She takes great care of the cabins and always has great suggestions when you ask her about anything local from food to activities. The property is great for walks and there's some horses and donkeys to check out too. Our dogs always feel at home on the ranch. We love to ride ATV trails and Spur of the Moment has trail access. You ride from your front door to anywhere you like in the area, no trailering. On our last trip we brought a side x side and all the great trails permitted our lager machine. All of the meals we ate out we did by riding our machines to and Ann supplied us with maps so we knew where we were going. The trail system has so many local and long distant places to go to it's good for beginners as well as veterans. Last thing that we've always enjoyed is the other guests. The Ranch is not only good to ATV'ers it's VERY horse friendly. On a busy weekend you can have all types of guests and on every trip we've done it's never mattered what you're into, people are just friendly. It's flat out relaxing.

When my broccoli arrived it final time, it was an overheated mash of green; steamed broccoli should retain a small crunch and not be mashed like baby food! The manager visited my table, apologized, and removed the side dish from my bill. I do not recommend the restaurant and I will not patronize it again. The casino floor was... unimpressive. While there were many slot machines, a handful of which were new, there were only a couple of card tables both of which were staffed by miserable persons. There is no roulette. I even emailed the Event Coordinator Marie Fende and Event Manager Kayla Myers that we had been working with for the wedding over a week ago about these issues with no response from either of them. We were asked THREE days before our wedding to move where we had planned to have our reception since the resort was having a karaoke event in the bar near the reception room and they didn't want to figure out whose drinks should be free and who they needed to charge for. The chairs weren't set up for our ceremony so my husband started to do it in his tux, a bridesmaid found a staff member who said that this "wasn't his gig" and he needs to be working on the golf course (it's closed for the season) and not working on a wedding. Our cake and cupcakes were all thrown out by staff at the end of the night even though they were not asked to and they were on our personal trays we brought in. We also had two bottles of homemade moonshine in with our belongings that came up missing the next day. Staff yelled at our bridal party for my husband & I taking a golf cart that was supposed to have been left outside for us to make it easier to take pictures on their property, there was never an apology offered after they realized they were supposed to have one out for us. A bridesmaid and myself were unable to get into the space where we were having the reception the morning of and we were told by a front desk employee that housekeeping unlocks that but she had no way to contact them, but would tell them IF she saw them. Our officiant found bugs in his drink, when he told staff about it she replied with "Okay, do you want a new one or what?" Another relative, who I will admit was fairly intoxicated, walked up to the bar and said "I'll take whatever" to which the bartender responded "Oh I bet you fucking will." The 2nd bartender walked past my husband saying "I don't get paid enough for this shit." Almost all of our family members and guests told us that they had called several times leaving voicemails trying to reserve a room but no one ever called them back. One guest was told she needed to listen to the message a little bit better on when to call because it clearly states they're in the their winter hours and not always available to answer the phone, our guest was calling in early September when they were still open during regular hours. The shower nozzle in the "presidential suite" they gave us for the night didn't work, I basically had to splash myself with tub water to try to get clean. The venue is beautiful and we got a lot of amazing pictures, but to spend thousands of dollars and to be treated the way we were, I couldn't recommend anyone get married here, vacation here, or let alone eat here.

We were greeted with home made cookies and offered wide range of delicious drinks by Donna, followed by a tour of the house when Donna and Mike shared with us the history of the house, it immediately impressed my husband and I how much they love to host their guests and how much they love the place. They have VERY high standards for themselves on the experience they want their guests to have. They have everything you could ever need on a trip ready for you where/when you need it, Mike even offered me a leg pillow! The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. The next morning, our breakfast was egg ham croissants, rhubarb shortcakes and grapefruits, all sorts of beverages options, and to top it off, each of us were given a piece of freshly baked pastry for our long drive back to Chicago.
