I've struggled with previously unidentifiable stomach issues for years. I saw many doctors and specialists without getting an accurate diagnosis or successful treatment. From my first appointment, Dr. Khadavi was different. He listened carefully and took my symptoms seriously. He didn't jump to conclusions or dismiss me as others had. His approach was thoughtful and methodical, first ruling causes out, identifying the underlying issue, and then creating a treatment plan. And if one step didn't work, he had a Plan B ready. For the first time in years, I feel stable and able to live my life without constantly monitoring every bite of food or in fear of flare-ups. He also reviewed my asthma medication and noticed I had been taking a sub-clinical dose of my preventative inhaler. Went to this guy a few years ago or so because I was having a lot of bad reactions to different foods and things. He was cold, rude and dismissive and insulting. He tried to suggest that my allergies were psychosomatic. Turns out he was full of crap cause now I go to an Allergist & Immunologist who knew exactly what it was, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome which can cause anaphylaxis to a variety of things and sometimes it can cause it spontaneously with no trigger. I started treatment (at Allergy & Immunology Center in Encino,) and I am feeling so much better and have not had a reaction since starting treatment. I wish I would have gotten a second opinion sooner but my visit with Khadavi left me feeling disheartened and discouraged to seek help. I think of all of the Anaphylactic reactions I could have avoided had I just gone to my current doctor sooner. I told my current doctor about my experience with Khadavi and he could not believe it and he said "its not psychosomatic when you're throat is literally swelling shut." Anyway don't waste your time with Khadavi.. don't risk having more reactions just to be passive aggressively called crazy by your "Doctor." read more

Dr Khadavi is the best! I switched from another allergist during COVID when I couldn't get ahold of the other office. He made himself very reachable and his office was incredibly helpful during a very stressful time. I soon switched over to his office fully as I wasn't seeing results from 4 years of allergy shots at my other office. I came to see Dr Khadavi from the good reviews but maybe I should have read them better. Firstly the receptionist Sansrety (apologies if I misspelled) and the Alejandra in the billing dept were amazing and so knowledgeable so 1 star for them otherwise this would easily be zero stars if yelp allowed that. Sadly I cannot say the same for the actual Doctor. The reviews are mostly based on patients coming in for a simple allergy shot, which doesn't take much skill or technique. however, if you want a medical professional to diagnose you please do not waste your time or money here. My pet peeve is when dr's just start googling your symptoms straight away, that's exactly what Dr Khadavi did, I mean come on! You think I can't google something at home, did you really go to medical school and call yourself a "specialist" or even a doctor if all you can do is google something and then keep asking me what I want to do?? Umm I came to see you because clearly I don't know what to do and you're supposed to be the medical professional with years of studying, or maybe you don't have any and it's all a front. I've been seeing Dr. Khadavi since 2014. More recently I switched my son's allergist from someone else to Dr. Khadavi. When you build a long-term relationship with a doctor and you can trust him, there's no reason not to have other family members be taken care of by that doctor as well.  That's how I feel about Dr. Khadavi treating my son. I'm thrilled that my son now sees Dr. Khadavi for his allergy and asthma needs as well. 3-9-23 I am pleased with Dr. Khadavi and his office, I have been getting regular allergy injections. Each time I come in the office staff is welcoming, there is a comfortable area to wait and I am seen quickly. The doctor is efficient and effective during all injections and keeping me posted with all my progress. The office works well with insurance company to minimize any insurance compliance challenges and the doctor is always available to answer all my questions. On a couple occasions, the doctor stayed after posted injection hours to accommodate my schedule. I highly recommend Dr. Khadavi as a competent, considerate, and down to earth allergy doctor and encourage him to all family members for any allergy or asthma needs. read more

I had a skin reaction and was able to see Dr. Khadavi the next day from when I had called. There wasn't a nurse to bring me back but the doctor himself. I explained my skin irritation and he ran the tests between food and the environment right then and there. The test only took 15 minutes to see the skin reaction. He gave his diagnosis and I was on my way. There was no back and forth having me return to make another appointment for the results or the test. My skin irritation is slowly decreasing. Honestly, Dr.Khadavi improved the quality of my life! I was suffering insane allergies every winter and would have to cancel on several holiday obligations because literally couldn't breathe! I used to suffer some crazy congestion, sneezing, runny nose, just an absolutely miserable way to live. Dr. Khadavi figured out what my allergies were and put me on an allergy shot schedule. I needed to find an allergy doctor and after googling as people do today I found Dr Khadavi. As you can see he has stellar reviews. I made my appointment. Then the day came and I went to the office. The front desk staff were minimally polite. It sounded as though one was new and the other was training her. Prior to the appointment I had provided my insurance details and was glad to know that he is in network and takes insurance (Blue Shield). When I got there the front desk lady asked for my ID and Insurance Card (normally this is when they run the information and verify what is covered etc.). She asked me to wait and fill up a form while she had my two cards. Once she was done she called me to return my two cards. The Dr came out and we went to do my consultation and my tests, I did a flow test and an allergy panel. That all went well, he was friendly enough and understood what I needed help with. He said I needed to go on Singulair and that I needed an inhaler. Then he asked which pharmacy - all pretty standard. Once I was done I went out to check out and the front desk (this time a different one) told me that my insurance took care of it and I have nothing to pay. Suddenly yesterday (original appt was on November 20,2020) I received a Bill from "Kareo Billing" for $369.40 with no other information (no breakdown of the visit or any other information). I check with my insurance and there is nothing submitted from Dr Khadavi's office. When I called no one answered so I sent an email and they said I had to call billing. So it turns out they use an outsourced billing company. I call the billing company and they tell me they can send the information. They send it and I pay because what I don't need is for this then to go to a debt collector while I'm trying to find out what happened. It turns out that the flow test was $100 and that the allergy panel was $900. More transparency would have been appreciated for the cost at the start or at the end. Where I stand now is that I'm waiting to hear back to know what their charges are and what I will be charged at my next appointment. Surely there is a range of what a typical follow up visit would cost. I find it concerning that there was no clarity on the cost and the need to outsource the billing and that the office staff do not know anything about billing considering the office defines what patients are charged. If I don't hear back sadly I will probably need to cancel my appointments going forward as it is extremely uncomfortable not to know what the charges are going to be (at least a range). However as a Doctor he does know what he's doing and he's kind and gentle. Make sure you find out what the charges are, that they tell you and run your insurance prior. read more

For context, I went in with no major issues and really just wanted to figure out what allergies I had, if any. The check-in process was pretty quick and efficient. I normally upload and do paperwork prior so I was annoyed with myself when I discovered I hadn't (I had rescheduled my appointment so not surprised). Even with that, the process only took a couple minutes and their new patient paperwork was one page, one side which practically feels unheard of. The doctor picked me up from the lobby, we went straight back, chatted about why I wanted to be tested and for which ones. We did the test, I waited 15 minutes, and then we reviewed in less than 5 minutes. I would say the entire process was probably 30 min or under. Usually, I find myself showing up early (like I did today) and still waiting past my appointment time to see any doctor in LA so it was really nice to not have my time wasted. Upon moving to Los Angeles 6 years ago from New York City I developed wheezing and a tight chest. I came here with my brother for a food allergy test. Dr. Khadavi has a very gentle demeanor. We went through the normal procedure. Most doctors try to rip you off and take advantage of the insurance you have. Dr. Khadavi not only found the cheapest way of payment but helped me figure why I was so allergic to shrimp. I went in to get allergy shots a few weeks ago for a terrible dog/horse allergy I have. I've always had bad allergies and I had gotten an allergy test before, but I wanted to re-do the test to confirm that I was still allergic to the same things after several years. I made an appointment, brought my insurance info in, and met Dr. Khadavi. He's really friendly, very straight-forward, and for someone who isn't great with needles - the shots have been pain-free! When I first came in, the allergy test we did was on my forearms - no painful needles on my back like the very first test I had ever done. After about 15 minutes, Dr. Khadavi came back and confirmed that I was very allergic to dogs and horses and mildly allergic to a few trees/pollens. We talked about possible options, but decided that doing a twice weekly dog & allergy shot would be best! And I'm already a few weeks into treatment, and it's been a breeze. Checking in is super fast. I come in Tuesday & Friday mornings, pop in, get a shot in both arms, and am out within 5-10 minutes. The past several times I've come, I was there for such a brief period of time that I didn't even need to pay any money to park in the garage! While they do not validate parking, it's only $1.60 for 15 minutes, and besides my first visit, which took about 30 minutes, I've never parked there for longer than 15 minutes. The waiting area is also very relaxing and has comfy chairs. I'd definitely recommend this location & Dr. Khadavi to friends & family. read more

He is very courteous and understanding of my allergy needs. Allergy medication can become costly and that was an issue for me and Dr. Khadavi was able to provide affordable options. Also, I checked into Yelp and got a free nasal rinse! Tip: They don't provide parking validation. If you don't mind a short walk, park in the residential areas (watch out for the parking signs!) for free. I found 2 hours free parking on the street. I've been seeing Dr Khadavi for over a year now and he has been so helpful to me. I've had recurring sinus issues for years and have seen many doctors without much benefit. Dr. khadavi immediately set up a treatment plan for me and coordinated with other doctors to get me on the right path. He always kept me informed and constantly stayed in touch with me. My insurance denied one of the medications that worked for me by he went ahead and appealed it and got it overturned. I thought this was a great place with friendly staff. I came here for my first visit on Friday morning. There were a lot of people when I came in but people went in and out really quick. There was lots of parking outside so that wasn't an issue. I came in because my asthma was terrible. I haven't been able to breathe since I moved to LA a couple weeks ago. He did some test on me and immediately noticed how low my breathing was and quickly prescribed me medication and sent me off and told me to make an appointment to check things in a couple weeks. I appreciated how quick he was and I was feeling SO MUCH better after just one day. He seemed very knowledgeable and concerned and didn't drag anything out. Quick and to the point.
