I was hoping for some help because my business recently burned down, which I told her, but she proceeded to yell at me for not knowing what services they offer. I think they could have delivered the same message in a nicer way. I likely would have purchased their product if I had been treated with respect. Also, the first time I called they picked up the phone and hung up. It appears they are avoiding phone calls.

Terrible experience from start to finish. We had a back step installed which we were never notified…read moreahead of time that it was coming, they just came with the step. The delivery man got annoyed with us that we didn't have our vinyl fence taken apart so that they could even get it in our yard. I let him know we were never even notified they were coming. He left annoyed and took my step with him. They eventually came back a week or so later and were able to install it. After it was installed, it initially looked nice but started to chip apart on top almost immediately. We called Steps Plus multiple times. Someone came out and looked at the step and accused us of using salt or something on the step that would cause chipping. That was never the case as it was a back step that only our dogs used in the winter. We never salted it ever as we didn't want our dogs to ingest the salt. A week later we got a bill in the mail saying if we wanted it resurfaced it would be over $200. It was only a few months old! I called back and spoke to a woman named Judy I believe and explained the full situation. She was very apologetic and offered to replace the entire step for free as there was clearly an issue in the concrete and a "bandaid" repair wasn't going to be best in the long run. She said she would put in the order and contact us when it was ready. Well that was June 2019. It's now May 2020. We never heard from them again and we still have our faulty step. Completely ridiculous, don't spend a dime here.

Our fence required FOUR installation attempts because the Syracuse crew clearly had no idea what they were doing. We dealt with major errors every single time: the wrong gate size, huge gaps on both sides, uneven posts, sloppy workmanship, and metal posts left sticking up throughout our yard. Cleanup was nonexistent. Basic installation standards were ignored. What made this even worse was the behavior of Russell, the general manager. He was dismissive, deflective, and unhelpful every time we reached out. Instead of addressing the actual workmanship issues, he fabricated lies about us and misrepresented our complaint internally. His approach to customer service was to blame, deflect, and avoid accountability. At one point he even told an employee something about us that was not only false, but embarrassingly easy to disprove. Completely unacceptable. The ONLY positive part of this entire experience was Doug, our sales representative, and Hayden, our final planning specialist. They were professional, respectful, and actually cared about customer service. Hayden and Ryan came out for the final repair and fixed everything the previous crew failed to do. They corrected the gate, eliminated the gaps, fixed the post skirt, cut and buried the leftover metal stakes, repaired a cap, and made the fence look the way it should have from day one. The final result looks great -- but it took months of stress, multiple failed installations, and dealing with a general manager who refused to take responsibility. Doug, Hayden, and Ryan deserve recognition. The rest of the experience was a disaster. If you choose Vinyl Outlet, be prepared to fight for quality. The good employees are the only reason our fence is finally correct.
