I could hear the motor running, but the washing bowl was not moving at all. While I knew it was a simple fix - i did not want anyone to rip me off since it was an old washer dryer. I called these guys - they said $70 minimum to have a look at it - I said ok. When they came over, I asserted that if it is simple repair I want to get it done, else I want to throw away the washer. He said, it could be minimum if it is a belt, if not it could go upto $200 for clutch repair. He opened the machine, instantly said he knows what the problem is, took 15 minutes and set it right !! And gave us clear instructions not to load the washer more than 75% since it was an old washer. Overall, I am very happy with these guys !

I called him out on not disclosing a service charge, and he responded with a sarcastic comment. In my opinion, it's not unreasonable to expect (1) disclosure of the existence of a service charge (and amount) and (2) inquiry as to the model type so as to figure out availability of parts (presumably, this was easily discoverable given that he was here for 5 minutes and made that determination).
