If you're looking for a reliable honest mechanic, Avi is your guy. After I had my transmission replaced (from another transmission shop), my check engine light came on. When I had Avi take a look, he made sure that the prior transmission guy didn't mess anything up. After he confirmed it's another issue, he reset my codes and had me come back to narrow the problem. Avi mentioned instead of throwing money randomly at problems, let's isolate it and fix the actual issue at hand. After a few back and forths, Avi narrowed it down to a failed pump. He initially bought me a cheaper pump for value (trying to save me money), but after that one ended up being a dud, Avi bought a new one that cost more and now my car is running smoothly and did not charge me for the first failed pump. Avi is an absolute life saver! My car broke down in the parking garage at my doctor's office and the AAA tech identified that the starter had gone bad. My oil light went on yesterday, while I was in the neighborhood of Beverly Hills Autowerks. I don't live anywhere near there. I called on a whim hoping for an oil top off. They helped me immediately! Within 10 minutes of calling, my car was on their lot and the my hood was open. Avi went above and beyond- he wrote down exactly what type of oil my car needed and the volume. He heard my exhaust and told me the issue is my exhaust has a leak. So in all, he assessed my car and gave me so much advice all while topping off my oil. My entire stay there was maybe 20 minutes. I needed a mechanic for my Mercedes slk 280 since I thought my transmission was failing and felt there were other things wrong . My old mechanic said he doesn't fix transmissions and he didn't think anything else was wrong and told me to take it to Mercedes for transmission problems. Thank goodness Mercedes wouldn't be able to help me for quite a while and i knew they would charge me more so I went on yelp and looked for someone near me and i read the reviews and hoped they were true . Avi and Joseph took care of me right away and worked around my schedule and were happy to give me rides back and forth since im not far away . Avi found many things that were wrong since my old mechanic for years didn't address them . I had a bad experience with another mechanic years ago and so I'm just so leery of going anywhere and my friends use the dealerships . My car is 2008 and not that many miles and I told Avi i love my car and do not want to get another one. My car now runs well now and he couldn't find a problem with transmission and he thought he knew but not sure so wouldn't have me waste the money and as it turns out the car runs better and I haven't had the problem with transmission .Even tough it was a big job it could of been more to fix transmission . I wish I could give these men more stars. They deserve every one for their honestly, compassion and efficiency. Here's what occurred in my visit: I just birthed a child and walked out to my car after a doctor visit nearby only to find my car displaying tire pressure extremely low. I just had my car serviced elsewhere a couple days before so I just thought it was my sensor. The tire didn't look low. I called Beverly Hills Autowerks to ask about checking my tire pressure. They were quick to answer the phone and told me to come right in. I showed up and even as I was driving in, one of the techs could tell which tire it was low! It was the same one displaying low tire pressure. They immediately they took my tire pressure, they found the leak (you could clearly see where it was coming from) and fixed it so efficiently leaving me to be able to drive back home to San Diego safely. I can't say enough about these honest guys who actually care about their customers rather than a dollar. Once they charged me, it was so reasonable compared to what I could've been facing elsewhere and I left feeling well taken care.
