(Closed Wed.) Walk-ins are welcomed. This is a clean salon-- neon green in color w/ approx 8 Pedicure massage chairs & 4 Maincure cubicles. (Plastic liners are used in the foot basins.) Staff is masked & there is plexiglass around the Manicure area. (Customers may choose to go maskless.) It's a full service salon that offers Manicures; Pedicures; & Waxing, as well as Nail Art. Unfortunately, @ this time the salon's wepage has expired so I'm unable to provide a full list of services & pricing. I have stopped in twice-- once w/ a scheduled appt for Christmas Eve day & the other as a weekday walk-in. On both occasions, fashionable "Michelle" handled my gel nails. I paid $58 for the initial set (white w/ sparkles-- see pic) & $38 for fill-ins (Oak Bluff-- see pic). Michelle did EXCELLENT WORK both times. She worked steadily & had an eye for detail-- overall, she definitely gave me the BEST NAILS-- shape, length, application of polish, cuticles, filing, etc. Every nail was uniform, as was the polish. (No other salon saw me walk out w/ ten uniformed nails.) Michelle wasn't warm & fuzzy (she may be shy?), but that wasn't a concern of mine-- I just wanted to walk out w/ excellent nails, which I did:) The only reason I removed half a star is due to the language barrier. I expected two polish colors on my first visit & a flower design on my thumbs on the second, yet the requests weren't received. (Thankfully, my nails nevertheless looked great:) Upon a subsequent visit (& I will return), I will ask Michelle (or any staffer I am using) to repeat my request so I know it has been received & understood. Definitely give this small salon a try. It is now my official place to go for gel nails & pedicures...

The nail salon was clean and nicely decorated. What I really liked when I first walked in is that all of the different nail colors were all organized. Meaning all the whites and beige were on one ring. And then the blues and greens were on a different ring, etc. Those who know and go through all the colors can understand why this is a huge plus. It makes choosing the nail color you want that much easier! My nails look great and the price was extremely fair. Highly recommend!

I have been coming to this salon for over 13 years. This is the first time I was ever treated…read morepoorly and this will also be the last time I ever return. I was getting a standard pedicure with gel removal from my toes. It was taking longer because there were 3-4 coats of gel that needed to be removed. While the technician Cindy was removing the gel from my toes, after about 10 minutes she became visibly frustrated and said, "I don't have time for this." I had already explained that the previous technician had applied several layers of gel, so I understood that removal was taking longer than usual. What made the comment surprising (albeit inappropriate) was that there were no other customers in the salon at the time. The salon was completely empty. I told her that I didn't feel it was ok to speak to a customer that way. Instead of addressing the situation, she got up, walked away, and said someone else would take care of me. At that point, I decided to leave. On my way out, I spoke with Holly and explained, "I've been coming here for over 10 years. It is not ok to tell a customer I don't have time for this." Her response was simply, "Sorry. Cindy has a scheduled appointment later. OK, bye." I never expected to leave a review like this after supporting this salon for so many years. It's with a heavy heart I wrote this but no one deserves to be spoken to like that.

You know, there just are few things more relaxing than putting paint on your nails and sticking your hands in small UV lamp ovens! All of my greatest joy, thanks to Melanie Woodard. One of the most wonderful and kind people I have ever met. Not to mention, by far the best nail artist. She is booked weeks in advance, and that is for a reason! The quality of the products she uses is the best you can get, the shop is ultra clean, and the cost could not be more affordable! Samantha Owens, who is the lash artist at Talk Of The Town, is the best of the best. She offers premium lash extensions (curled and straight) and charges $60 for fill-ins. I believe the initial cost for the first set is $110.00, but I will update if incorrect. These extensions last on myself for 4 weeks! Impressive, but quality and proper technique go a long way! Talk Of The Town also offers hair cutting and coloring services, waxing, facials, pedicures, skin rejuvenation among many other services. If you live in Polk County, give the salon a call for your next appointment! I guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised! Five stars for consistent high quality service, cleanliness, incredible customer service and atmosphere.
