All Good Tax Pro for my 2024 tax return, and unfortunately my experience was quite disappointing…read more What was promised / my expectations:I was told I would receive thorough guidance, timely submission of my return, clear communication, and a finalized set of calculations for my refund, they never filed my State, both Kansas and Missouri. What actually happened:* My preparer missed several items for example: They never filed either of my state taxes.* Despite agreeing to finish by February, the paperwork was delayed, and I had to follow up repeatedly.* Communication was unclear: I received vague answers to my questions, and at one point was told "it's done" when it clearly wasn't .* Because of the delay/errors, I faced extra stress (and possibly extra cost) when dealing with the [IRS/State tax agency]. Why this matters:When you use a professional tax preparer, you expect accuracy, timeliness, and trust. My experience failed onall three. I ended up spending more of my own time (and worry) trying to correct or clarify things that I had hoped would be handled properly. What should change / what I suggest:* Better double‑checking of forms and calculations before the client signs off.* More transparent communication: if there is a delay or a problem, it should be communicated proactively.* A clear checklist shared with the client so both sides know exactly what documents are needed, what has been done, and what is still pending. Only charging what we agreed on, and not changing the amount for filling, that never happened.

I've never had such a simple tax filing experience. I'll be sticking with All Good Tax Pro!read more

Came across this Tax service while searching for a Tax Preparation company in MO. The biggest thing…read morethat stood out to me while researching Norma's Tax Service is that it doesn't matter where you look for reviews for the company is that they don't have any mediocre reviews - let alone any negative reviews - and this is over years. It is an entire team here, which is better than some companies that are one person or a 'married team,' since they can lean on each other for advice or information. It is definitely helpful that they are with the times and have a 'dropbox' to upload documents that some older tax services who refuse to update don't offer. First time hiring this company, yet they were able to find deductions that I overlooked when I did my taxes last year via Turbotax, and deductions that another company overlooked two years prior, and they were willing to amend them. My taxes aren't cut and dry, especially being overseas. But, while MO is my 'home of record' - I will 100% be using Norma's Tax Service - since the price they charge is barely anything compared to the amount you'll possibly leave on the table.

This past years taxes is the last year i will be using them. They filed an extension which I was UNWARE of and just randomly made a stop in the business to find out there had been an exstension, no phone call no emails to notify me I needed to give more documentation. Then my taxes were filed wrong WITHOUT me reviewing them!! Never have I EVER had so much issue this year as any other year. On top of all that I paid more this past year than I ever had paid. I will not be returning.

I was later than I wanted getting in, but they took care of making sure my filing was on time and correct. Even better, I essentially had the same documents as last year with a slight increase in Social Security. In spite of that, Starr's cost was about $100 dollars less than the much better known giant I used last year. Five stars is well deserved.

I have been an entrepreneur for almost 20 years, and in all that time, taxes and accounting were a…read morenecessary evil, not a joy in the least. If you've ever worked for yourself, or owned your own business, you know it requires multiple hat-wearing/juggling. The taxes are a HUGE stressor, and frankly I have a terminal "fog" over the details of my returns (certainly not my expertise). After a four-year-long go-around with the IRS as a result of incompetent advice, I recently turned to TaxWise for a "second opinion." After one consultation with Randy at TaxWise, I realized I'd never really gotten my money's worth from the CPAs I had paid in the past. To them I was just another "return" to file by the deadline. During my first visit to TaxWise, Randy actually took the time to ask me about my goals. He actually LISTENED to my answers. He made suggestions that seemed "obvious" once he said them, but no one had ever advised me like that before! He even gave me information to help with my situation. All in a single consultation. TaxWise seems to have a completely different approach to taxes (and business). They actually CARE about the success of my business. I am still in the throes of the IRS drama, but am just now, after working with Randy, mending the damage that was previously done. I wish TaxWise had been in Kansas City when I started out years ago. With the straight-forward advice Randy gave, I would have been way ahead of the game by now! At least I found them now, and will continue to recommend them to any small business owner I meet.
