I'm not always the best at explaining what I'm envisioning, but Kayla was so good at understanding what I was trying to say and translating it into the most beautiful hair and makeup. She has such a talent for creating a polished, elevated look without ever making you feel overdone. I felt so beautiful and confident on my wedding day, and everything held up perfectly throughout the entire day and night. She also made the whole morning feel so fun and easy, which was exactly what I needed. After I set up my appointment and sent her a picture of my prom dress, she knew immediately what kind of makeup would work best and come out perfectly in photos. I was apprehensive at first about getting my makeup done because some of my friends' makeovers from MAC were definitely not to my tastes. I was mostly worried that the makeup would turn out too dark and heavy. But, I worried for nothing because Estela's work is simply flawless! I especially love the way she did my eyes and brows - the glitter made my eyes pop out in photos, and the brows are on fleek. While she was doing my makeup, she put me completely at ease. She's very friendly and sweet, and thanks to her, my first professionally done makeup experience was great. And since I got my makeup done in the morning, Estela gave me some powder and lips for touchups later in the day, which I definitely appreciated. I think my makeup was the best out of all my friends in my prom group, and I received many compliments for it! I'd definitely recommend Estela for anyone who wants to get their makeup done for any occasion - either for prom or just for fun :)

Disclaimer: Estela and I went to high school together and played softball those many years ago…read more I am pretty helpless when it comes to makeup. Always had to get it done for school dances and didn't buy my own (except the powder I would buy in junior high just to feel cool) until 3rd year of college when I was prepping for interviews for internships and my roommate took me to the bare escentuals at the mall. Working full-time, my makeup is super simple, and fades (I gradually stop wearing it because when you're a CPA and working long hours, you stop caring). But I needed my makeup done for a photo session for my Save the Dates, and having seen Estela's work on facebook, I got to learn how professional she is. Her work station is clean, organized, sanitized and expansive. I'm Asian so I don't have the double eye lid fold, so that's always a test for makeup artists since many times its not what they are used to. But Estela did a great job. My always critical mom thought it was too dramatic but you have to for a camera. At the end of the day, I did think my eyebrows were a little darker than I anticipated but if I had known what I wanted, Estela would have been able to adjust/accommodate my eyebrows for me. But I thought I looked good in her chair, so that's on me IMHO. I would definitely recommend her even if I didn't know her from high school.

The morning of the wedding had some unanticipated scheduling delays and changes, but Valerie graciously accommodated us. Throughout the whole experience, she made us laugh and feel so at ease. I mean this wholeheartedly as my friend's MoH, I couldn't have gotten through that morning/afternoon without Valerie's kindness, unrelenting patience, and humor. Trust me when I say this woman's got an A-game because boy, did that makeup stay on throughout the tears at that wedding ceremony. I highly recommend Valerie's services and am so indebted to her for all that she did for my friend, the beautiful bride, and her mom. She has such a wide exposure and experience of working with different skin tones, complexions, and textures. You're the best! Thank you again so much!

The salon was easy to communicate with (call/email/text), and they sent someone (Valerie) right to my hotel room to do my hair & makeup. She was friendly, professional, timely, and did AMAZING work. I really cannot say enough about this service; book them, you will save time and you will be thrilled with the results!! Really, really great work, thank you!

She exceeded all of our expectations, and kept us looking natural and the best versions of ourselves :) She took all of our preferences and also guided us to step out of our comfort zone a little, since it's best a have a little more makeup than usual so you don't wash out in pictures. Many professional stylists have tried to curl my hair using a variety of products and a colorful array of different devices. Few have succeeded, and several have given up. Ashley just looked at my Pinterest board, did some work, and WOW. My hair looked amazing, and she also showed me two distinct and equally glamorous looks for my wedding makeup. Ashley is not only extremely skilled, but she a wonderful person as well. On my wedding day, she sensed that I was nervous and immediately got one of my bridesmaids to feed me a drink. She even had a bag of straws so that we wouldn't ruin our lipstick. A lot of planning, and a ton of both insight and foresight. Ashley comes prepared, but she also genuinely cares. I still looked like and felt like ME, but with dangerous, smoky eyes. I was like Katniss in "Catching Fire," smoldering and fierce aboard her chariot in the Capitol. Like I said, Ashley's a miracle-worker. Before the wedding, I'd completely dropped the ball on getting her details on when we were to meet at the venue, so she ended up there way too early. I kept apologizing profusely and she repeatedly said it's OK and offered to help where we she could. Woman made an Office Depot run for us! God, I love her! To whom it may concern,…read more I just wanted to share about my experience working with Des. First of all, I met Des about 12 years ago when she agreed to do my make up and hair TFP for a photo shoot with a photographer we both knew. I had had my make up professionally done several times before and it was fun, but I never really felt like they got what I was looking for and was left feeling like I'd rather have just done it myself. But OMG when I looked in the mirror after Des worked her magic on me I had never felt more beautiful in my life, and the confidence I had came shining through in those photos. Fast forward 12 years and I never forgot that feeling. Honestly, one of the first thoughts I had after my boyfriend proposed to me was "I wonder if Des still does hair and make up because I want to feel like that on my wedding day". I reached out to her and she instantly remembered who I was and it felt like no time at all had passed between us. Not only is Des is the absolute best at what she does, she is one of the sweetest and most thoughtful people I have met. All of our communication up to the wedding day felt like we were old friends and l truly felt like she was invested in doing everything in her power to give me that feeling and help make my wedding day as perfect as possible. I decided to do a make up preview so we could nail down the look and I would have one less thing to potentially be stressed about on the big day. I had some thoughts on the look which she was eager to hear, she took them and just ran with them like a true professional, completely exceeding my expectations. I felt like we both had so much fun with the whole process. I left feeling like a weight had been lifted off me knowing even if everything else fell apart, at least I was going to look gorgeous on my wedding day! When the day came, Des showed up early and I felt her excitement for me. This isn't just a job to her, her heart is truly in providing an elevated, unique experience giving her bride the royal treatment. She made me feel like an absolute queen. We had some last min changes, both my mom and my future mother in law decided they wanted make up done, and Des had allowed enough buffer time to be able to accommodate them easily without compromising my experience. The whole process was so much more than I realized it would be. It was a full spa treatment, massage, skincare, even deep hand moisturizer, topped with the most gorgeous hair and make up done in such a fun, intentional way. Des has the gift of being able to make it feel like we were just two bff's getting ready for a fun night out, while still being the absolute solid professional I needed to keep me cool and relaxed preparing for the biggest event of my life. When I stepped out of that chair I felt like the most confident, beautiful woman in the world and I am literally tearing up as I write this recalling the feelings I had in that moment. Everything went perfectly that day, and boy did I have some strong emotions during those speeches. My make up and hair held up like Stonehenge and the only thing I ever touched up was my lips. I have already referred Des to my next two girlfriends who are getting married. I hope anyone who is considering booking with her will lock it in because she is an absolute master of her craft, and every woman deserves to feel that feeling especially on the biggest day of her life! I could go on and on about all the wonderful, individually tailored details she provided for my experience and about what I saw of Des' character as a person, but I'm probably already out of room on this review. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me, I'd be happy to answer them. Just know if you decide to book Des for your wedding, you will be so grateful you did!! Sincerely, The newly minted- Mrs. Kendra Miller
