We entered the cafe and the young woman at the counter was not friendly nor did she smile. I ordered the spicy square baked item and it was hard, cold and stale. I asked them to microwave it but it just brought forward the stale notes. I went back to the front and said I'll try another dessert. No one asked why I didn't eat the last one. I ordered another one (after asking if it was made today) and it was hard and cold as well. I left both desserts on the table. The glass cases were FULL of desserts at noon. I broke my own rule. If you go to a bakery and cases are full it's old stuff. Indeed it was. No love was there - I guess it's just a business. read more

If you're in the area, this is a must. Who doesn't want a sandwich in Sandwhich?! First off the area is so cute and picturesque located in a house looking building. There's seating inside and outsides with plenty of space. You can also walk to the other road with shops. The service was quick and friendly. This place is a must visit next time you are in Sandwich. We love spending time in Sandwich and somehow never came to Beth's for anything but takeout. We went there for breakfast on a cold December morning and it was spectacular. The food was amazing. I had a ham apple brie quiche. What an amazing meal. It was an absolute experience. The quiche was delicious and Sue had the croissant egg and sausage sandwich with cheddar. It was delicious. The service was excellent. Friendly and efficient helpful and completely engaged. Had a delightful brunch here a few weeks ago and would definitely return. It is in an old Victorian home with ample indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and they bring your food. Beth's Bakery is sporting a 4 and 1/2 star rating right now and that is about right. I will go with 5 stars not to drag them down. I had a 4 and 1/2 star on two recent visits during a vacation week in Sandwich. Beth's has plenty of seating inside and some seating outside. Every time I was it was fairly busy but the food was delivered quickly and we were able to sit down. The staff at Beth's is very friendly and nice. They may be the highlight. The food is wholesome and tasty. I had sandwiches and coffee on both my visits. There are some vegan options and lots of other choices as well. I would go back to Beth's any time. read more

This was a great stop for brunch. I had the 1/2 sandwich and soup combo. My sandwich was the BLT and the soup was the Lobster Bisque. I highly recommend the Lobster Bisque. It was creamy, hot and flavorful. The BLT was just okay. It didn't have enough bacon (only one strip) or Mayo (if any really). The lettuce was flimsy at best. But the tomato and bread were very good. We stopped here after a 6 hour road trip to Cape Cod and were not disappointed. The cafe is housed in a historic building with tons of seating and AC. Their Bakery selection is gigantic and there are many options for breakfast and lunch plates. We ordered a Stuffed Tomato Salad with cranberry chicken salad, an iced doughnut, and a Boardwalk panini that came with chips and a pickle. Omgosh. The cutest little coffee shop! Think antique, hygge, yesteryear. We were recently visiting Sandwich and took an evening stroll to look at the Christmas lights. We saw Beth's Bakery and fell in love with the outside. We went online to Yelp to read what people were saying and we knew we wanted to stop by! We stopped by on Christmas Eve Day for coffee and a treat. Neither of us was very hungry, but we knew we wanted to experience this charming place. I picked a blueberry muffin and my partner picked a cinnamon roll. We picked a table by the window and enjoyed our treats and coffee while enjoying the decor of the shop and watching the people going by outside.
