As someone relatively new to Hilton Garden Inn, I asked whether any complimentary upgrades were available. The response I received, something about water in the room, was a bit confusing and didn't clearly address the question. Later, when we left the room with recyclable bottles, I asked the same front desk staff member about recycling options. Again, the response was unclear and I was directed toward a water fountain, which didn't answer the question. I shared this experience with the general manager, Veronica, who was receptive and professional. She explained that the property does not have recycling options and said she would address this with management and use the situation as a coaching opportunity to improve staff communication and customer engagement. The room itself was fine and met expectations, with no major issues. It's also worth noting that the hotel does not have suites--only standard and accessible rooms--so upgrades should not be expected, as confirmed by the general manager. Overall, a decent stay, and I appreciate management's willingness to listen and improve. Hopefully, communication will be smoother on future visits.

The room was very nice, comfortable, and cozy, and the bathroom lighting was warm and pleasant. However, there are two things that could definitely be improved. First, the conditioner in the bathroom seemed spoiled -- it looked like decomposed milk, so we could not use it. Second, breakfast was not included, and when I asked the night before about the breakfast hours, we were told it was served until 11:00 AM. The next morning, however, we were told the schedule had changed, even though the paper with the hotel information had not been updated. At 10:50 AM, they told us that if we wanted, we could pay for lunch instead. Honestly, I thought it was a joke.

I closed the blinds, turned off all my cell phone alarms and nestled into the high quality sheets and BAM! what the? Woke up to the sounds of two dogs barking. Wait this is a dream. No. is that in the room next to me? That's right you got it, I am sleeping in a dog friendly hotel. Good news is Rover can stay the night, but if you plan on sleeping in, maybe even just a wink, don't plan on it. You may be staying in a room next to Cujo and his brother. Omg no way. Ok, so I call downstairs to mention the dog barking. But. It continues. I decide to just get out. I mean, check out. So I spoke to the manager who is pleasant, but I'm in such a bad mood I Didn't even want to get breakfast. Definitely first world problem, but I strongly suggested that if a hotel guest is going to be placed to room next to a guest with dog said guest should be forewarned, at least. There was not even a sign that this dog friendly hotel. No dog treats in the lobby no nothing. Just the sound of two rabid sounding dogs. The Hyatt grounds are nice. It is in Baytown after all. If you your best friend is barking for Pete's sake , take them on a walk. They have pent up energy, unlike their owners do, for allowing them to bark as if their lives depended on it. On my trip to the Baytown area, I chose this hotel as it was a newer hotel and the price was comparable to other similar hotels in the area. The rooms at Home2 Suites are large and roomy and come with all the amenities you need for one or more nights. The rooms have a kitchenette, plenty of space for your bags, enough room for a Yoga mat, large and comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. I also chose this hotel for the gym as it has modern gym equipment and a variety of equipment. The lobby is large and bright and has many areas to work and play for large groups and individuals. The Breakfast has many options incl, including hot and cold food and a selection of fresh fruits. Overall a very good, affordable hotel in the Baytown area.

It's been our experience that hotels don't really want you to take their room towels down to the pool and typically offer pool towels. She was told that if she stole the towels, they would be $50 each. And then she was reminded that if she stole the towels, they would be $50 apiece or $200 for the 4 she requested. At one point, she heard one of the female staff members very loudly berating one of the male staff members in the office area. They never once went to the front desk when they were greeted by friendly staff with a smile. As a matter of fact, no one was ever at the front desk to greet them, not one time, for anything they needed. The wait staff for breakfast were very nice and the food was good. Won't be back. Houston has plenty of other options.

I had wanted us to sleep in til 8:30 since we hadn't gotten in til after midnight ourselves and in bed by 1:45 am. The free breakfast and coffee was nice, albeit a little small on the array of food choices. But fresh fruit, a variety of small muffins, mini sausage sandwiches and hot oatmeal options were all available. And both staff members we interacted with were pleasant and cordial. ***TIP for a 5 star stay next time: Arrange for a top floor King mini suite. It would have been a perfect stay had we been on the 3rd floor.

There is a full sized refrigerator, cook top, dishwasher, garbage disposal, pool, and free laundry! While there are no ice machines, the refrigerator in your room has an ice maker!!!! There are a couple of outdoor gas grills with seating areas and an outdoor pool. We have decided that this is our go to hotel from now on! All of the front desk people were cheery and courteous especially Cel Osorio! She was fantastic. Can't wait to come back.

That award for shittiest Holiday Inn still goes to Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pensacola West-Navy Base 307 N New Warrington Rd, Pensacola, FL 32506. That by far is THE WORST location ever. Next trip there I may try the other location I mentioned above and see who is better but aside from the elevator, its a good HI Express.
