The cruise narrator knew tons of intricate details about the history and places we passed, especially about Cumberland Island. He explained the history of the horses on the island: their origin, breeding and band habits. He gave lots of detail about the Carnegie's and the incredible mansions on the island. He also answered lots of questions from the cruise participants. He was engaging making jokes and quips throughout the cruise. Clearly he has not just done this many times, but has studied and visited the area's history.

The bath towels and sheets were obviously washed in a very fragrant detergent. Some folks, myself included, are allergic to fragranced linens. 3. The blinds at the entrance door do not close tightly and leave a pretty good sized gap between each blind. With the bathroom sink close to the door, I felt very uncomfortable. 4. There is a light beside the "back porch" door and no way to cut it off for sleeping at night. 5. Lastly, there is a man that sits downstairs and smokes cigars all day long. His smoke is so strong and consumes the air to the point that sitting on the "front porch" is not a viable option. Such a shame because it would be a nice place to sit and watch folks and listen to the local music. And before anyone asks, no I did not contact the office about the tub, blinds, or the porch light because who wants maintenance in and out of your room while on vacation.

Every time we go to a city with one of these trolley tours, we always take them. It's a historical trip guided by knowledgeable, polite, and friendly drivers. You get to hear from local experts about the history of the city as you drive around, saving yourself the long, hot walks. The hop-on hop-off feature is very convenient, and a trolley comes around every 15 minutes. This gives you time to get off, look around, and have only a short wait to jump on another one.
