Scheduled an estimator to come by on a Saturday, and arrived in the time window as promised, with a variety of color/style samples. Didn't have my first choice in stock which was a bummer, gave me the choice to order it but I had to get the room carpeted that week as my kids new beds were being delivered soon. Luckily my second choice was in stock and could be installed that week. Initially the owner Ken told me Friday, but I asked for a couple days earlier, and he was able to do it. Installers were quick, just the one room, and my kids love their new carpet. Would def recommend and I'd use them again. Thanks!

The estimate came in at almost half the cost of the other we received and we decided to go with Wan. He could get started during a week we weren't going to be in the house anyway and our referral had a good experience. The floors look great but my baseboards and shoe moulding are completely covered in the stain and poly. I'm talking every single square inch on my first floor. They don't tape anything off and take no care in ensuring the stain doesn't get all over the place. I now have a $3000 baseboard and paint project on my hands that I didn't sign up for. I texted and called him after the job was complete to understand what we can do to address this and I haven't heard back. The picture I added shows about 5 feet of baseboard/moulding in my office. The entire first floor looks like this. You get what you pay for.

Brian has a nice website and is easy to get ahold of by text or phone. He came recommended so I…read moredidn't ask a lot of questions when I gave him my hardwood floor installation and finishing job. I regret that. I also regret agreeing to pay in full up front, which I now know is a red flag in general. If you work with Brian, some questions you may want to ask: * Will you take any measures (at all) to protect surfaces that are not the floor, like painted walls, trim, cabinets, light switches, doors, sinks, and millwork, or should I expect to find wood stain smeared on the first 1/2" of all vertical surfaces where they meet the floor and fingerprints/smears pretty much everywhere else? * If you stain things that are not the floor will you remove the stain if possible or otherwise fix the damage if not? * Will you stand by your installation work, or are there situations in which you will not guarantee that the floor will not cup, move, gap, bow, sink, etc? * Is there anything you are not mentioning to me now that you might offer as an explanation for poor results after the job is complete? * Does the quoted fee include the entire area under discussion or are you waiting to tell me about another fee? * If you subcontract the job, will I be dealing with you or with your subcontractor? * What will you do in the event that your subcontractor damages my property, eg puts a 12' long scuff down the face of a brand-new wood cabinet with a sander? Will you fix that or drag out dealing with it for months on end until I bring up a small claims suit? * If I pay you in advance, do you care at all if I am happy with your work? If I had known the answers to these questions I would have chosen to work with someone else.

16 Aug. 2016 We have never encountered a more unethical and…read moreunprofessional contractor as Varga, the owner of Noor Flooring. Do not use his company under any circumstances. If it were possible to give a negative rating, we would. (Maybe Yelp should introduce negative numbers. Noor Flooring would earn a -10.) Over a month ago, we went into contract with Noor Flooring to install hardwood floors in three bedrooms, a hallway, and a walk-in closet in our recently-purchased home. Varga came to our home, measured for the job and then gave us a price for the job, to which we agreed and after which we paid him a deposit, based on a written estimate. He then ordered the wood, delivered the wood to our home so that it could acclimate for four to five days, and started the work (after a one-day delay, which went unexplained). The morning of the second day that the work was to continue, Varga sent us an email saying that he had underestimated the cost of the job and would not be able to continue it. Yes, an email backing out of work that they had already begun! After bailing out on our job, at no point did Varga call us directly, apologize, try to explain the nature of the error, or suggest any other remedy. Any contractor worth his salt would not have made a basic calculation error in the first place (or might have discovered it sometime during the six weeks between the initial bid and when work commenced). But, ok, we're all human and make mistakes. However, a more ethical person would have been clearer about more specific about what the error was and proposed a way forward that would have preserved the working relationship and ensured that the contracted work was completed, given that he had started the work already. Varga's behavior during this period underscores his core unprofessionalism. He has yet to call us. He has yet to agree to refund our deposit. He has failed to respond to various emails in anything but a cursory manner. So we are left with rugs and subfloors fully or partially ripped up from rooms in our home, rendering those rooms completely unusable. We are unable to fully unpack and our home is in chaos - thanks to Noor Flooring. The situation is irreparable at this point. We would not ever let Varga or his Noor Flooring crew back into our house for any reason whatsoever and are seeking legal action against his firm. They are simply not to be trusted. Consumer beware - run in the other direction should anyone ever recommend Noor Flooring.
