They sell a wide variety of wines, beers, hard liquor, mixers, energy drinks, snacks, and much more!! Like any other retail shop, they have sales and deals! They even have a rewards program for you to sign up for. You can also go to their online website and order for the retail store location of choice for the in store pickup. They also have online shopping and shipping to your destination. Overall, a great selection of alcohol for that one stop shop. We were quickly greeted upon entering the door. I like visiting my friends in La Mesa because it gives me an excuse to come to this location which I find way better than the ones in the other parts of town. At This location I'm in and out. It's that organized and labelled great. Ain't a lot of time wasted here. It's big. It's bright. It seemingly has every product known to humankind. That being said... I could also spend a lot more time here if I'm not careful because as I continue to walk and shop my eye catches something new or different. I like trying different brands and this place seems to carry even the most obscure ones. On the opposite end of the liquor section are groceries, gift cards, cards if you're gifting alcohol to someone, ice etc. Not a full supermarket but you'll find snacky foods and ice cream etc that goes well for when you get the munchies / if you need something soak it all up. For the first time at one of the most cre4aztive stores to the many people that have traveled to the many liquors and spirits stores for one place that has the many things that you can get for a party for the adults they do have the best drinks and the spirits included for the store it does have the best view of the valley. What is the word describing a place that has the many alcohols and the many flavor foods that go great with the many cordials and snacks? The many places that are here in San Diego they don't have the many fine spirits with the feel of walking into a regular or that of regular liquor store the crowded areas with the many mirrors that the cashier watches you as you walk around. With the Bev Mo stores you have the wide stores going there on Friday to the Grossmont Center drive location I had come to get some things for cooking and a gathering that I was having at the house. When I had arrived at the store it was one that looked small from the outside with carts that were outside at the front door grabbed a cart at the front walking inside surprised at the store inside. The great customer welcome was one that took a few minutes with the many people they had working is to get the attention and to ask where certain cordial, was kept asking of the stocker on the floor that was pricing products. I was looking for Baileys Irish Creme it was for a desert that I was making cheesecake he directed me to where the bottles were stocked at. The many bottles of the products they had stocked there and the prices that I had checked online if you order online, you get the online price. The many Isles they had with the many products that were well stocked with the prices that were in view of all time. Bev Mo is one store that has everything that you can get for parties with the outdoor events for the purchase of kegs for the larger events. Bev Mo has more of the dinner party style with a fine selection of wines and the cordials that you need with the many dinner foods that you may need for appetizers. For the many retails and groceries stores the time I spent at Bev Mo the store is set up as a one stop shop for if you need the extra supplies and the different sprits for the big games, I saw many on Friday that were shopping for the Superbowl. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer, the day I had on Friday shopping at Bev Mo to see such a great store with the many great products you can sign up online for the discount program that when you come to the store you can give them your phone number and get the discount. I have been to the many stores and the grocery outlets that have such higher prices, yet Bev Mo has the great greater selection in supplies and the many fine wines and the drinks that can make your parties or dinners a great hit. Took 35 minutes to get a table of 5. Terrible service at the check in table and no warning about time to wait. Food is below average took 10 minutes to clean a table. Not enough seats for more than 6 people which resulted in a 15 people standing for more than 35 minutes .All tables are very unkept for 15 minutes at a time. But are waiter was amazing. read more

If you can't find it here, you'll have to order it or get out of town! Many, many choices here, but it can get somewhat pricey if you don't shop the deals. The 5¢ wine sale is always good with the buy one get one for 5¢. I like the Unruly Red myself. If you like a bold, red blend that'll match with many rich red meat type dishes. But I really know very little about wines overall other than most of the styles and regions they are from. As for the beer they have a vast selection of craft, Belgian, German and other imports. Whiskeys, Scotches, Tequilas, Cognacs are probably one of the best selections in town. We don't have a Total Wine in SD so, I think you need to drive to Temecula to the closest one. I've bought mini kegs from them for several years and they've been at good prices too. One of the best values I've found here was New English Zumbar Stout in the $10 range for a six pack. Another great, not easy to find blended scotch they have is the Cutty Sark Prohibition 100 proof. Under $30. So the values are here, just search for them! read more

Liquor prices are quite high compared to Costco and Sams club. The reason BevMo is so amazing is because you can find all your alcohol beverages under 1 roof. They offer a vast variety of liquor, wines and champagne beverages. This location is very clean with large debris feel aisles. Unfortunately, my last few visits the line was extremely long and there was only 1 cashier ringing up customers. The customer service was great. One stop shop. It's like a mini Walmart. Their selections are outstanding. The customer service is awesome. Super clean store. They have every food and beverage you can think of. I am from the East coast and have never been to one of these locations and I wanted to find some non alcoholic beverages others than the typical ones they have at the gas stations and the selections they had were awesome! I then adventured over to the snacks aisle and was blow away with how many items they sell. They even sell cards ! Shopped here for years, will never return. First, I need to preface this with the fact that my wife wife walks with a cane due to a brain injury. When we shop she uses a cart to help stabilize her gait, and make her less self conscious about her disability. No carts out front of shop so we head inside. There were two carts sitting unattended between the register station and the wine selection. One half full of empty boxes, another had a single small empty box in the front basket. We moved the empty box to the half full cart and proceeded to shop. Roughly twenty minutes later an employee approached my wife while I was in another part of the store and began harassing her over the cart, going as far as telling my PHYSICALLY DISABLED wife to go outside and get a cart if she needed one. Harassing customers over an unattended cart? Are you joking? If there were "millions of carts" outside as this person told my wife, repeatedly, then feel free to go get one. I had to tell him off to get him to leave us alone. After several minutes discussing the situation with my wife we returned the cart to the incredibly rude employee, with several hundreds of dollars of product therein. Will never spend another dime there. The Santee location is a bit more of a drive, but well worth it to avoid this level of poor treatment. read more

Every single time we place a curbside pick up order, no one ever brings it out. Today, we checked in, waited 10 minutes then called the store. The lady apologized and said someone would be right out. 10 more minutes go by and we finally just go inside. The cashier working the online pickup straight out says "oh yea I heard her say to bring it out but I blanked it out because I'm helping with the line". Cool bro. I've been here a couple of times because there isn't a Total Wine and More in this area. I'm sure BevMo will stay in business I'm just not sure how long now that Total Wine and up and going. The prices here aren't too bad but I do like Total Wine prices better. The employees here are helpful just depending on which one helps you. 30 MIN WAIT IN LINE.. TWICE. "SERVER ISSUES" I went to this location two times inside of one month and both times their "servers were down." FIRST VISIT: " you must downloader app to order something to the store, then walk to the front counter and buy it , we do not accept cash at the moment." SECOND VISIT: The last experience on 16 December was especially inconvenient as the manager ensured the line of 26 patrons that the server reboot would take no more than five minutes, then another five minutes, and eventually 20. The Mission Valley BevMo told me about this location. It is a much larger store with lots of wines, beers, and spirits. When I first entered the store the clerk greeted me and asked if I needed in help. Great start this doesn't happen all the time when you enter some store. I was in the market for a new rabbit wine opener because my old one broke and my husband really liked that rabbit. Luckily, they had a few styles to choose from. The store was clean and there were plenty of wines, beers and spirits to choose from. Some brands I was familiar with and some I was not. We came here about 5 minutes before closing on a Sunday, and the two remaining employees were not annoyed at us at all - or hid it well :) - though they had every right to be. I used to work retail, and one of my biggest pet peeves as an employee was seeing customers come in last minute, the way we did tonight. With that said, I will go out of my way to praise the awesome customer service displayed by the two employees at this place. I wish I would have gotten their names for recognition. They treated us with kindness, and did not show any signs of frustration, as we strolled in last minute before they had to complete their closing duties. This BevMo is well organized and they offer a solid selection of beers from various microbreweries, wines, and hard liquor. I typically prefer beer, as shown in my photos. I think it's funny to see that they offer a pretty big selection of chips and even Pirate's Booty near the counter. I show up and they said they don't have the bourbon I wanted. Drove half an hour out of my way just to find out they didn't have it. What a waste of time. The La Mesa BevMo is one of the best. It has plenty of space to walk around, you do not feel like if you turn you will break something (Mission Valley location). They have the best selection of wines, spirits, and beers. If you are unable to find what you are looking for BevMo usually has it. Even if your event is closer to another location Maria is the difference between a mediocre experience and a stellar one and will make your event a success. She was patient with us as we coordinated with her from two states away and everything showed up on schedule and without hassle. I was here recently to buy some beer and Kahlua. I found cordial isle and two employees happen to be chatting it up right near where I was standing. There were 3 different sizes & prices for bottles of Kahlua the first & smallest for 19.99, 2nd & medium for 29.99, 3rd was the biggest & highest priced. I wanted to know if the 29.99 bottle was double the size of the first bottle. It was on sale and I didn't have my glasses on. Here is where my experience went left.I asked the 2 employees behind me for help, the blonde female employee rolled her eyes like I was interrupting something intense idk. No problem let's move on. In steps Jordan. I ask,"Is this bottle double the amount of liquid than this one?" He then proceeds to slowly put his finger on the 750ml & ask "Is 750ml half of 1L ?" Then put his finger on the 1L.( For those that don't know it's the 2nd bottle is the better deal,but just barely). It was his tone and the pace and way his said it.If I had felt he was doing the math himself, and was taking his time to complete his conversions to himself I would have no problem. If he had just said "No it's not." I would have no problem. If I was shown any type of the customer service I had received there in the past I would have no problem.It was a moment for him to use his teaching skills to try and walk me through this equation the same way an irritated Dad would do to his son while going over something for the the 10th time. My GF approached right at that moment, so I decided to keep my mouth shut & walked to the cashier but I was upset at that very moment. In all fairness i didn't catch his name at the time,when I described him the cashier that's what she told me. Anyways support your local corner store & Ralph's & costco are cheaper. San Diego's 1st bevmo. It is actually on the large side and carries on average more variety than other county Bevmo's, not on the small side at all. They stock the largest selection of craft beer, both local and national/international, but they have lots of hard to find spirits, cordials, ingredients home bartenders use like apertif's and garnishes. Parking is weird and since it sits unobstructed on a hillside it gets some crazy sunset light. Staff is very helpful when you can find them as their walk in cooler area is humongous. I'm almost certain this was a former grocery store. Overall selection is great, peep the back craft soda wall for their sarsaparilla and root beer selections. All bevmo's lack actual bar equipment and high end tools, but it's sort of like party city in that regard. Staff is friendly when you can find them, displays are a little trivial, but they do have weekly specials and though some items are higher than competitors all in all your experience here price wise will show them to be cheaper in the long run. read more

I've just recently discovered my deep love for porters and stouts, especially of the craft variety. My husband would often come to BevMo for his craft IPA but I would wander around bored while he took FOR-EVER picking out what he wanted. I used to complain about how long it took him to pick out beer when I could walk over to the wine or liquor section and come out with my choice in a minute. Well, now that I'm in love with these craft beers I understand why it takes time. BevMo has a great selection of craft beer, both cold and room temperature. I love their descriptions of the beer and the recommendations. I wanted to limit myself to two pints, so I seriously switched my beer choices three or four times in the 30 minutes we were there. I wish they had a few more stout/porter options in the single smaller bottles, but they do have plenty of other beers in that size. There are always plenty of employees wandering around and they are more than happy to help. One word of caution, though: We noticed that not all the price tags matched the beer in its various locations. For instance one pint was listed as $8.99 in the fridge, $6.39 on the shelf, and $8.99 on the end cap. We asked an employee and she confirmed $6.39 was the most recent price. Also one of the bottles I purchased was listed as $3.99 but rang up as $4.29. For 30 cents I didn't object, but make sure to keep an eye on what's ringing up and what price you expected to pay. Besides that, between this place and my favorite liquor store down the street (Helix Liquor, ya'll!), I'll have plenty of delicious craft porters and stouts to choose from. Cheers! read more
