Where to start... My wife, child, and I stayed here for one night and were extremely disappointed, especially considering the price we paid. After settling into our room, we went out to grab dinner. When we returned, we asked the front desk for paper plates and cutlery. They directed us to the hotel restaurant, where we stood for about 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Frustrated, we gave up and returned to the room. When I sat on the edge of the bed to eat, the box spring snapped and I fell to the floor. The bed frames are too small to properly support the mattress. We were moved to a new room, but the experience didn't improve much. In the new room, the bathtub had hair all over it -- absolutely disgusting. Later, we took our child to the pool, only to find it littered with used towels and even a band-aid on the floor. When we asked the front desk for fresh pool towels, we were told they didn't have any left and that a manager had been called. At that point, I couldn't help but wonder where the cleaning or maintenance staff were, as the area clearly needed attention. We ended up walking back to our room dripping wet. The beds were uncomfortable, making sleep difficult, and the TV barely worked -- channels kept skipping and eventually we just turned it off. To top it all off, when we checked out the next morning, the elevator smelled like someone had just vomited in it. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Overall, this was a very poor experience. We will never stay here again. Next time, we'll choose one of the nearby hotels -- even if they don't have a pool. read more

This is our 8th night on a 10 day trip across the UP. My friend and I have stayed at Hampton Inn, Quality Inn and Holiday Inn Express. This hotel has seen better days. The rooms are adequate as is the bathroom, even tho small. The upholstered chair is greasy. The appliances are just old but they work. The mattress on one of the beds sinks at least 8 inches from the foot to the head. The pool is closed indefinitely. read more

Best Western Riverfront Inn - Second bed - Hotels Near Me - Marinette, Wisconsin

A fine enough hotel for the price, with a couple of significant issues in our particular room. First off, the front desk service on check-in was great. We needed her a total of three times in the first few hours, and I wish that I had caught her name. The room was overall fine, with two specific but significant complaints. Number one: the bed was so damn noisy as to prevent a good night's sleep. Climbing in let off a holy creaking racket, and rolling over was just as bad. Even just shifting around slightly made noise. So annoying. Number two: the toilet did not flush properly. It was like that when we showed up. We didn't use it for the first time until just before bedtime, so it didn't seem worth it to get someone to come up and try to fix it. I told the front desk at check-out and they offered no apology, just an "Okay, I'll let them know." Not cool. The price was pretty good, the location was convenient, and they provide Pack 'n Plays at no additional cost. Breakfast was solid, not as good as a Hampton Inn but included: orange juice, apple juice, milk, coffee, tea, water (upon request), eggs, sausage links, some kind of weird potato bites, french toast sticks, six cold cereals, yogurt, oranges, and pastries. Other specific notes: + Interesting river views on one side of the hotel + Easy parking just steps from the front door + Free wi-fi (which I did not use) +/- Mini fridge...which was unplugged on arrival - No glasses, just plastic cups - Those annoying two-part theft-deterring hangers read more

None of the vending machines on any floor work. Front desk "help" is ZERO help with an attitude of non-caring about their job. TV does not work either with no internet connection to make any channel work. Same "help" or concern from the front desk. ONLY stay here if you want ZERO amenities. read more

The restaurant/bar here is decent. Nothing to write home about, but good. The hotel rooms are dying for an update. The conference rooms are fine, and they do a good job of catering for business meetings, conferences, etc. I've seen a couple of comedians here and had a good time. On the complete flip side, the owner of this establishment is disgusting. I had seen him out at another local establishment several times in the past. He has always given me the creeps, but I had never interacted with him directly. However, last week I had more interaction with him than I ever wish to again. He was, as I have always seen him in the past, completely wasted. He was slurring words, swaying when he stood, spitting puddles when he talked. Because we were at a bar, this didn't seem too out of place at first. Then he zeroed in on my friend. First he insulted her by racially stereotyping her. Then he began hitting on her which could have been harmless except that despite every attempt to get him to leave us alone, he persisted. He claimed he was married. I later found out this may not be true, but he claimed he was married in a complicated situation. My friend politely declined his advances explaining that as a married man his advances were in appropriate. Then we pretended to be dating and still he persisted. At one point, he told my friend, "Ya know, I own the Best Western." My friend told him that as an owner of a local business, he should be extra careful to protect his reputation. Still he persisted. As the night went on, he became physical with his advances. He was putting his hands on my friends legs and waste. Twice I had to pry his hand from her wrist. Several times, he yanked her off her bar stool toward him. At the end of the night he asked my friend if she would like "to do some crack." She asked, "You mean cocaine?" He said "yes." She declined his offer and we left. In hindsight, we should have called the police, but we did not want to cause a disturbance at the bar we were at. However, I have not been able to stop thinking about his behavior that night. I sincerely hope that he doesn't try to prey on some young girl that doesn't know how to deal with sleezy drunks who try to use their business status to impress. I, for one, will never patronize the Best Western again. read more

My stay was satisfactory, clean room and good customer service. Food at bar was average and drinks were okay. Overall, decent stay.

This is the place I stay at when I'm working here. Easy access to park, hey, and good eats around the area. They do have there own bar and grill attached. Has an indoor pool and plenty of parking. The decor is kind of up to date. The thermostats need a bit of an upgrade but doable. The staff is always nice read more

Decent room with horrible Internet. They claim to have wifi in the rooms but you have to go down to the lobby or else you won't be able to get a connection. Even in the lobby it is super slow. read more

Very disappointing stay at the BW in Marinette. We were guaranteed an early check-in, at least by noon so we could get dressed for son's wedding at 2:00pm (confirmed this at least 5 times prior to our arrival), as we were traveling from a long distance away. The young lady at the front desk had no knowledge of our request for an early check-in and wouldn't do anything to accommodate our request. My wife finally found a cleaning person to get our room ready, as young lady was not equipped to handle the job. After finally getting into the room at 1:00pm, my wife was going to take a bath but there was not stop for the tub. She inquired with the young man who was cleaning the rooms and was told they didn't have any and that she should try using a washcloth over the hole to stop the water from leaking out too quickly. Eventually (long after we were gone to the wedding) a stop appeared in our room but it didn't fit the hole in the tub. As she was bathing, there was a knock on the door. A man said that the tub was flooding the kitchen and he needed to get in right away to fix it, so my wife had to end her bath and didn't have time to wash her hair prior to our son's wedding. So much for that! Things continued to go from bad to worse. Room keys did not work because of a broken lock. Was not aware of this until evening when a babysitter was going to watch our granddaughter in our room and all 3 keys that we were given would not work. Repair man came up there to fix it...took a LONG time so the babysitter's mother stayed in our room with her as there was a strange man in the room fixing the lock. Therefore, she missed the wedding reception. Our first and last stay at the BW in Marinette!!!! Definitely do NOT stay in Room 203. I think it's jinxed!!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Management claimed that they had wheelchair accessible hotel rooms, yet none of the bathrooms inside of the rooms are.... So NO, YOU'RE NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. They also didn't inform us of this until we drove 2+ hours and checked in. Would've been helpful when we booked in months ago. Expecting a full refund from that experience. read more

Had the same terrible experience with not one room or lobby with accessible bathrooms. That's right, not one. They say they are. Not even the restaurant inside and they advertise they do. Wasted my whole vacation trying to find a hotel on a Friday night. Plus friends and family all stayed there because of them telling us over the phone they are totally accessible. Just terrible for advertising and telling us it was accessible. Very disappointed. read more

BED BUGS!! There is so much wrong with our stay that I don't know where to start. Most important is the bed bugs. I could not believe that a Best Western would have them. Unfortunately I did not find them until we were packing to leave. When I brought one that I had killed down to the desk they did not seem disturbed. When I ask about disinfecting our luggage, they came up with a can of spray for bed bugs that was half full. That tells me they know they have them. I was so appalled that I did not even mention the other issues with the room. It took the bathroom sink a half hour to drain. There was no stopper for the tub. The fan in the bathroom had no control and ran all night. The room was cold and no amount of adjustment made it comfortable. The pool was not opened as posted and was closed early. There were no locks to secure the side doors. Anyone could wander in and out of the building. There was no free buffet breakfast because there where less than 30 people registered. The restaurant was closed there was no breakfast at all Sunday morning. Apparently they had some donuts put out but, they were gone by 7:30 and there were no more. The place is just plain seedy and over priced. Find a different place to stay!! I tried to post a review on the Best Western web page for this hotel, but I could not find a link for reviews anywhere. No one should have to fight off insects for a good nights sleep. read more
