We asked for a "view" spot with our reservation. She told us it wouldn't be a problem. This is our view.

We reserved 3 nights because Heritage RV park was full and Homer Spit Campground refuses to answer their phone or check messages.... the view looks great so we will try this place. We asked for a view with our reservation. We were told there were plenty of sites open so a view wouldn't be a problem. Our view was another rv. The grounds were clean. Most people were quiet and respectable of each other's space. While a steep walk, the access to the beach was nice. The beach was beautiful-especially at low tide. There are over 100 sites at this campground. There is one locked bathroom for men and one locked bathroom for women. There is one shower in each of these. There are also a couple of portapotys throughout. The night I got here every one of the bathrooms was out of toilet paper. I went to tell the lady at the office, but while in the bathroom she left for the night. They do have good WiFi that works all the time. For the price you are paying for this campground.. 10 dollars less than Heritage, but 20 dollars more than Homer Spit... it's a emergency place to stay. The amenities for what you are paying for are non-existing. For 10 more a night at heritage... you get many clean showers to choose from, a coffee shop and an indoor cafe area which is great for kids. Multiple laundry facilities and so much more. Go there... if you can.

Had a wonderful time here- clean rooms, comfortable bed, wonderful office folks. The BEST view, eagles on the beach, and easy beach access. Very close to two favorites, Portside Coffee and Fat Olives. But, make a big fire on the beach and spend your time there!

This place is a hidden gem--don't judge this book by it's cover! Wow! The view cannot be beat, but be sure to ask for a lower lodging room--the lower you are, the closer to the bay you are! So peaceful, quiet and relaxing! This is a family-owned lodge with a restaurant and RV park in addition to the lodge! The queen-size beds are very comfortable and the room is clean and spacious enough for us. The bathrooms are super clean! I was grateful to be able to use an on-site, very clean laundromat. Our room has a microwave and fridge. The best feature is that you can open the window on your door to hear the waves and smell the seabreeze! The owners are friendly and very accommodating! There is a trolley that stops next door at the Best Western on the hour so you need not drive anywhere.

This is from my balcony and our tour bus in the shot as well. You can walk right down to the beach.

The View! The View!! The View!! This is all about the View! From what I understand Homer does not have 4 or 5 star hotels . This place was great. The owners and staff are extremely nice. Keep in mind this is a Motel. It is very clean and the beds are very comfy!! Great big TV. Rooms are spacious and Location is great. Small Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Coffee tea bags. No AC but window with screen that you can leave open for fresh air or you can grab a fan from the front desk. I would def recommend!

    View from our balcony.

Great view! Rooms were big too. WiFi was hit and miss but only used it at night. Lots of parking! The bathroom wasn't as clean as it could be. For example: the used bar of soap from the last customer was still in the bathtub. Gross! The maid left an envelope for tips......no tip. Sorry!

We were on the cusp of the slow season, but the room was only $10 more per night than the (stinky & icky) Beluga Lake Inn.

I honestly have never felt so relaxed in my life after staying here for 4 days. The massage was top notch, and the sauna was amazing, right on the cliff overlooking the water and eagles of Kachemak Bay. Even in the fog and rain, the setting was incredibly peaceful and lovely, and it the weather actually made it seem even more beautiful and relaxing in my opinion. I will never forget sitting in bed and watching thousands of shorebirds fly by over the course of our stay in early May, or the 5 eagles that flew right above my head as I soaked in the hot tub. It was wonderful to enjoy the beauty and wildness of the Homer Spit from the luxury of such relaxed and wonderful little boutique hotel.

The location is super quaint and an amazing view of the bay. Everyone who we encountered while coming and going was super friendly. As a guest of the Inn you have access to the hot tub. I appreciated how staff asked us to request hot tub times so everyone had the hot tub to themselves making it a more enjoyable experience. The hotel staff use texting as the primary way to communicate. This was nice - when we wanted extra towels we just sent a text.

Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers. If having a seemingly unlimited selection of all three is nice, you'll like it. If you don't like sharing with the previous guest, no good. There were a few small items on the sink. Plenty of hot, HOT water. HUGE TV. DirecTv. Mini Fridge. The bed was comfortable. No complaints. It is located in a good spot. Sort of in the middle of all the action. Close to Homer High School, Carrs/Safeway, Homer Jeans, and plenty of restaurants/coffee shops/breweries. Well two breweries. About 10 minutes from the Spit, give or take.

While the room may have been a little dated, the accommodations were still comfortable and had everything that we needed during our stay. They also have a restaurant/bar called the Otter Room that had pool tables and such. It seemed to be pretty popular in the evening but we didn't utilize it. The breakfast options offered by the hotel sounded pretty great - it included an omelet bar. The room also had the basics of shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. Internet service worked great too. We got a pretty decent rate by utilizing a AAA discount, so be sure to look into that option if you have it. Our room was located on the top floor and was relatively quiet. Some rooms may have a view, ours only had a "peek-a-boo" view of the water if you looked hard enough. There was some road noise due to the occasional overly loud truck driving down the road. Really the only thing that may be an issue depending on who checks into the rooms on either side of you, is that the walls are a bit thin. We could hear our neighbors alarm clock in the morning and bits and pieces of their conversations. Overall this hotel met the bill for our needs with its convenient location, value, comfy accommodations and easy parking! Would definitely recommend to others!

We didn't really get to appreciate and enjoy them to the full extent since we arrived so late, went promptly to bed, and had to get up early in the morning. But based on the amenities and location, this is definitely one place I would return to if I were ever to find myself in Homer again. Check in was a little strange, being that you had to check in in a separate spot outside of town. But other than that, the entire check in process was smooth. The space itself was clean, conveniently located, and the bed was phenomenal! We enjoyed the jetted tub and the clear skies and beautiful views of the water. Walking distance from the harbor, several restaurants, and shops, this is the place to stay in Homer! Just beware, that if you stay here in the off-season, you are pretty much out on the spit by yourself with almost no amenities available. We ended up eating at McDonald's because it was the only thing open in Homer at 8 PM on a Wednesday night.

The property itself was well-kept. The lodges are right on the beach at end of Homer Spit, and there was some maintenance construction happening on two or three lodges while we were there--inside the apartment, it was completely silent, though. The radiant heat flooring was a nice touch, and it was great to have direct beach access through the back door. This place also has incredibly soft, fluffy bath towels--this is one place hotels often scrimp, so I am always appreciative of great towels. The shower was a bit tricky to figure out, but an employee answered the off-hours phone line and walked us through it.
