Drawer would not stay shut

First off, everyone that worked at this hotel was very nice. But, the hotel was extremely dirty. Hair on the walls. Drawer next to the bed would it stay closed.

RUN! Tiny, Dirty, Bites. Prison meets Best Western. Run down! Small, Dirty, Bugs, Bites, leaking, holes, Broken Down. May 2024 we planned to stay the weekend with our baseball team, we booked Friday and Saturday, ended up arriving at around 3:30AM Saturday morning. We were dead tired, walked in the room and noticed how TINY the space was. Felt like a scared straight jail cell tour. With not many options we figured oh well it's late we are tired let's knock out. We woke up early the next morning to play our games, we were one of 2 families who had a Friday check in and our family plus the other family noticed we were both complaining of itchiness and bites (didn't think anything of it at the time). We played we ate and we all made it back to the hotel as a team at around 8:30pm finally. This was our first time really paying attention to the room condition in detail. We pulled back the covers to notice a spider crawling in the bed, the restroom was so tight in space that they had to carve out a chuck of the door just so the door would be able to close AROUND the toilet (not making this up). Fixtures such as the shower spout and door handle was coming off separated from the wall. Noticed there was what we assume to be pee all over the wall left by previous guests. Other teammates families had similar issues and they let the front desk person know what they experienced and the front desk person said "if yall don't like it yall can leave". No apology no nothing! She complained about everyone letting her know about these conditions in front of other guests that were coming in and some that were checking in. She said lobby is closed go to your room or leave, all families promptly checked out of the hotel and moved to another hotel right after this. On top of this as we were packing to leave my kids hair was wet so we turned on the blow dryer to dry it and the blow dryer was heavily smoking and about to catch on fire!!!! As we were heading out I stopped in the common area restroom only to find it leaking from the ceiling and the ground flooded!! Pics and video of all of this will be attached. Horrible stay horrible customer service. We stay as MAAAANY hotels as a travel baseball team all around Texas, frequently in Houston and also around other states. This is the absolute worst experience in all our years. How this hotel is tied to any major brand is beyond me. If i had paid $50-60 a night i would be think "ok you get what you pay for" but even those places wouldn't be THIS BAD! Our rate was $120+ a night which is on par with way nicer hotels we have stayed at specifically in the NASA Webster area but hey were all booked for tema blocks so we didn't have many choices when booking ahead. Run run run, save yourself the agony and disappointment.

The pricing might be tempting, but not worth the savings. Stay at any of the other hotels in area. My son coined a phrase- "Worst Western." He's just 10, but was pointing out all the problems with the room. Brown stains on sheets. Woodwork on bathroom door rotted at bottom. Door to room had to be kicked to get it open. Checking the other reviews on Yelp, ice machines have been broken for AT LEAST 2 months. No shade around outdoor pool, it's in the blazing sun and looked like algae growing on the surfaces. Electrical outlets all too loose to hold a plug for USB chargers. On the plus side, breakfast was ok. Dirty diaper laid in parking lot all weekend just two parking spots away from front door to lobby.

Room is tiny - BUT fresh, modern, clean. Comfy bed. DirectTV with many channels. Bathroom is EXTRAtiny - literally fits the old-timey definition of Water Closet lol. *barely* enough space for the door to open/close without touching tub and toilet. 5'4 me can touch ceiling without stretching. BUT the water pressure is bangin'. YAY! Shares parking lot space with local-origins chain Lupe Tortilla (seriously, the best fajitas in. the. world.), Snooze, and Hopdoddy Burger Bar. Very close to NASA/Johnson Space Center, and Nobi. 10/10 would stay again

Why bother reviewing a Best Western outside of Houston? Because our room had the world's smallest bathroom outside of a Pygmy colony in the Congolese jungle. The door actually scraped the toilet bowl, and the shower curtain had to be bowed in order to allow a girthy guy to scrub his incidentals. Otherwise, this is a pretty standard chain motel with a pool and a waffle maker. The only reason anyone would stay here is to get quickly to the Johnson Space Center (they offer 2-for-1 discount tickets) and maybe, just maybe, get a head start on the armadillo eggs at T-Bone Tom's Steakhouse about twenty minutes away in Kemah. Otherwise you're probably on the lam with $40,000 in a suitcase, and Norman Bates surprises you in the shower in a lovely print dress and well,... At least the price is right - about $63 per night. That's all I got.

May fill up, so make your reservation early. Rooms are decorated with a NASA theme. Hotel was remodeled, and reopened in fall of 2013. It is practically a Best Western Plus now.

This hotel is under new management and was recently renovated. I enjoyed my stay here while my husband and I were looking for a place to live after relocating from NYC. Free breakfast is always a huge plus for us as it saves time and money in the morning. The people that work here were always very pleasant and gave us discounts to explore the attractions such as nasa space center. The mall is a 5 minute drive from here as well! Trust me this hotel looks better on the inside than on the outside and you will not be disappointed.

If they are going to have an outlet to plug in maybe provide more than 1 as the entire week I was there it was a battle with the others to get the spot or hope that a non ev wouldn't take the spot. Then there's the social nights mon-wed that is advertised till 7 but if you don't show up right at 5:30 and you decide to get there at 6-6:30 then you are left with scraps. I wouldn't advertise till 7 and just say starting at 5:30 till it's gone. That way people won't get upset great staff poorly and get snippy with those that were brought up in the wild. I'm not making this up 2 nights I witnessed people be rude to staff for not making enough and someone take multiple plates for later and one for now and guests getting smart with each other. I will say staff was great and always happy. At least the few I dealt with. Now the best part is they have designated dog areas to walk but don't offer bags so either the guests are slobs and leave the pets waste or it's because the bags aren't available either way they should have someone picking things up if guests aren't. This leads me to the lack of yard maintenance the grass was never cut leading to the search for the yard bombs. I stepped in twice unfortunately and then twisted my ankle due to a hidden hole from overgrown grass. Overall it was a 3.8 for me

The hotel inside and out is very clean, the suites are a nice size, they could use a little minor cosmetic repairs in bathroom but it's not horrible, bedding is very comfortable. But, the staff, cant say enough great things about them. From the front desk, to housekeeping, the food ladies to the maintenance men. Megan Veach, the General Manager, is difficult, rude, and unprofessional. Myesha, one of the Front desk Managers, gets mad if you complain and yells at you. She constantly interrupts and does not let you speak. She has a horrible attitude. Julian, another Front desk manager, is difficult as well. They honestly do not understand what good customer service looks like. They are used to ABUSING guests. Since Hilton does not own them, your complaint is a waste of time. Corporate told me that this motel is independently managed. The noise level at night can be high and they do not want to control it. They tell the guests that if you do not like it you can go to another room even if it is 11 pm, or you can leave. The rooms are not clean. There was BLACK/GREEN stuff under my kitchen SINK! If you complain to management, they will not do a thing about it and will insult you. Maria, the head housekeeper, is very rude and unprofessional. She argues with the guests. On one occasion, Alicia, another housekeeper cleaned my toilet with no gloves and then proceeded to change my bed linens! They are GROSS! The air quality in the room is not good. The location is central, but since it is located by the railroad tracks, you can hear the RAILROAD at night. The internet connection is spotty and you have to connect multiple times while working from the motel. Since pets are allowed, the entire motel has a weird smell, even the lobby. This motel was built in the 80s and it needs major renovations. There are major issues with plumbing. My SHOWER DID NOT WORK for 2 days! This is by far, the WORST experience I have ever had at a Hilton. I CANNOT RECOMMEND the Homewood Suites! There are better motels and hotels in this area that charge comparable rates and offer much better service. I went to another motel and the General Manager told me that she had heard horror stories about the Homewood Suites. I do not know how they stay in business.

Furthermore, we always appreciate the safe well lit parking and the fact it's close to target, the mall, lifetime gym, and Sam's club and Costco made it a win for our family as this is all in our bubble back home. This Fairfield Inn & Suites was so similar to the Arkansas one! Love the clean, new, crisp modern look. We picked it because of the proximity to EVERYTHING. Seriously, it is so close to everything we wanted to do. I might start this review with my main negative since it was at check-in. (Get it out of the way and move on to the wonderfulness of this hotel.)My husband booked a 3-night stay for one of our kids and I to have a little staycation here, something we have never done before. Upon arriving, the lady at the desk was very... curt... with me when I said check-in under my husband's name. She asked where he was (because he apparently never added me to the reservation, something he never thought to do since we have NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE.) Anyways, without even saying another word to me, she was shaking her head and got on the phone. I didn't even know she was CALLING HIM until she (curtly again) said, "You're not going to be able to check-in unless your husband answers the phone." So I texted him to pick up. Luckily, she was able to verify with him that I wasn't a psychopath checking in under his name. Needless to say, checking in was not pleasant and didn't sit well with me. I felt treated like a child. Sigh, ok, I vented that frustration.... Now onto more positive vibes. Like I said, the hotel is gorgeous. Our room was on the first floor not far from the lobby. When we stepped into our 3-day sanctuary, we were shocked with how HIGH the ceilings were! I would guess they were around 12ft tall! The 2 queen beds were super comfy and we slept awesome! (WARNING: The corners of the bed platform stick out a good 3 inches at the foot of the bed. This was hidden by the poofy comforter and while walking by, I hit my shin on it and went down like I was shot. MAN!!! It %#$&-ing HURT!!! Anyways, the bathroom was clean and the shower was amazing. They have built-in shampoo, conditioner and body wash which is so much nicer than the mini bottles hotels used to give out. I have to say, I don't recall hearing any other guests while in our room. Super quiet hotel. We usually bring our roku to hotels so we can watch Netflix, Hulu, etc. but luckily we didn't even need it here! The TV had Netflix on it!!! All I needed to do was scan a QR code and I was logged into our Netflix account in mere seconds! One of the reasons I like this hotel brand is for the included breakfasts. Now, I DO oh-so-much miss my beloved cinnamon rolls from Holiday Inn Express but the breakfast here is pretty good as well. They had make-your-own Belgian waffles, (2 mornings they had) scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits (one day with gravy too), our last day they had Sausage, egg and cheese croissants breakfast sandwiches (WHICH WERE SO AMAZING) along with little spinach quiches. These hot items were in addition to the usual: oatmeal, toppings bar for oatmeal including: granola, pecans, chocolate chips, Craisins, coconut flakes, etc. various cold cereals, variety of yogurt, bread for toast, English muffins, one day they had bagels, blueberry muffins and some fresh fruit (bananas, mandarins, apples). The coffee was (sigh) not good. Their normal coffee was a BOLD variety and in my humble opinion, it tasted burnt... like they brewed an ashtray. I switched to the decaf, which was a blond roast and tasted MUCH better (tho, minus the caffeine). At check-in I was told breakfast was 6-9am but it was literally still out every day well past 9. This hotel has a decent fitness room (which I didn't utilize this trip) with several cardio machines (each with individual TV screens!) and a cable weight system. (I don't recall seeing free weights but maybe they weren't visible from the door). The indoor pool was utilized by my child every. single. day... even 2x in a day, one of our days. Like another reviewer said, THE POOL IS COLD. Despite bringing my suit, I didn't go in... I don't like cold pools. My kid would jump in and be freezing for a bit and get used to it. Similarly, the pool in the Little Rock Fairfield was ice cold too. I guess I don't understand why Fairfield's indoor pools are so dang cold. It's not enjoyable. Even in the dead of summer I don't want to jump into an ice bath of a pool. No one else was ever with us in the pool so it was all to ourselves. Aside from the check-in issue, the staff overall were friendly. We even interacted with the check-in lady several additional times and she was fine. No rudeness anymore. All in all, despite the unwelcoming check-in, cold pool and ashtray coffee, we LOVED our stay. My husband wants us to do a family staycation here so he can experience it too!
