This review is for Dr Hariri and how he conducts his practice. His receptionists and NP deserve five stars, and honestly they would be better off working elsewhere.
I came to this office at the recommendation of a fantastic specialist who has helped treat a chronic medical condition. Dr. Hariri seemed nice at first and with me being in the medical field, he said a lot of lingo that I understood kind of well, but it would have been better for him to slow it down a bit.
Things got worse after that. He sent me to quest to get labs, and then he was going to call me for lab results. He did, but he just went rapid-fire and was basically like "this is what you're gonna do. Have a nice day." He didn't give me the opportunity to ask the questions I wanted, and I felt brushed off by his used car salesman demeanor. If this is how he treats medical professionals, I can't imagine how he treats people who don't understand medical terminology. I also messaged him on the patient portal beforehand because I had to reschedule our initial phone call due to unexpected circumstances, and I could not reach out to him through there on a timely basis. We did reschedule, but I had to call his office after hours, which was inconvenient and different from other providers who respond to portal messages on a timely basis.
A few weeks after, he did send me a portal message stating that I can get started on the next steps of his "plan" but I deferred. I went to see another allergist for a second opinion and she was taken aback by what Dr Hariri had requested I do, and she said that it was good that I came to seek a second opinion, as he was requesting tests/vaccines and immunotherapy that I didn't need.
Dr Hariri's office also sent me bills from Quest to pay for his labs that cost a few hundred dollars. Thankfully I had a benefits card for work that covered those costs. However, the timing of getting those bills after I declined to follow through with his plan was a bit strange...
I don't recommend this practice. I can't deny that he knows allergy and immunology, but his practice is more focused on churning patients in and out and is more like a factory than a place where people feel comforted and guided. His demeanor needs to be worked on and was not what it once was. Stay away! read more
