Although there are televisions w/cable service in both bedrooms, we never watched as the scenery stole the show, as did the cow and calf moose walking past the place! We were a party of 4 adults (3 men, 1 woman) and the only things we cold come up with were to add a steamer basket and a garlic press to the kitchen amenities... A+++ place to stay! Will definitely stay again if/when we go to Homer, Alaska again!

The Spit was a short drive for fishing, shopping and dining. We saw Moose and Sandhill Cranes in the yard. I would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone visiting Homer.

House sits atop a beautiful grassy hillside with wildflowers blooming all around. Amenities include a full kitchen, laundry facilities, a large living/dining area and patio (and two comfy king-size beds!). Super affordable and nice owner/operators who can guide you to local restaurants, fishing charters, tourist attractions, etc. Highly recommend this rental if you are considering a trip to Homer.

I had specifically wanted to stay in this house, being familiar with its location from when I lived in Homer. On 09/07/2016, I received an email from Sheryl, property manager, that it was available on these dates. I bought non-refundable airlines tickets thinking her word was solid. On 09/11/2016, I wrote an email that I was anxiously awaiting an invoice to get my deposit made. On 09/14/2016, I was invoiced and my VISA was charged $25.00 deposit for my stay. By 1312 that afternoon, Sheryl wrote that the Bungalow was not available! Even though Sheryl offered other places to stay, I was not interested, as I am familiar with them. She did refund my deposit and I found a different place to stay next year. Really unprofessional handling of this property! S-L-O-W responses. Inaccurate statements about availability. Duplicated questions from her about guests and dates. It was as if several people were answering the emails, so I inquired if there were other people answering them (she stated she was the only one). Disappointing! Would not EVER attempt to do business with them again.

The coffee was delicious and the cabin was very clean and spacious! Each cabin has its own grill and full kitchen with dishes and utensils. We traveled with two dogs and two kids and we all had an awesome stay with a perfect view. Kelly even has little fire pits beside a picnic table for each cabin with firewood provided! Would highly recommend Glacier View Cabins and can't wait to stay again! Oh, and I have to say the shower was even great and didn't run out of hot water even with four of us showering, perfect after a long day of exploring.

The grounds included a bbq gazebo, picnic table, adirondack chairs, and to great delight a spa overlooking the Bay with a crisp view of snow capped mountains and vaguely the Spit. There is also the quaintest inset wood walk going part way down the bluff with access to the beach. Our rooms' quality and impeccably clean furnishings continued the luxurious aura. From decor to amenities, our stay had us feeling pampered. Rest came easily in the crisp quality bedding. And relaxation was plentiful as we created each day reposing over steaming coffee in the upholstered chairs with beautiful Bay views from our room. Evening was slow and easy after a soak in the spa and wrapping in the luxe robes provided. Among other activities, we enjoyed the -5 low tide pools at Bishops Beach. Biking the walk/bike path out onto the Spit. Flagship Creamery has the cutest mini $.75 ice creams for kids and a "blow your mind" crepe bomb for the adults, don't miss the bubble station on the deck while you're there! Calvin and Coyle Trail and the Karen Hornaday Park were more family favorites. Our favorite eats were Two Sisters Bakery, Wild Honey Bistro, Alibi, Captain Patties, and Cosmic Kitchen. The "Stay Awhile" vibe was strong our entire time at The White House Inn. Five out of Five recommend.
