Of course, I started with the big box stores to nail down what would be a ridiculous price. Coming up short on so many other potential contractors, I mistakenly searched the web using this company's name--thinking it was another that I had been in contact with. I was impressed by CNY Flooring's online customer photos and testimonials, and afterward the willingness of the owner to arrange a free estimate, then finally and most of all the excellent pricing. I purchased my own tile elsewhere, and used CNY Flooring for the installation only. The owner Sid and his assistant did such awesome work and clean-up after that I'm now considering having more flooring work where I hadn't even thought of it before. I will provide an update and photos when the last piece is installed. But, I can tell you already that if you're looking for quality, timeliness, professionalism, and reasonable pricing, look no further. CNY Flooring is one of the best that I've encountered in 20 years here in Syracuse, and more than a half dozen tile flooring contractors in my home over the years. They show you a crazy high price, but then "a just for you" price that is much less...IF you give them a bank check or cash deposit When you decline, they call in for a better price. When told that we will not be pressured, they assume it's the price, not the bad practice. I had to scream at him to finally live my home. NO means NO! This a.m. got a fresh estimate for 1/3 the original estimate...NO! It was like Dr. Suese "Green Eggs and Ham...I would not like you carpet in a box, I would not like it with a Fox! Overall their cost was just barely above their major competitors, however they included a lot of extras their competition did not, a beautiful stainless sink for example as well as the supports for the island overhand and their installation. All in I would have spend more if I went with the completion. Their service was fast, efficient and most importantly quality. Extremely happy with the quartz countertops they installed for me and will use them again on the next home.
