I had a terrible experience at BevMo on August 28, 2026, around 6:30 PM. My friend and I went into the store intending to purchase liquor. I was asked to provide identification simply because I was accompanying my friend. At the time, I did not have my wallet with me, so I explained that I was unable to provide my ID. I then left the store, but the cashier still refused to sell the alcohol to my friend, even though I was no longer in the store. When we returned later, we were told that they would not sell to either of us unless I physically showed identification proving that I was 21. I understand that businesses have to follow age-verification laws and can have policies regarding identification, but the way this situation was handled seemed excessive and unnecessarily inconvenient. The two cashiers working at approximately 6:30 PM on August 28 were extremely unhelpful and, in my opinion, handled the situation poorly. There was little explanation of the policy or why my presence alone prevented my friend from making his purchase. read more

Welcome to an adult playground! Jelisha welcomed us in and it was time to have fun with some gift cards I had. So many options and fun things to look at, such as their unique glasses, mixers, and vast array of any item you could dream of. This store is well put together and appealing as soon as you walk in. Quite possibly the smallest Bev-Mo I've seen, I did manage to stumble across some older vintages of Italian and French wine that only nerds like me would know about. I won't divulge any secrets to benefit the competition.... Over the years I've generally moved away from this chain towards the incredible selection found at various Total Wine stores, but never say never, some gems and general stock can be found, nor does every location carry the same exact stock. Definitely some variation, and there is also a generic housebrand of Italian, and presumably other nationalities. These are usually contract wines, other notable companies do this as well, particularly Trader Joe's and Costco. When in doubt go go for the better vintages (Italian wine is best from 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2020) Building reward points is less rewarding here and slower than Total Wine, for example, but a dividend is useful is it not? read more

Horrible customer service. Stopped by on the way to get my father in law a birthday present me and my husband are 30 so I understand carding we went in with our 5 year old daughter and when we were checking out the manager carded me even though my husband was the one purchasing I have done retail before so I understand when you feel the need to card everyone that looks underage but we aren't a group of teenagers we are a younger family with their child my husband asked if he could take us home and come back because I didn't have purse and she straight out said no. Now this isn't a law the they have to follow. Carding everyone in the group is at the stores desecration. If we were a young looking group I would understand. She could have gave us grace and a warning for next time since it's not illegal to not card everyone in the party. But from the second we asked her to unlock the bottle we wanted she had full attitude. Will not be coming back here. But if you are don't bother there's a bigger BevMo 10minutes with more selection and better customer service. Every worker here clearly doesn't like their job. read more

HUGE wine selection and sometimes they have the BOGO for .05 cent sale on the wine. Unfortunately, the wine I purchased wasn't part of the sale, but it was still a good deal, with my BevMo membership. They do not have a lot of options at all, they're very small and the staff was very rude.

How's your whistle? Is it parched? Is it dryer than Death Valley? Do you have cottonmouth? BevMo has the remedy for all the above. This store is filled from wall to wall with adult privilege. Don't abuse it or you could wind up somewhere you really don't want to be. If you're an adult then act like one. Never overindulge. Be responsible. That said, BevMo has flavors most other places don't. This is a specialty store that can light up your night, and if you're not careful, make you sick by the morning. If you come here you're grown. This is not my local location but we were attending a college graduation party , down the street. We've known this young man since he was 10yrs old and today everyone was getting together to celebrate him graduating from USC. So it was a must to get him a Don Julio 1942 tequila! With the free membership rewards card , I received $14.00 off... Bonus! Another great thing about Bevmo , is that they sell all the seasonal beer's. Every other month... they pick a selection of wines , where you buy a bottle & get the second one for 5 cents! Come on! That's pretty awesome! Also remember to always bring in your ID. I'm wayyyyyy over 21 and they demanded that i show my drivers license. .. hahaha So basically come get that bottle of alcohol that's difficult to find anywhere else. My review is pretty much an echo of Chris H's. This BevMo is smaller than some of their other locations, and they didn't even try to fill it. Their beer selection is equally small, comparable to the Ralph's grocery store across the street, no joke. If you like quality craft beer go to LaBodega....heck, even the liquor store down Van Buren next to Stater Bros has a better selection of good beer. If you want wine you might like it, but if you like *good* beer don't waste your time. Good thing I work close to Total Wine in Rancho. Went to the grand opening of this new BevMo today. The employees were friendly and helpful and I got to taste a few beers and some wine. I do have a few issues with this BevMo, though. First, it's quite a bit smaller than a standard BevMo, more like a BevMo, Jr. I wondered how they were going to get the amount of inventory I'm used to seeing into that small building, and now I know, they didn't. I would suggest checking their website first to make sure they have what you're seeking. Also, my complaint with BevMo in general is their pricing. If I'm ever looking for a nice bottle of scotch, I usually try to coordinate a trip to Cucamonga where I can hit the Total Wine, which always beats BevMo prices. But, if you live in this part of Riverside and you want something convenient with a fairly decent selection, I would say this BevMo is a distant second to the La Bodega on Central. ---------added 4/29/2014 To be fair, I was shopping for ingredients to make Blue Hawaiians, and everyplace I looked charged $15+ for a 750ml bottle of blue curacao. I stopped into BevMo and found a one liter bottle for less than $10, so I did save about $7 over grocery store prices. The brand was Potters, which I've never heard of, but it's just blue colored triple sec, so who cares. Next time, I'll just add blue food coloring to some $4 triple sec, now that I know there's no taste difference. read more

This BEVMO is awesome!!!!!!! Seriously the best BEVMO location I've ever been too! The staff is super helpful and very friendly! Today was my first time doing the alcohol tasting! It's only 2$ and it's free when you spend 10$! The guy doing the tasting was super cool and really funny!! He gave good amounts and was very knowledgeable of the items being samples! This BevMo is clearly unprepared for the Christmas Holidays. There are numerous out-of-stocks throughout the store. A major chain store should have plenty of clout with suppliers to have a steady inventory during high demand time periods. They likely have leveraged their relationships at their corporate level to maximize their inventories vs forecasted consumer demand. If that is the case, local store management is likely to share in the blame for lack of availability to the consumer. If not that, you have to question if BevMo lacks the financial resources to obtain appropriate inventories. Speaking to our local store management team, they indicated several high level staffing changes have occurred with many experienced veterans being shown the door. Obviously, something is "ajar" here. Fortunately many local liquor stores have sufficient quantities on hand. The unfortunate thing thing is most don't have the significant variety of items that BevMo Carrie's which may necessitate a few extra stops for those holiday purchases. read more

The staff does not seem to understand customer service. I asked about a specific beer two weeks ago (the "Resilience" Ale. ). One employee said it was on order. I came back several times, still no beer. I asked today, and the cashier said "...I don't know anything about that..." and she never offered to find out, nor did she ask another employee. With a small selection of interesting snacks, sodas, and alcohol, this BevMo is a bit underwhelming. However, it's always fun to peruse the aisles for fun new flavours. Like most reviews here, I was disappointed by the measly selection of beers, and I've seen better at chain grocery stores. However, I got quite excited by the variety of flavoured vodkas! Too bad they're so damn expensive. We had to limit our purchases to a soda, a couple hard liquors, and a jug of mixed alcohol (cocktails?). The woman who rung us up was so friendly and helped us save 3$ by signing us up for the free BevMo card. Even though it was minutes before closing, she cheerfully waved a couple inside for their late night fix. You could probably find a larger selection at another nearby BevMo, but in a pinch, this selection will do nicely. read more

Service/Staff: 5/5. Everytime I've been here the people working there have been friendly, in some cases going above and beyond to search out what I was looking for when the last one on the shelves just sold out. Price: 2/5. Every time I see the same item for sale here and at some other place (La Bodega, Trader Joe's, Ralph's...), it's more expensive here. Usually by just a little bit, but a dollar here and a dollar there starts to get annoying. Overall average 3.67/5, rounded up to 4 because usually the friendly staff outweighs the price enough that I feel good on the way out. If you like spending way more money on the same beer you can get at Stater brothers Or Von's then this is your spot. I stopped in here a few times after I go to Sprouts grocery store and they never have any deals on anything. Hell even sprouts grocery store had better beer prices. Even their miller light is four dollars more than grocery stores. I don't know if I'm supposed to wait for some great coupon in the mail but I should be able to go in here and get a good price on an interesting type of beer. The customer service at this location is not consistent. Sometimes it's decent, other times its pitiful. Ive had some downright horrible service there recently. Depends on when you go I guess. Beer selection is only average for a bevmo. Overall, bevmo has gone downhill I think. There are a ton of grocery stores and supermarkets that have decent selections and prices now. I usually don't write negative reviews because I try not to put to much energy or thought on unpleasant experiences. However, the customer service was terrible this time around. A tall white male rang me up. I was buying a total of $65 dollar worth of alcohol. Before completing my transaction, I asked him if I could use a $10 coupon from the Bevmo app. I assumed maybe it was a birthday coupon. He bluntly asked what's the expiration date. I responded with there is no expiration date listed on the coupon, which is why I asked if I could use it in the first place. For some reason, the coupon wasn't going through. I then told him that I was using a gift card. He said that he had to rung me up on a separate cashier station because that particular station did not take gift cards. That was odd to me. I honestly forgot to remind him about the coupon because I was really bothered by his attitude and approach to the whole situation. I personally feel like it was a tactic on his end based on his snippy attitude. Maybe I am wrong. Turned me away at 6:30 because supposedly they didn't have any more bottles for wine tasting! Wtf you only do wine tasting for two hours and you can't complete it from beginning to end? Maybe they need a new manager that orders enough or maybe the guy pouring just didn't want to work anymore? Either way, I really looked forward to sampling. I never get Fridays off. We drove all the way there. Why not offer just what you have at a reduced price or something and salvage my feelings or your reputation as professional? I know this is trivial but I had a terrible day. My work is cutting hours and you stopped doing Saturday wine tasting that I did enjoy often. I work right next to this Bevmo and have been wanting to check it out. From the moment I walked in, two different employees at different times were willing and ready to help me. Why is it that I went to this BevMo today and there was a short, male cashier wearing a beanie cap who was not very friendly? He didn't ask if I wanted a bag nor did he say thank you.
