My problems were with the office administration. For starters, they changed the insurance coverage they accepted twice in the 4 years I was a patient, so I had to change my coverage as well - that's twice in four years, so I wasn't staying with any insurer long enough to qualify for the full benefits. And I would only find out about these changes when I showed up for my appointment just to be told, "Oh, we don't take that insurance anymore." There were no treatment or billing coordinators, so if I wanted to discuss a treatment plan, it had to be with one of the dentists - and I had to wait 6 months for a consultation appointment. And if I had follow-up questions, I had to take them to the receptionists who were not qualified to answer those questions. So even though I like all the people in the office, I am now shopping around for a new dentist.

I recently had to switch from my current local dentist because our insurance no longer supported them in our network. I initially had some concerns because I was happy with my previous care, you know how it is. But by the time I left it was obvious I would be in good hands. Everybody was very polite and interested in answering all of my questions. I'm relieved to be continuing my dental healing journey here at a business that clearly cares for its patients. They did a…read morecleaning and checkup, and I did see a dentist, but it wasn't Casey Williams - apparently he was on vacation and another dentist was filling in for him. Everything went well, so I made an appointment for my next 6-month cleaning/checkup. I did see Williams on the next appointment, and he told me I needed 3 crowns replaced and more than half a dozen fillings. Strange, since the previous dentist sent me off will a clean bill of health, and I have always had regular dental care. I made a follow-up appointment to discuss the proposed work in a little more detail, but Williams canceled that appointment at the last minute, so I took a copy of the evaluation Williams did to yet another dentist, who told me I did need to replace one crown, but said he couldn't confirm any of the other issues in Williams' evaluation. So I saw 4 separate dentists that year - my previous dentist, the dentist filling in for Williams while he was on vacation, Williams himself and the new dentist. And 3 of the 4 dentists did not believe I needed anywhere near the amount of Williams had proposed. And here's the cherry on the top: one of the fillings Williams had proposed was for a tooth I don't even have - I lost it many years ago.

(sorry don't know her official title, SAINT maybe) I have had the best dental experiences of my life here! And I have had, root canal, extractions, partial bridge, crowns, permanent bridges. I can also say, he has learned my nerves and how to numb me up better than any previous dentist. The NEW, this year, office manager is sweet, sorry bad with names. She did not complain about my insurance, and they are a pain. She was able to get preapproval and handled everything without incident or did not worry me with it. I will be a patient here forever. The long version... I started going here when Dr. Wiggins opened. I am a fearful patient at best, mostly terrified and always had difficult experiences with every single dentist. Maybe one or two were okay. Dr. Tomczyk was kind and took my concerns seriously, patiently discussed the options and why I may be having issues with the numbing agents not working effectively. He built trust with me over time and experience. I have known Michelle the entire time. She has been there for me through my tears, vibrating in the chair/shaking, I am so pathetically afraid. I was always treated very well by Michelle. These reviews don't mention her. She is wonderful! AND super cool, professional and empathetic. Trust me, I have terrible teeth and I have experienced a few dentists and right hand nurses in my day. THESE TWO are the best. How this man extracted teeth from my mouth, NO PAIN, NO sedation I will never know. Previous work while sedated with the former owner rendered my jaw sore for 10 years, (yeah the old dentist). Dr. Mike is the only dentist I will see until he retires. I just told them where ever I move on the planet. I will fly back to see him! I am not his friend. As a previous patient implied the good reviews were his friends. I will say, Rhonda was great, and I can say she was always nice to me. But I agree that insurance issues were happening. And she did make me a little uncomfortable stating how my insurance was problematic. But maybe she was just done coping with things. We can't know what is or was happening. in someone else's life. But I know the leader, Mike, would be dealing with things appropriately, which meant having patience with his staff. We can never know what is happening to someone in their life. We need a little patience as the song goes. I mean no disrespect to anyone, either old staff or folks who had a bad time. At the end of day, Mike is the best, quickest, kindest dentist to ever work on me. Michelle is a saint. The hygienist I am seeing these past few years is great. You can't make everyone happy. But if I won the lottery tomorrow, Mike and Michelle are on the list! How many people can say that about their dentist? So that's my two cents.
