My closet Central Air Handler started generating a lot of condensate, which was streaming onto the…read morefloor. Seems the last two companies had not been cleaning the Evaporator, probably for over seven years. I rewrapped the lines (which had been seeping condensate after multiple tech repairs), cut out the intake and cleaned the Evaporator coil 4 times. It was bad due to lack of cleaning. I also installed an egg crate filter box return. After hearing 3 different opinions from 4 different HVAC techs, I called Mel. He showed up on time, listened to the saga, and checked the unit. He removed and cleaned the blower (which the last company said they could not access). He said the evap coil looked good and the inflow was fine. I love that Mel does his own work, and he does it right. He was calm, listened and knows his science. Oh, and he took care not to track up our carpet.

The secretary said $125 for the check/service call. ok. sounds great! - There was nothing wrong other than the outdoor grille moved about a half foot and Brayden straightened it out then picked a hose up and was watering the vents. He did NOT tell me anything other than 5 minutes later he says it's $210. He said it was for the cleaning. cleaning? yeah, $85 for picking up my hose, not telling me that there would be an extra charge. I paid it like a dam fool. The next day I called and asked to speak to the owner TAYLOR who did not have the courtesy to call me and ask me what happened. He did email me and SARCASTICALLY replied "thanks for the stellar review.". He never had the courtesy to call and ask what happened, if he could resolve the problem in any way. Nothing! - I was so please w Airsmith before as I used Michael and he ALWAYS told me what I needed, the costs and my okay. I'll never use them again. I don't like scammers! the owner is so unprofessional to write the email and word it the way he did. that's okay. I've got the email and I'm keeping as a reminder of what a dam fool i am.

And it didn't work. Another technician arrived on Monday and determined that the contact needed to be replaced and did so. He also helped me find and treat the ants. No problems until I received the second bill $298. 00 That's $441.00 for a $200.00 part. My major gripe is that We were charged an additional $98.00 for the second service within two days. That's just not good customer relations. Will never use this company again and will not recommend. To add insult to injury the part actually costs less than $30.00. I don't mind a business making a profit but that's a bit much.
