Lovely hotel, and the main hotel game in town. :)…read more Had a charming guest artist doing live music while we stayed. Food is good and the rooms are plenty serviceable. Extra shout-out to Angela (?) the manager running the inn: the day we checked out my wife caught a cold, it was pouring rain outside, and our boat wouldn't depart till 3pm. She let us stay in our room for 4-5 extra hours as we rested inside -- super grateful that they delayed our leave until so late, we appreciate it so much!

Seldovia has about 350 residents give or take so it is a quaint little town across the bay from Homer. You must fly or ferry in and it is quite the adventure! I really enjoyed my stay here, I was traveling for work and the owners were very accommodating, my room was clean and very comfortable. With an amazing view of the water. Very quiet location and super comfortable beds and pillows. Located right in the center of town you can walk just about anywhere you might wan to go from this location and the ferry takes you almost to the door step. I cannot wait for my next trip and stay here at The Boardwalk! Read less I had the opportunity to return to Seldovia when the Cafe was open and the food was just fantastic! Over the course of four days we had the chance to try quite a few items on the menu and enjoyed each one. The cilantro jalapeno hummus was delicious and the hummus was obviously house made which is a real treat, served with pita bread, carrots and cucumbers this was a perfect evening on the deck appetizer for two or a great dinner for one! The seafood chowder was flavorful and full of seafood, a very heart choice and served with two warm bread sticks YUMMY!! The rock-fish sandwich was grilled perfectly and also super yummy with a fresh little salad on the side; they have some of the best salad dressings i have ever had TBH. The chorizo breakfast burrito was big enough for two people and served with salsa and sour cream it was crispy and full of delicious stuff!!! My favorite dish though was bar far the sweet chili Buddha bowl! Rice topped with delicious fresh greens grilled fresh rock-fish and the best sweet chili dressing ever!!! For being a small village off the road system the prices here were quite the deal. I cannot wait to return to Seldovia and enjoy this hotel and cafe once again.

All of the baked goods are made fresh right there by the owners and the coffee is delicious. Almond milk is available as a dairy alternative. I did not stay at the inn, but there are one bedroom apartments available, and apparently the kitchen is available for your use! This place is adorable and is 5/5 stars.

Fantastic, and affordable, place to stay in Seldovia!…read more The host was wonderful and so was the dog. Confession: the dog was my favorite part. He's such a sweetheart. I felt like I got to have a dog while I was in Seldovia. Rooms were spotless and homey. Great location, walk to everything. Best free breakfast I've ever had at a hotel, way better than the crappy "coffee & carbs" setup everywhere else has. I will be back next time I'm in Seldovia!

I immediately tried to cancel the reservation by calling and emailing the information located on the hotel confirmation page, the phone number voicemail was full so I instead sent multiple emails to the email on the confirmation page in attempt to contact someone who could help me. The owner Marry who was very unprofessional and rude called me the day of our check in to tell me we had missed our check in, I told her we tried to reach out multiple times to cancel the reservation and she claimed she did not receive anything. I then sent her copies of the emails I had sent to show her I tried to reach out she then told me that was the wrong email, I explained that was the only email listed on the reservation page and the phone number as well listed on there was full. She was very rude and argued with me practically calling me a liar when I showed her the proof of my emails, she then said she was going to charge us anyways for the two nights for not cancelling. I told her I was not paying for the two nights because I had tried to contact someone multiple times. She then charged my card anyways without my authorization. Do not make the same mistake I did and book a room here!

I honestly have never felt so relaxed in my life after staying here for 4 days. The massage was top notch, and the sauna was amazing, right on the cliff overlooking the water and eagles of Kachemak Bay. Even in the fog and rain, the setting was incredibly peaceful and lovely, and it the weather actually made it seem even more beautiful and relaxing in my opinion. I will never forget sitting in bed and watching thousands of shorebirds fly by over the course of our stay in early May, or the 5 eagles that flew right above my head as I soaked in the hot tub. It was wonderful to enjoy the beauty and wildness of the Homer Spit from the luxury of such relaxed and wonderful little boutique hotel.

The location is super quaint and an amazing view of the bay. Everyone who we encountered while coming and going was super friendly. As a guest of the Inn you have access to the hot tub. I appreciated how staff asked us to request hot tub times so everyone had the hot tub to themselves making it a more enjoyable experience. We didn't really get to appreciate and enjoy them to the full extent since we arrived so late, went promptly to bed, and had to get up early in the morning. But based on the amenities and location, this is definitely one place I would return to if I were ever to find myself in Homer again. Check in was a little strange, being that you had to check in in a separate spot outside of town. But other than that, the entire check in process was smooth. The space itself was clean, conveniently located, and the bed was phenomenal! We enjoyed the jetted tub and the clear skies and beautiful views of the water. Walking distance from the harbor, several restaurants, and shops, this is the place to stay in Homer! Just beware, that if you stay here in the off-season, you are pretty much out on the spit by yourself with almost no amenities available. The property itself was well-kept. The lodges are right on the beach at end of Homer Spit, and there was some maintenance construction happening on two or three lodges while we were there--inside the apartment, it was completely silent, though. The radiant heat flooring was a nice touch, and it was great to have direct beach access through the back door. This place also has incredibly soft, fluffy bath towels--this is one place hotels often scrimp, so I am always appreciative of great towels. The shower was a bit tricky to figure out, but an employee answered the off-hours phone line and walked us through it.
