Having never sold a home, I was more than nervous about the process. Before hiring Jennifer Shahry…read moreto represent me I reached out to several other agents. Many seemed good, however Jennifer answered my questions in detail, even providing some advice that I hadn't asked for. Not only that, she helped alleviate stress and worked with me on some big concerns before I had even signed a contract. The entire Gene Arant team was great. This was a bit of a concern for me at first, I was thinking I wanted an agent who worked on their own. I am glad I decided not to go that route. Jennifer was in frequent contact with me, however, so were others. Cody Wickham checked in with me often. He actually left a message once just asking how I was feeling about the entire process. A few times I asked a question and Jennifer or Cody would answer, but then say, let me also ask so and so, just to get more info. That was the power of working with them. Something else I appreciated, they were direct. I don't do well with reading between the lines, I find real estate confusing. Thankfully I didn't have to. Jennifer was always supportive, she was good about pointing out other options but never pushy. A few times I didn't take her advice, she was 100% supportive of each decision I made. Both Cody and Jennifer were relentlessly helpful throughout the process. Selling a home was still stressful, but thankfully I had awesome people to guide me every step of the way.

Craig is the absolutely best! We are so lucky to have found him through the Dave Ramsey ELP program…read morewhen we did. Our goal was to find a realtor that understood how important it was for us to become 100% debt-free (not even a mortgage) but we got more than we expected. Craig has EXTENSIVE knowledge in the industry, has a very peaceful/calm presence, and has all the patience in the world to. I know this because we had a ton of questions and Craig always answered them so eloquently. In late 2020, we sold our home in California and had enough money to buy a 2 year old home with all CASH in Georgetown, TX!!! Craig literally went to go see the house on Black Friday, put the offer in that weekend and our offer was accepted in Monday night. We closed in record time. Now that we're settled into our new place we're hearing how difficult it is to buy or rent a house in the Northern Austin area and are SO thankful that we bought when we did. Thank you Craig!! And thank you for continuing to answer my random texts about our new house.

What I love about Craig is his patience. Home buyers can be a crazy, fickle bunch - always changing…read moretheir minds at the last minute - but Craig just listens and writes down what you want ( or don't want) and makes adjustments accordingly. He knows the Austin and surrounding areas like the back of his hand and always seemed to have another option up his sleeve. During the purchase of my home he asked the builder all the right questions ( and several I never would have thought of). He's very knowledgeable of the local tax rates and advises you on what your long term costs could be - not just what today's purchase price will be. Buying a home can be a highly stressful and emotional experience. I read a review that Craig could be " curt" or " prickly" which simply isn't true. His demeanor is one of calmness and focused LISTENING. He takes the emotion out of the equation so you can make an INTELLIGENT, rational decision - which in my book is way more important than someone stroking my ego or protecting my feelings. Buying a home is the single most expensive purchase most people will do in their lives - and I need someone who will keep me grounded and realistic about this huge purchase. Craig is that person. Working with Craig was, by far, my easiest home-buying experience and I HIGHLY recommend him!
