Try your luck at BevMo, they usually have everything you want and with a seriously standout selection. This applies for beers as well, lots of craft beers on hand. Oh, they also sell beer kegs, 4 day reservation required. Liquor selection is also pretty impressive, that Whiskey aisle must be very popular as it dwarfs their already large vodka selection nearby. Friendly, knowledgeable staff has always been on hand to help me find what I need and make suggestions as well. This is one of my favorite places to come to. Sometimes I buy something and sometimes I do not, I enjoy seeing what is new and looking at the items to try next. I have been here a few times over the years, and you know something I always find something delicious to take home with me, even if it is a bottle soda, or tequila, or rum, there is something here for everybody. The staff is second to none, they are always helpful and they can be found throughout the store. When you are trying to find something specific all you do is need to ask, and trust me they know exactly where it is if they have it in stock. What I always like when you come in to BevMo is the employees are always doing something, like filling orders for online customer orders. As for the prices, they are the best in the area, and you will get plenty for your money, so if you need something for that party, or just something to sit down and relax by, this is the place you should come to. read more

This is the only BevMo in that I know that can get in my favorite beer, Who you Callin' Wussie Pilsner. Every time I call they have it stock and put a few six packs aside for me. All the employees are awesome and I've never had a bad experience here. I'm set on my beer for a few more weeks, I bet when the time comes around, they'll have my beer back in stock. i just can't understand this. i asked for 4 empty boxes (given, i was not buying anything) and i was treated like i was a beggar asking for a cash handout. this is just rude and bad public relations. it was so ridiculous and upsetting. if a business has a thing that they throw away regularly, it only goes to serve the business and the environment to give them away; this serves to increase goodwill all around. they have mountains of unused boxes and i'm sure they crush others multiple times a week. i know they use them for paying customers, but only a fraction of them. i had to push the employees to give me 4 boxes, out of dozens they have stacked up. it makes me never want to go back to this store again. read more

It's a party, it's a party! Been here on several occasions to buy booze and some snacks. They carry a bunch of sodas, energy drinks, chips, snacks, candy, cheese... etc. So don't think that BevMo is all alcohol because about 1/4 of the store is non-alcohol items. Prices are a bit more expensive than your average grocery store like Safeway across the street but I don't mind paying an extra dollar since all the alcohol or items that I need is in one place. Associates are super nice and helpful. Ask them a question and they'll most likely be able to help you out as much as they can. Clean and friendly store. I think nothing makes a gal feel older than never being carded at a place that only sells alcohol. I was here buying a gift for a friend's housewarming and I find my alcoholic beverages (which were covered in dust, not a great sign of cleanliness - good thing it's only liquor) and head straight to the counter. I have that quick mini-debate in my head about whether I should not pull out my id and make them check me or have it ready because I'm anal like that and I hate it when other people in line are just fumbling for their money. Don't do to others what you hate it when they do to you. But before I can finish my inner struggle of analness vs the golden rule, the cashier just asks for credit/debit or cash, swipes my cc puts my alcohol in a brown bag and ushers me on my way. So it's still a bevmo - good prices, lots of variety and totally overwhelming. But compartively this Bevmo is not a very good one. The parking is crowded because it shares a lot with a car dealership. The deli section is smaller and has no free samples for cheese etc. It was quite disappointing because we were looking to sample some cheeses to go with our wine. No bread, no real dips, no meats really . . . . so sad. The place is really crammed and packed. It feels just akward and not an easy shopping experience. It's also rather unorganized. Great for a liqour store - way sub par for a Bevmo. The Bevmo on Camden is much better, bigger, friendly and has the almost free sampling on Fridays and Saturdays. read more

We're going to a scotch tasting party in a few weeks, so a stop at BevMo was in order. Woohoo, what a selection! I was really tempted to skip past Oban 14 (the reason for my trip) in favor of some of the more obscure but tasty looking whisky's. I consider myself pretty in the know when it comes to whisky, but I saw sever brands I was unfamiliar with. I just moved here from Seattle where liquor stores are all state operated, so BevMo's variety, cleanliness and affordable prices are all tops in my book! Plus, they take the prevention of underage drinking VERY seriously. I'm 30 as was ID'd by the cashier. And because I have an out of state license, he also called a manager over for their approval. In honor of it being Friday, I thought I'd impart a little wisdom for those who will be imbibing this weekend. Last week the bf and I took advantage of Bevmo's 5 cent sale (going on now to November!) to stock up on a little Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. After the wonderful Rex Hill 2006 Pinot Noir I had in Vegas I couldn't wait to get home and crack a bottle of pinot open. Wow, was I disappointed. Because I couldn't justify spending $37 on a bottle of Rex Hill (for a special occasion, yes, but not for just any old day) we went with a $20 bottle of Quarry that looked promising. It tasted like dirt. Really. I don't know if we just got a bad bottle or what, but it was undrinkable. Even my bf who isn't quite as picky as I found it undrinkable, so we took the bottle back half full (we didn't even drink the glasses we poured!) plus the unopened bottle we'd received for 5 cents and got a full refund. I've never taken wine back but Bevmo has an awesome return policy where if you're not completely satisfied with your purchase you can bring it back for a full refund. They didn't even ask us what was wrong with it. Of course we turned right back around and stocked up on even more wine which is where they getcha, so really it's a win-win situation. To sum, awesome customer service, awesome selection of every type of alcohol you can imagine, and this is also where I come for my party supplies. They have little plastic wine glasses you can buy in bulk, all the cocktail mixing equipment you can imagine, snacks like cheeses and chips, chilled bottles, knowledgeable help, wine tasting on Saturdays.... What more can you ask for?! read more

I'm a big fan of BevMo and especially their 5 cent wine sale! However, unfortunately, this time, we didnt' see anything included in the sale that we really liked. They have a great selection of wines, liquors and mixers, as well as snacks and stemware. Basically, if you need it for a party, you can probably find it at BevMo! The only reason I'm holding back a star is that I always have a really hard time finding what I'm looking for. Several times I've gone in with a few specific wines on my list, and I know they have them, but I've not figured out their system for organizing the wines yet. I always have to ask. Which isn't terrible, but this last time I asked how they arranged the wines and the guy helping us said 'Kind of alphabetical order, but also by price point.' That helps a little, unless I don't know how much something should cost. Anyway, i'll figure that out and will definitely be back!' Cheers! read more

BevMo deserves a review, and the one on Stevens Creek deserves even more of one because it's where I've been going ot the longest to buy booze and cigars. First off, I miss the old layout. The store was much nicer when the Cigar area was a series of glass showcases surrounding that one guy who knew everything about every cigar in the place. Having the cigars against the wall is a bad thing, reminding of the BevMo in Mountain View, whcih I consider inferior. The other problem is the selction here is smaller than many other BevMos (it's about 2/3 the size of many and is much more open that some) and the whiskeys and such that are there tend to be the ones you'd find everywhere, except they also carry more of the ones that'll make you choose between paying rent and drinking that one really good bottle of Bourbon. It's a weird fact. The food choices are what you'd expect, and the staff is friendlier than most other. Still, it does feel like you're shopping for liquor at a supermarket, and that's not always a good thing. read more

This location moved to the strip mall on the corner of Winchester and Steven's Creek... and that's the first best new thing about it (parking is a SNAP now compared to the older location! Also, it's easier to get to if you're getting there by highway.) The second improvement is that it is bigger than the old location. My tip to people who know what they want... get an account, order and prepay on-line. This way when you get to BevMo, go to the pick-up counter and there's no fuss, no-line (but they need like 2 hours to prepare your order). This saved me like over an hour of line-waiting on busy days, like New Year's Eve! Another tip... if you know you want something on ice... call the location, ask to speak to a manager and they'll move what you're looking for into the ice bin so that it's nice and cold when you get there. I've done this with Vodkas, Wines... and even some nice Belgian beers I wanted to bring to a party. read more

I bought a few cases of beer for my wedding at the Willow Glen location and found it cheaper somewhere else the next day (not even 24 hours later). Called willow glen and they refused to price match or let me return the beer. Called this location and spoke to Tim. He advised me that if I was unsatisfied with the purchase in any way I had 90 days to return it. I asked if I would be able to return my beer to this location instead and he told me to come in and and he would take care of me. Great customer service from Tim!! Will definitely be coming to this location from now on. read more

Who doesn't enjoy the selection of booze and drink accessories at BevMo? Every drink item under the sun all in one place! Service of the employees is friendly enough, and they have pretty good knowledge about their products. I went in for all of the makins for a Bloody Mary, and not only did they have a nice selection, they also had bacon salt for the rim and bleu cheese stuffed olives to make it even better! I also love their selection of mini bottles of alcohol...great way to try out new brands or flavors without having to commit to buying a huge bottle that you may not like. read more

Prices are better than Safeway for hard liquor so that is good. The buy 1 bottle of wine and the 2nd one you get for 5cents is somewhat deceptive. You can actually pickup the wine for less if you look. If I'm going to spend over $20/bottle then I"m going to a wine merchant. If it's under $10 then Trader Joes! :-) I could go off on my rant about Napa/Sonoma wines being over priced and over hyped but will refrain. read more

Great selection of beverages and drinks. All the employees are very helpful and if they don't know the answer they find someone who will know. I asked if they had a beer with a specific taste and they recommended a couple drinks that were similar or that I might like. The recommendations were great. They have a rewards system as well. Disappointed in management at BevMo "redesigning" its wine "areas" and replacing with "varietal" areas... no more "Australian" section so if you want to look for a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, you'll have to search for it interspersed with CA Sauvignon Blanc. Want a Chilean Malbec? Search for it among CA Malbecs. Ridiculous ... did they bother to survey their customers? Nope, this was a "corporate" decision to create what they refer to as "world set". In order to accommodate folks who come in for a "white" or "red" & couldn't care less if it's good, bad, expensive or cheap. Good luck BevMo, I'll shop at Beltramos, K&L Wines or, heaven forbid, Safeway, before shopping at BevMo again. Well slap me silly and call me Billy! This is like Toy's R Us for drunkards. When I stepped inside my eyes lit up like a young prepubescent girl at her first N'sync concert. Sexcellent selection of booze. Super roomy, cool inside, nice interior spaces, wide aisles and a friendly layout. prices aren't steal-cheap, but they are fair in this current economy. sake is a lil' more expensive than buying at a Japanese Market. But by golly damn they have a good selection of beer to choose from, they have my favs and mo!!!: Singha, Hinano, Hemp Ale, Maui Ale's etc etc etc. Excellent selection of wines, hard liquor, rare exotic liquor, root beer too. its an alcohol buffet. If you are an alcoholic your brain will explode. the staff here sure as heck does a good job of cleaning up the brain bits. At any rate, they also have expensive gourmet snackies. but you can skip these and find them cheaper if u plan to stop at your local Market. But convenience is the key here so the gourmet shit (meats, cheese, crackers, chip, lemon-lime squeezer, or Ming Tsai's single sushi board) come in handy when you are on the run. i actually spent more time here then I planned to. they just have so much cool shit to look at that i had never heard of before! need beer? get some here! read more

As much as I may rant about this place and prefer a wine store like K&L to purchase my wines, BevMo does have a large selection of micro beers and scotches. They have Lagavulin 16yr old here for only $66! Also if you sign up for their "membership" your first only order gets 10% off of $75, which is pretty handy if you keep signing up. Wine wise though, you're better off buying from K&L or Wine House in SF. read more

The two stars are because of this terrible customer service. I moved to the neighborhood and wanted to get a couple of bottles of wine. I've been a Bev-Mo customer for a very, very long time. I usually buy whiskey, and sometimes beer. Recently however, I bought a 6-pack of pyramid hefeweizen, I should have put it back when I noticed all the bottles were dusty, I mean really dusty like they had been there a year. I put the 6-pack in the fridge for (3) days, unfortunately they were way way more than stale and old when I popped one open. I've also been noticing they really don't have great pricing anymore, even the ClubBev sale items are still priced too high. Each store that I've been to is packed wall-to-wall with stuff, stuff which isn't selling -- it's just sitting there. Also, if you try and call customer service --- there is nobody there to answer the phone. I will still continue to look for good deals at BevMo, unfortunately I find myself finding better deals elsewhere. read more

Seems to have a good selection, despite this being one of the smaller BevMo stores I have been to. Haven't had to ask for customer service, but the checkout staff have been nice on our visits, so far. A larger selection of glass serviceware on the cheap side (like those you might purchase 24 or more to a box) would be the one change I would ask for. read more

Steven and I stumbled upon their tasting day. For $2 per person, we got to try three wines, five beers and a cherry soda, AND they had chips and salsa there! I was hoping the person hosting the tasting could be a little bit more knowledgeable about the beverages, but he was entertaining, friendly and easy to talk to. The staff here are very helpful - Steven asked about the kinds of mead they carry and one young lad led us to the mead isle and was able to introduce us to two of them and gave us a bit of background on both, which was very helpful! This is one of the bigger BevMos around the area, and I've always gotten really great customer service here when inquiring about types of wine and beer, as well as the food pairing and tasting notes! read more
