True story. I once had a dream where I ran into Tupac. Yes the rapper Tupac. Back in my old neighborhood in Baltimore. I ran up to him and said "Pac! You're alive! I'm such a big fan! How have you been?" His response in a cool demeanor was, "Better dayzzz homie. Better Dayzzz". Then I woke up. So random and awesome. The next day I was searching for a dog friendly cafe that I can take my pup to enjoy some coffee. And what do I come across? A cafe called Better Days. If this isn't a sign I don't know what is. Soon as I got there, the ambience was fantastic. I felt like I was back in LA in some hip cafe around Echo Park. The staff were so enthused to see my dog. Offered her treats and pats on the head. She loved them. I almost felt invisible. They only cared about my dog. Then I think they realized my dog doesn't have money. So I became visible to them. I kid. Not a coffee snob at all but they recommended the madagascar latte based on what I told them i liked. They must be mind readers. That thing was hard to pronounce but delicious! Overall, coffee is coffee but the staff and ambience was a stand out. My dog loves it here. I swear when we get in my truck to go there, she already knows and gets extra excited. This is the second location of Better Days that I have tried and again not overly impressed. Service was friendly and helpful at this location but the drink was kind of a let down. I decided to try their Coco Cloud Matcha and it was kinda blah. I stirred it to make sure that the ingredients blended but still on the blah side. The vibe here is woody and beachy but the space is very small. We came here to have a book club meet up and we ended up outside at their picnic tables. My friend noticed that the tables had a hole for an umbrella so we asked them if they could bring them out. No bueno. We found a table that was being shaded by a building so we sat there. Glad it wasn't too warm of a day. I think they may excel with their coffee drinks but I would pass on their matcha drinks. read more

I was in this plaza for a meeting and really needed a coffee boost so I tried this new coffee shop. It's cute and the drinks are solid. I ordered a Spanish latte which has espresso, condensed coconut milk, and cinnamon. The guy at the counter was sweet and my coffee came out within just a few minutes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying their smoothies. Soooooo good! I was surprised my other half liked it because its rare that he likes the same foods I like. There is a lot of free parking outside. Its a cutle little place and clean too. Service was smooth and quick. I didn't have to wait long. Breakfast burrito was good. They have avocado, spicy sauce and salsa on the side. Hey Yelp Babes, first time here and loving it. I got the Better Basic Latte. It has salted caramel and cinnamon and has the perfect sweetness! The Pesto Chicken sandwich is surprisingly better than expected and their potato chips are so good! I know cafes can be hit or miss so I don't always have the highest expectations. A third location of Better Days Cafe just opened today! I saw the announcement on IG and popped in today - they have an opening deal with half off drinks, so I grabbed one for myself (Island Latte, with vanilla and maple coconut cream?) and a berry matcha for my work bestie. Just like the other two locations in town, this one has a chill atmosphere with a beachy vibe, plenty of plants, and a few outside patio tables with umbrellas - very boho chic. This location is on the smaller side but they did a lot with the space. It's also right next to a pilates studio too, which is practically a built in customer base. While I was there, a class let out and several people lined up to grab a drink. Genius, that would totally motivate me through the boomerangs. Service was friendly and fairly fast, considering they're new. Food menu available. If you need more space to spread out and work, the Town Center location is right up the street. Not a lot of seating, and it was a little cramped in there, but the menu was pretty robust. I just got a hot tea, but my friend said their juice drink was good. Right off Flamingo and 215, this spot has front and back parking, a beautiful space with seating inside and out, with so many outlets for your devices to offer a different work or study environment. The lattes are sooooo reasonably priced! Drinks are around $7 each so I'm not complaining! I'm a coffee girl but also incorporating matcha, so it's nice to see they have both including açaí bowls and actual food items like toasts and sandwiches if you need something a bit more filling. I got 3 lattes in one sitting to give them a taste. Ranking is as follows: The Madagascar vanilla is my #1. If a place cannot give you a good vanilla then they are a no-go. #2 the Island. The maple and coconut came through so well! #3 better basic. I expected the caramel and sea salt to come all the way through, but I didn't taste it. That was rather disappointing because sea salt caramel is my favorite flavor ever. If my friends see this review and notice I ranked vanilla #1 they're going to think I'm now a pod person lol. I don't ever rank vanilla #1, but here I guess they do it best and that's why it's my tippy top choice :) Definitely will try the other flavors another time. We usually come to the shopping center to eat Mediterranean food occasionally, and I wanted açai bowl this time instead of buying an ice cream as we usually do. Not a good experience. Visited this new location on Monday and will not be retuning. The girl who attended the counter is expecting and clearly does not want to be there. She approached the POS like I was a burden for coming in. I wasn't sure what to order as I've never been there. She didn't recommend anything. I ordered cheese sandwich and ice tea. I waited for me tea but realized she didn't charge me (even though I was clear). Instead ended up getting water from container in front and it tasted like bad tap water. I sat down to wait for my sandwich to eat there. It came out in a to go container, opened for me to eat there. It what I was expecting. Not sure between the two staff working was controlling the music but they kept skipping through songs because they didn't like the song that was playing. No one checked on us or anything while eating. On the way out the trash was full so just placed my container on top. Just not a good visit and unfortunately not a place I will visit again. I want to start by saying that I love the coffee, and I think they did a great job with the location. That said, every time I visit, the baristas come across as rude. It often feels like I'm interrupting them just to place an order. During my most recent visit, the barista didn't look up when I approached, and when she finally took my order, she appeared more focused on texting. I understand that customer service can be challenging, but even a simple smile or acknowledgment goes a long way. This hasn't been a one-time experience, and it might be worth considering additional training to improve friendliness and customer interaction. read more
