The woman on the other line quickly became irate because I asked if they would install an existing hand rail. It was just a simple question. I was hoping for some help because my business recently burned down, which I told her, but she proceeded to yell at me for not knowing what services they offer. I think they could have delivered the same message in a nicer way. I likely would have purchased their product if I had been treated with respect. Also, the first time I called they picked up the phone and hung up. It appears they are avoiding phone calls.

Terrible experience from start to finish. We had a back step installed which we were never notified…read moreahead of time that it was coming, they just came with the step. The delivery man got annoyed with us that we didn't have our vinyl fence taken apart so that they could even get it in our yard. I let him know we were never even notified they were coming. He left annoyed and took my step with him. They eventually came back a week or so later and were able to install it. After it was installed, it initially looked nice but started to chip apart on top almost immediately. We called Steps Plus multiple times. Someone came out and looked at the step and accused us of using salt or something on the step that would cause chipping. That was never the case as it was a back step that only our dogs used in the winter. We never salted it ever as we didn't want our dogs to ingest the salt. A week later we got a bill in the mail saying if we wanted it resurfaced it would be over $200. It was only a few months old! I called back and spoke to a woman named Judy I believe and explained the full situation. She was very apologetic and offered to replace the entire step for free as there was clearly an issue in the concrete and a "bandaid" repair wasn't going to be best in the long run. She said she would put in the order and contact us when it was ready. Well that was June 2019. It's now May 2020. We never heard from them again and we still have our faulty step. Completely ridiculous, don't spend a dime here.

If we could give this company negative stars we would. The owner is the most arrogant, aggressive…read moreand dishonest person we have ever delt with in business our entire lives! They try to scam you out of thousands! The markup he tried to rip us off on for a door was almost double than what we were able to get at Home Depot. We ended up suing him in small claims court and we won our money back thank God. Word of advice....DO NOT SIGN ANY PAPERWORK until you read the tiny fine print word for word on the back!!! This is where they try to catch you! They will try to push you to say it's just a work order to "get the process started".....it's not, it's their binding contract. The sales guy was extremely misleading with false promises and assured us we couldn't find a better price and pressured us for a deposit just to "hold" the work order as it's just standard protocol. He did not go over any of the fine print with us. You can't take anyone's word anymore...big lesson learned for us. After we checked around, and realized the deceit, we confronted them about the HUGE gap in price. Instead of trying to work with us and come to a middle ground, the owner proceeded to become loud, defensive and hostile. He conveniently ignored our official requests to cancel and get our deposit back. He straight up LIED about everything and changed the story to his benefit. Well the courts delivered his karma right back at him. This man does not give one damn about the customer. Shameful! Don't walk...Run. So many other ethical businesses out there to support other than this greedy con artist.
