A few years ago we talked to a salesman at Bayview shade and windows about installing an outdoor…read moreshade for the upper part of our great room window. We had installed room darkening shades in our bedroom then and really liked the salesman and their efficiency then. The West sun made the room quite hot and prevented us from sitting comfortably in the afternoon. This year we finally made the call. Brandon was our superb salesman. He helped us pick out the best shade for our great room. This was a special order that was expertly installed by Tim and Matt. We are thrilled with the quality of the work and love the difference it made in our great room. Thankyou so much! 5 Stars!

I had vertical blinds installed a few years ago. About a year after the install, one of the…read moresections of blinds stopped working. I did not call because it was a window that wasn't opened a lot. Well a friend opened the blinds, and the blinds locked and would not close. I sent an email for service. I was given a quote of $160 to come out and give a quote to fix the blinds. Well, I believed that was too much money. The company reached out to me, and the company sent a team to come out and look. The track device was broken. I was told that a new track device would be ordered. I waited 7 weeks before I contacted the company to inquire when the part would come in. I was told that there was a mistake, and the part was never ordered. So I was assured that it would be ordered that day. That was on 11/26/24. Apparently, the company does not want to fix the problem because it has been four months without resolve.

I was looking to get a quote for approximately 15 windows, and as of 2/17 I still have not received one. I've sent a few follow-up emails and haven't received any response. Unfortunately, this has been very disappointing.

I want to start out this review by saying that I have been a loyal Budget Blinds customer for over…read more14 years. I have spent thousands with them, had great results and good customer service up until recently. Over the last year and a half, I spent over $7k to replace my aging shades throughout my house. I went with all electric shades this time which are wonderful! But that's where my satisfaction with Budge Blinds ended. When I ordered my most recent set of electric blinds, I decided to add a home hub which allows me to control all of the blinds from my phone, setup scenes and timers as well as voice commands via Siri, Google or Alexa. First off, the installers had no idea how to setup the home hub. I had to figure it out on my own which took phone calls to the manufacturer of the blinds themselves and YouTube videos. After much frustration, I was able to get that working. Very nice option, but why did I have to do that? Isn't that something they should do since I paid them for it? Next, after about 2 months, one of the motors died in one of the brand new shades. Stuck open. I live in the city and the windows are large so a lot of ambient light coming in makes it difficult for me to sleep at night without window coverings. Of course I called Budget Blinds the next business day. It was explained to me that this sort of thing happens from time to time and was assured they would get a replacement motor within a week or two. After about 2 weeks, I sent emails and text messages to the people I had been working with for an update. After 2 days, no response. I finally called the office. The folks there had no idea on a status. Now I'm getting angry. Finally, the next day I get a response that says that the manufacturer didn't have any extra motors on hand and that it could take awhile. Of course I'm very unhappy at this point and felt helpless. All of a sudden, a day or two later I get an email that they remade the shade (they had a motor for that? Why not just use the motor from that one?) They dropped off the shade at my condo and said that I needed to install it myself. They said it probably wouldn't line up right with the other two shades and their advice was to swap the motors between the two shades myself. Their reason not doing this for me and honoring our contract and warranty? They didn't like my tone with the staff when I called them for an update. They further went on to say they were refusing any service or communication with me going forward. Is this how you treat a loyal customer that has spent probably around $13k with your company over the last decade or so and recommended you to your friends and family? Give me a break snowflakes. If you can't deal with rightfully angry customers, then you probably shouldn't have a job that deals with customers. Customers have every right to get upset when you're not answering them timely and not standing behind the assurances you made for something I have already paid (a lot) for. Could I have been nicer? I suppose, but my patience at this point was worn thin and perhaps lack of sleep also had something to do with my mood? At any rate, get over it. I paid you for a service and you're not holding up your end of the deal. Enough said. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? I know things happen and I was understanding at first, but I expect timely responses for things like this. I don't know if it is like this at all of the Budget Blinds franchises, but when this one changed hands a year or 2 ago from Steve Spieker and his wife, things went downhill. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I really don't think their prices are any cheaper than anywhere else. I hear that Bazaar Home Decorating does a great job.
