The people who run the hotel are off - property, yet they are very easy to reach in case you need to. You do all of the paperwork ahead of time, and then when you check in, there is a keypad where you enter your information, and a door to a little box pops up that has your key. You do the Reverse to check out. This is a very nice little hotel. At first glance, you might not even realize it's a hotel. Maybe a dorm or apartments? . Very charming. I got my key, and I was very pleased with the room. The room and the bathroom were spotless, the TV got a good picture and a good number of channels. there was a fridge, but no microwave, there were plenty of places to charge my gear and the Wi-Fi had more than enough speed to stream video or do work. There's also a desk that you can eat/work at. The bed was extremely comfortable. There is no breakfast available at the hotel, , but the little Turkish café, Cafe Manzara right next door is fantastic. Great food, at decent prices. (see separate review...). The room was neat and clean and the bathroom was spacious with a cute barn door. There are EV charging stations onsite and an awesome cafe right next door for Turkish coffee and delicious food (Cafe Manzara). The TV had a multitude of channels and streaming services. The owner could not have been any nicer! My dad was very happy with the accommodations and had a great nights sleep during a very busy weekend. The chute entrance into the canal is suited for anyone - but especially useful for elders or those with mobility issues. But the best part of Erie Canal Boat Company in Fairport is the owner Pete. He wants everyone to love boating and get the best experience possible. First he has and knows everything about the equipment and will get you perfectly situated for what you need to have an amazing time out on the water. What really shines is his personality though... Pete is a giver and is generous with his time, expertise and enthusiasm for paddling. He not only runs the shop, but helps get you in and out of the boat and safely in and out of the canal. He loves what he does and he loves helping you get out and enjoying the canal. His enthusiasm is contagious. He is simply THE BEST!!! We had the best time this morning and can't wait to spend many days this summer out on the water with Pete's help. Just be brave and go. It's the most wonderful feeling!

The water was clean in some parts and not in others. There were a few large branches we had to avoid. We got a quick good lesson on kayaking before we went into the water; it was very helpful. Our kayaking journey was absolutely beautiful. We passed a whole lot of ducks. They really kept us entertained. We passed a cute park, went through some gorgeous neighborhoods. Overall, there were a lot of trees on the shore by the canal so it felt very serene. I would recommend kayaking here! :)

We arrived at dark and the campground was well lit and directions were easy to follow. Laundry room and bathhouse nearby and kept very clean. Grounds well manicured with picnic tables and fire pits at each site. Tree branches are trimmed back so no worries about losing an AC unit. Very well maintained!! We are here in October so pools were closed but there are two and there also multiple playground areas for the children--- big kids too. Best WiFi in a campground yet! They had invested in booster boxes all throughout the campground. Just 40 minutes from Letchworth State Park---STAY HERE! you will be happy!

The camp spots are larger than some I've stayed at. Two laundry rooms that I have found (may be more). Huge store with all your camping needs, food, and entertainment and games for the kiddos. Miniature golf and swimming pool. water aerobics. Church on Sundays if you like church. Very large campground. Quiet a few annuals live here. They do themes on the weekends. Last weekends theme was all about kids. Great family friendly campground. Great for groups too! There was a very large group here last weekend.

The loops are not wide streets and it was a little tight to get out of our spot with a 28' and extended cab truck. If there were another camper parked across from us we wouldn't have been able to get out. Laundry on site and the store had tons of snacks. Past the old basketball court (across from section D) is a wandering nature trail/Maze. Staff that we interacted with were friendly and quick. Really quiet and peaceful place to stay for 2 weeks. Walmart is within 20 minutes if you need anything. Check out the Circle R farm store right down the street, too!

There is no age limit to the fun (there is a minmum age though because the owners do adhere to the 21 age limit for alcohol) but you know what i mean!! The weight limit is very disheartening to the garls but we were within the limit and had a fun night. Matt was our driver and he was courteous and plompt.
