We started with the Ruoto di Bufalo- a good mix of fried veggies, Arancini, fried cheese and dough. All delicious except the fried dough was a bit bland and that was the biggest portion. For main, Spaghetti alla Nerano with fried Zucchini and cheese was tasty and enjoyed. Based on recommendation, also ordered pizza fritta-a monstrous calzone that is fried and filled with tasty buffalo ricotta and pork cracklings-enough for two. A Naples dish and they did it right. We finished with a couple of Macchiatos which hit the spot. Service was attentive and friendly. They have been ranked top 50 artisanal pizzerias in the world for the last 5 years. We found the restaurant online, with rave reviews for its pizza from locals. Alas, just based on reputation alone we would recommend this for Lipari's best pizza. Still, the staff assured us that with the many other items available on the menu, we would be very happy. And, they were so right. We started off with a freshly-made pasta dish, along with a rice salad. To the eyes, these two dishes looked plain and ordinary. But, to our palettes (our taste buds), we melted away in delight. Oh my gosh, how good it was. Great flavors. Fresh ingredients. And smiles on our faces. We then asked for them to make us some panini sandwiches, simply with ham (proscuitto Cotta), cheese and pomodero (tomato).
