I stay here while my mother is in a care facility near by. I must say, I have never had a hotel…read moreroom that was completely tile/no carpet, but I loved it. The bed frame was metal and elevated off the floor, and the floor had no carpeting to speak of. As someone who travels quite a bit, This made the room feel cleaner and less stale, plus it reduces the chance of bedbugs. It also means it's easier to clean, which made me feel better about staying here. The Continental breakfast was delicious and the staff at the front were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend this hotel. One point of note that you need to be aware of. This hotel is used by a lot of blue collar workers for the refineries and other places. They can get a little bit loud in the evening but often are gone for work very early in the morning but often are gone for work very early in the morning. This didn't bother me at all, but if it bothers you, you might ask to stay away from that room block.

Lobby breakfast is surprisingly good, though: eggs, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, toast/waffle station, cereal, coffee and juice. Get there early; we were up at 8 and the eggs were almost gone anyway.

(From June-July, 2023)…read more A very modern marriott staple that I'm pleased in in an area like Port Arthur. I did an assignment for a couple weeks from June-July in the Bridge City area and decided on staying at this place. I'm glad I did as this is one of the best hotel options in the area; and also one of the better marriott hotels I've stayed at anywhere. How so? Well, newly constructed hotels will have more updated features including new breakfast items, modern online connectivity, interior designs, and bathroom toiletry items. Obviously this place has all those. Plus it's probably the cleanest hotel I've set foot in for quite sometime based on my travel experiences and hotel lodgings. The room had plenty of space with a stocked kitchenette, a lounge sectional w/ computer prop, and desk area. Customer service and staff are on point with attentiveness and handling areas of need. No doubt this is a must-stay if you're in Port Arthur or the Bridge City area.

Came for an adventure, stayed in luxury!…read more I didn't quite know what this place was when I walked in, I was just in town on an adventure, visiting friends from this area where I grew up. A good friend of mine who used to work for Marriott says "All hotels are running on a skeleton crew with people who hate themselves and are a second away from disaster, but if you want a clean room, you can't do better." Check-in was done by a good-humored, handsome redhead. When I walked into my room, I was pleasantly surprised by the size, layout, and amenities of the room. The wifi was unsecured, but that's why you should always bring your own VPN. I adventure around town, visiting friends and catching up on decades of life, coming back to my comfy room at the end of the day. I wouldn't really try the hot food at breakfast (about 7:30am), but I am looking forward to sleeping one more night on this ginormous bed. Really liked the fact that the staff takes care of some cats outside. I'm a big cat person, so this warmed my heart.

I stayed here from Thursday to Saturday morning. This overall has been frustrating. There was a…read moresmall bug in my room first night. The person at the counter was rude and unfriendly. Wouldn't even say hello or respond to a simple greeting. When I came back after being gone all day I stopped at the counter for toilet paper and towels so no one would have to come up nor have to go to room on 3rd floor then come back down. I was told I had to go up, get any used towels, bring them back down, wait in line, then I could get new towels. That's is stupid and horrible customer service. I was trying to make it easy but this is insane. You want the dirty towels then send someone up to get them. I did it once. I can't see me staying here again, then I had to put them in a bag given to me. There is a sign in the room to call down for anything you need. I didn't try but do not believe that to be true. Some minor things, the channel list is partly incorrect, the TV sometimes goes pixelated. Really the bed is okay. Breakfast is better then similar places. The employees I and my family spoke to were unhelpful and rude. When my other family members were getting ready for noon check out the cleaning crew hung out around the rooms and even went into my sister's room three times even after being told not to. Truly disappointed in this as i have had some good experiences with holiday Inn. There are a ton of hotels in this same few block radius You have options. Choose a better one.

This hotel provided us shelter for up to a week when we had to evacuate for Hurricane Ida. And it…read morewas great. It is conveniently located near literally all the food options you can think of as well as gas stations, convenience stores, and a few shopping centers. Given that this was simply a place for us to evacuate and not necessarily vacation, it was a perfect spot for what we needed. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 is a few reasons that are easy fixes: 1. Our room key would deactivate literally every day, sometimes multiple times in a day. My guess is it probably was our room door than our keys at this point but having to go to the front desk every day for new keys got annoying; 2. Because of construction, a decent portion of parking spots were unavailable so if you went out at night, you'd risk coming back to the hotel after 7pm to no parking spots. The staff was usually very nice to find guests makeshift parking spots, and I'm sure they may not be used to that full a hotel due to all the other evacuees who were staying in the hotel, but stressing about being back to the hotel at a certain time so you'd have a parking spot for the night was also annoying; 3. And finally, our room's AC got extremely loud at night. I'm thinking this is just something with the specific AC we had because the AC in our suite's living room was fine noise wise as was the AC in my parents room, but ours sounded like it was a generator once nighttime hit. It made for a few annoying nights of sleep. But again, these are all things that are easy fixes. Once renovations are done, I'm sure all of these issues will be fixed. Though noisy, the AC blew really well. The refrigerator was huge and the microwave and kitchen area was great. Housekeeping staff were adorable. The front desk staff was always super nice too. Very personable. I do not know if we'd ever need to be in Port Arthur again, but if we do, I would certainly return to this hotel...just give me a quieter AC next time haha.

Construction is taking place on the lobby level but other than that everything is pretty much brand new. This place is pet friendly and the rooms have wood/laminate making accidents or spills easy to clean up. The only reason I'm not leaving 5 stars -- my room keys demagnetized if you looked at them wrong. I kept it away form my phone and other tech, and after a day it would just stop working. And the weekend housekeeping staff or whoever does breakfast service was not great, I got down there for 8:50 and nothing was hot, not even warm, ice cold. Honestly it was one day so I'm not even that upset about it but that would of made me leave 5 instead of 4.
