But motel staff was kind enough to leave our assigned room key in a coded lock box so we were able to get into our room. THE ROOM The room was meticulously decorated. There are personal touches here and there (see submitted pictures) which I think will make any guest feel so much at home. We had a king sized bed, a small dining/sitting area, and a meal prep nook where you can make coffee, heat in a microwave your meal, and a mini refrigerator to keep you perishables cool. Beside the king bed were two side tables and one of them had a flashlight, which I think was thoughtful because a guest will not be groping in the dark should there is a power outage. Both sides of the bed had access to an electrical socket so one can charge their phone while they sleep. And we appreciate the black-out curtains and shade! THE BATHROOM I appreciate that everything was provided. I just got to say, they do not give the cheap stuff. Even the toilet paper is not your paper-thin kind but the thicker, softier ones every family uses at home. I think it is clever to provider a black face towel to use when washing off one's makeup. Likewise, a black hand towel was provided for any kind of spill. Bathroom also had a box of facial tissue. Bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths are all soft, fluffy and white. THE BREAKFAST Their continental breakfas is good. Though they do notserve the hot kind of breakfas of cooked oatmeal, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, or sausages, what was served is equally filling. They have a good variety of cereals in a cup, bread, mini muffins, pancake, egg-vegetable fritata, sausage sliders, fruits, and coffee. The dinning area is likewise nicely put together with yellow tablecloths, decorations, and honey-bee inspired coasters. THE STAFF & THE BEE'S KNEES They are friendly, accommodating, and attentive to our needs. We missed the order cut-off time for The Bees Knees (9pm) so we only saw the inside but wasn't able to try their famous burger. The place looks cozy and staff are friendly as well. VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY For the price we paid, this is a good motel. We had a great experience staying. Some of the reviews complain about the AC, which, yes, it is noisy. But if you are like me, it doesn't bother me as when I am asleep, I am totally gone. Some reviews also complain about the road noise, which, yes, there is because the motel is right smack on a busy street. But that being said, you are on easy access to everything from the motel. Again, doesn't bother me. For the price we paid, you will not find another comparable place to stay. You can have something better but at a cost. The beds were full size, so a bit smaller than what I'm used to, but that's ok. I'm not sure why they fold the pillows into tiny squares- that was odd, so I'm taking away one star for the uncomfortable pillows and bed. The shower was good with a nice pressure. There were plenty of towels and washcloths. The breakfast was good- they had bananas, so that's important. :) They had grab bags of breakfast as well on the way out. However, the first thing I noticed about this motel 6 is the fact that all doors were inside access! Also, it is located behind the Burger King, off the main road. In fact, the entrance is through the Burger King parking lot, at the very back. Very quiet and secluded, yet within walking distance to several minimart stores and restaurants. Within an hour of 2 airports, under 2-3 hours to many tourist destinations! Others wrote that they heard traffic noise, but I never heard any type of traffic noise at all! Just very serene, quiet and safe-feeling! My favorite thing about this hotel is how clean it is! I've stayed in every type of 1star-5star hotel/motel in several different states, but have NEVER stayed at a cleaner hotel! I am on the verge of what one might call a germaphobe, yet I felt comfortable enough to walk on the floor in my bare feet! Beds and pillows were so comfortable and cozy! Air conditioner and heat system worked quite well. Entire staff was more than accommodating to any request I had! Very friendly and helpful! Additionally, the baby was late and still hadn't arrived by the day I was supposed to check out. A campground host makes daily multiple rounds throughout the area in a SxS, insuring order is maintained and is happy to welcome all. Setting right on the lake, they offer kayaks and pedal boats for their customers as well as a sandy beach for the kids. The little store stocks simple amenities such as ice, firewood, ice cream, t-shirts, and some basic camping supplies. Overall a very pleasant experience whenever staying here.
