This is a Great place to stay. Almost everywhere else in Vail and Beaver Creek are triple the price. Eagle Lodge is only 20-30 min from Both resorts but gives you an affordable option to enjoy the area. The staff here is amazing and the breakfast is fantastic! Don't fall for the LivingSocial deal "Stay in the Rockies." It's basically a Best Western that's been converted. Our fridge didn't work and we were actually 45 minutes away from spending a weekend "skiing in Vail." Not the most accurate depiction of a "lodge" since we stayed in a 2-story hotel room. This was a great place, and very reasonably priced for this area. The entry was large with a cozy fireplace and an antler chandelier. The room was also very large with two queen beds, a pull-out sofa, and a kitchenette; spacious for a group of four. The bedding was soft and comfortable as well. Matt was very helpful and got us a room immediately when we needed to pull off the road, which was closing due to snow. Clean, safe, and comfortable, I'm glad we stayed at the Eagle Lodge. read more

For an affordable weekend hotel that's in the area for Beaver Creek and Vail this is as good as it gets! Brand new facility, super clean, and an amazing staff. I'll definitely be staying here again. The breakfast was good, our room was very clean and the staff was more than willing to bring us extra pillows. If you're looking for a vacation spot in the mountains this might not be for you but if you just need a place to stay while you're in town skiing this is perfect. read more

Terrible. Where should I begin. let me say that is 1am and I'm wide awake because my room is probably only 63° it is so cold I'm wearing a hoodie and I am using the blankets from both beds. It's a good thing my phone has a flashlight on it so I could use it to see in the dark corner where there is no light to turn on. So I could read the knob on the tiny, tiny little heater that they conveniently placed under the window far far away from the beds. The front desk girl was annoyed she had customers with questions. Apparently we interrupted her Facebook time. She completely ignored my very important questions I had when deciding if my boss and I were going to share a suite with 2 seperate sleeping quarters or get 2 seperate rooms all together. One of those questions was do the sleeping quarters have doors? Will we each have privacy? Ignoring the 1st question she said 2 beds were upstairs. NOPE NO DOOR! Just me and my boss who is 30 years my senior and a male . So awkward but too late. I couldn't say anything I'm not paying. So I will spend the weekend feeling like an extremely uncomfortable house guest. Tiptoing around like a little mouse so I don't wake him up. Can't leave the room, or grab something to eat nope. Just awful. By the way if she gave a rats about her job she should have up-sold us to paying for 2 completely separate rooms. The company would have made more money and she would have 2 happish guests because this hotel is still freezing. read more

We got in super late but the staff was helpful, rooms were great, and the continental breakfast was fully stocked with many options. The cleaning crew was super sweet and cleaned up for us. Great place for a last minute hotel. only problem is we had cash and they required a credit card. read more

This place is a hellhole. I paid $164 a night, could have been $44 a night and still not worth it. The room we were given initially had standing water in the carpet in the room it smelled like a feedlot. There was urine in the bathroom and the fan in the room didn't work. It wasn't until I threatened to checkout until we were given another room. If the health department came they would have condemned the room. Stay away. read more

Its a roof over my head and a warm bed to sleep in for a good price so all-in-all not a horrible place to sleep for the night. It was clean, and smelled clean, in the rooms and in the hallways. The two things I didnt like about the specific room I stayed in were that the door seemed to be coming off the hinges so there was a big crack at the bottom where you could actually see out to the hallway carpeting, which by the way made it extra loud when people walked by, AND the walls seem to be really thin because the tv in the room next to ours didnt sound like it was overly loud but I could hear it well regardless; well enough to where I could occasionally hear specific words. The t.v. went off at bedtime and I'm not an overly light sleeper so it worked out ok. Price was good and beds were comfy. read more

I stayed here after my car broke down and I lost my phone. The manager Amy was very sympathetic and helpful. Doug the groundskeeper even drove me to my car to retrieve my stuff. Stopped here after driving from Vegas, Jason was very helpful. They are pet friendly which was a plus. Beds were very comfortable they have 2 different kinds of pillows the front pillows are soft and the back pillows are hard. Rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are pretty decent size to. This place needs a serious update! I half expected to find bedbugs and some weird guy lurking in my room. When we checked in there was a full size refrigerator sitting right in the middle of the room. The bed was broken down and TV was at some strange angle to the whole room. Heck I not even sure the sheets we changed. I do not recommend this place to anyone; well I suppose if it were cheaper a group of college kids might find it okay. Although the bed wasn't as comfortable as most Best Western Plus's, everything else was pretty good. We stayed in a room a couple doors down from the elevator, but the noise wasn't bad. The room was pretty clean, except for one stain on the blanket, but the staff apologized for it and said that they would make sure it was taken care of. The breakfast was pretty good and the wifi worked for me. It was easy to locate at night, despite the traffic circle. ;-) The most interesting part of my room is they labeled which pillows were soft and which were firm, which I liked. read more

The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. However, the walls are extremely thin. We were constantly hearing noise from other rooms, from a child running for hours on end in the room above us to a dog barking across the hall. Noise interfered with our sleep all three nights we stayed. The pillows were also uncomfortable (very hard and high), so bring your own! read more

Faulty door lock kept out us of room until 11:00 PM, slow draining bathroom sink, and false fire alarms resulted in this negative review primarily since the remuneration was a Best Western $40 give card. This is a really convenient way to do a ski weekend at Beaver Creek for a totally reasonable price. In all, the drive back to the ski area is about 25 minutes. The hotel was clean - most importantly - has an indoor pool/spa and free breakfast. You're not getting any frills, but you're not paying for them either (although the bed was surprisingly really comfortable). read more

I was told at check in there was not a single room left for me even though I made a reservation on Best Western's website, I received a email confirmation with a reservation confirmation number, and I also received an email the day before my stay saying they look forward to seeing me. The front desk person at check in informed me that they overbooked and that I was on a waiting list for a room. I was never informed prior to check in that I was on a waiting list! Again, I received an email the day before confirming my stay!! How is it possible with today's technology that a hotel overbooks? Or if it does, why did I not receive an automated email like the confirmation emails prior, or a courtesy phone call to let me know that I was on a wait list? If you're like me and like some reliability (that's why you make reservations) DO NOT BOOK WITH BEST WESTERN! I made reservations and received multiple confirmation emails, I took time off work and I drove 2 hours to be told they did not have a room for me. I scrambled to find another hotel, I paid a higher price but the most upsetting is it caused me to be late to the event I specifically came for. At this point I will never recommend Best Western because it is unreliable and they simply did not care. TRAVELERS BEWARE!! read more

Overall I was not impressed with this hotel. First off, we could not get a handicap accessible room. The room we did get was at least 80 degrees when we walked in. The room had two double beds and could accommodate up to four people apparently. However, the bathroom only came stocked with one towel. One towel to four people? It's ridiculous the room was not better prepared to accommodate more people, as it should have. As a traveler who was looking for a place to sleep, the last thing I want to do is have to go right back to the lobby again. So after I had to ask for more towels my room key would not work any longer. Once again I had to go back down to the lobby and have my key fixed. I was pretty irritated by this point. Then to top it all off one of the towels had previous stains on it. I would not recommend this place over one of the other available hotels in the small town. It seems to be not very well maintained and a little dirty. They are undergoing a renovation in the next year though, that may improve some issues. Only positive is its one of the cheapest in the area. read more

The rooms are cold and creepy. The wifi doesn't work and the hotel staff members are wastes of space. If you got a flat on I-70, you would be better off staying in your car. Unless you needed a swim diaper they have for sale at the front desk. The entire building also smells like chlorine, which I guess explains the diapers. As others have said, the groupon is horribly misleading. This is at least 30 minutes away from Vail. You can stay at Vail Cascade Resort, or Hotel Colorado in Glenwood for the same price. The walls are thin and the heater is loud and doesn't work well. We have 2 nights booked here and are leaving early tomorrow, forfeiting our already paid for room, to stay elsewhere this place is that depressing. read more
