For the most part, Santikos is GREAT. The quality of their auditoriums and the sound is amazing. HOWEVER, Santikos Galaxy has been going downhill as far as the movie-going experience. It's now been TWICE, where there's been other customers in the auditorium making noises, talking, disrupting the movie, all of that stuff. The first time, I had to walk out and get a refund for my ticket. The second time, which was today, me and my friend stayed, even though there were some issues with people disrupting the movie. I've worked at many theaters, and theater checking/auditorium checks are part of the job as an usher! It doesn't seem like Galaxy is doing their job in making sure there's no disruptions during the movie. I won't be paying money to go see a movie at Santikos Galaxy again for a while. I love the aesthetics of the place and the 80's vibe, but man, I can't stand it when I'm trying to focus on the movie and my teacher brain is turning on, wanting to tell the kids (and sometimes grown adults) to be quiet. Hopefully they turn things around!

Various food vendors ranged from chicken on a stick, everything barbacoa, BBQ, Filipino food, and corn on a cup to state fair food like funnel cakes, turkey legs, and everything fried :D And the vendors continued from the outside into the building- where you could shop for jewelry, bid on silent auction items, and buy kettle corn etc. Live bands played indoor and out, although the band indoors was super loud, it was an annoyance .. hard to carry a conversation. We sampled free HEB barbacoa tacos and chile and limon Guerrero chips. Really enjoyed the chips! But my fave tacos were the $3 barbacoa with works from Big Chile Grillers and the delicious brisket taco from Jag BBQ . Both bomb!!!!!!! Accompanied my food with a refreshing decaf blueberry HTeaO drink. Plenty of shady picnic tables outside and inside to eat your yummy items and listen and chill to music. I have been wanting to experience a live concert here for many years, and even though catching a show is still sitting firmly on my bucket list, walking through this place did not disappoint! From the moment you arrive, you are struck by just how huge and impressive the space is. It has such an incredible, lively energy. The staff was wonderfully friendly and welcoming, and the aroma of the barbecue floating through the air smelled absolutely terrific--it was mouthwatering! You can just feel the history and the vibrant atmosphere humming all around you. It is such a fun store and venue to explore, and I am already looking forward to my next visit. We will definitely be back, and one of these days, I'm going to check off that concert!

We tried a variety of options, and had a good overall time. That said, two things brought the experience down. First, at the wristband pickup, the worker was so rude! A little friendliness goes a long way, especially for returning guests. More significantly: I paid for two Fast Passes expecting priority access to rides and they were completely ignored. Ride operators ignored the fast pass guests. This isn't a small inconvenience; it's paying for a service that simply wasn't delivered. My advice: skip the Fast Pass until the rodeo has the staffing and systems to actually enforce it. It works at Disney and Universal because those parks have dedicated infrastructure for it. Here, it felt like an upsell with no follow-through.

Went with a school trip so I didn't really get to explore but the general admission ticket covers all of the grounds, with the carnival area having a separate wristband for the rides. We saw horses, cows, several educational sessions, the HEB dairy area with information on milk cows, and we really enjoyed the petting farm. All of these activities were free, except at the petting farm you needed to buy food if you wanted to feed the animals ($5 per cup). Petting area was fun for small children, with goats, chickens, a pig, 2 deer. It's a lot of walking so if with small kids, I would bring a stroller, even though some areas might not be very stroller friendly. Throughout the grounds, there were food vendors, drink vendors, and clean restrooms inside the buildings. Parking is $25 for the onsite lot and $10 for the Blue Lot off Gembler Road which was a short shuttle ride. On each way, I didn't have to wait for the shuttle, but not sure if they run that frequently all day. I also went on a Thursday, so on the weekend if you were having to wait 30 mins for the shuttle I could see that it would be worth it for the on site parking, or if you have small kids and don't want to deal with the shuttle! Fun time, would like to go again and if so, I'll try for a weekday again to avoid some crowds.

Another one put the iced water on my friend's table even though she hadn't even ordered anything? I don't know where the disconnect is occurring but they need to work it out if this is a brand new system. I ordered my regular Carnivore pizza and saw you could select or omit your ingredients. We couldn't before. Pizza took about 18 minutes and I asked the server for more napkins which he brought later. This new pizza wasn't a thin crust like before and didn't have a zesty sauce as before. I was disappointed because I usually look forward to their thin, crispy pizzas and would consider just ordering that to go if I could. There's an 18% Service Fee added to the check so you don't have to tip at the end. Too bad you can't alter it because the service may be poor? Also, at the end of the movie, they'll text you "WHEN THE FILM ENDS, you have 20 mins to close your tab b4 it auto-closes with 5% tip." WHAT???!! I had my phone on silent so I noticed it when I got to my car & told my friends which they already closed. Both of those reasons I probably won't order a Carnivore pizza again. It was fun while it lasted to have a Mimosa & Pizza. Adding extra "tips" on top of the mandatory "Service Fees" just seems excessive. I can see someone overlooking this after a movie ends if their phone is off, if they have to use the restroom, saying bye to friends, etc. JUST REMEMBER TO CLOSE YOUR TAB BEFORE THE 20 MINUTES ARE UP AFTER THE MOVIE ENDS AND BEWARE OF THE 5% TIP YOU CAN DECLINE!! Bathrooms are clean, seats are reclined but I'd prefer a higher recline for my legs and so did my friends but I get that it has to be flexible for all heights. Lastly, watch where you park because there's a bar across the parking lot below. My friend came back to a scratched up bumper we think was from someone who was drunk!
