Lakeview Resort - View from Cabin 10.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lakeview Resort. My family and I stayed a week at a very reasonably…read morepriced cabin. It slept 4-6 and we fit quite nicely. We had 6 +baby and it worked just fine because of awesome outside space. The views of the lake and the new firepit were awesome. It was a very relaxed setting. The pool was amazing and we used it every day, just steps away from our cabin. The lodge has a pool table, large screen tv, and foosball. I liked having Direct TV. Waterville was a nice, quaint small town with a small market and a few stores. Lots of access to the lake from resort and other spots. Make sure you bring some games and pool toys, plenty of towels, some extra bedding, cleaning supplies, and a great attitude. The seasonal renters and the owner were very friendly and included us in all the activities on the weekend. No hidden fees or drama on check out. Wifi was a little slow so don't plan on working everyday. Just enhoy the friendly, relaxing environment.

This place is just...bad. We stayed one night in Cabin 10. The cabin was small- a tight fit for two…read moreadults and 4 kids- and the other cabins are even smaller. It was poorly constructed and poorly maintained and worst of all it was dirty. The stove had two bent burners and all the pots and pans were either dirty or broken. The silverware and plates were dirty too. The air conditioning is a window unit in the main room. It was 95 degrees outside the night we were there. When we shut the bedroom doors it got very hot and smelled of cigarette smoke. The hide a bed couch was covered in stains and felt dirty to the touch. There were flies and moths in all the rooms. The patio area had a plastic picnic table covered in food and beverage spills and the gravel under foot was littered with cigarette butts. There is a wooden play structure near the cabins but it is installed over packed dirt so kids can easily get hurt if they fall and there were old rusty broken toys laying around. There is a view of Lake Sakatah from the patio but you have to walk down a steep hill, across a busy road, down a steep set of stairs and onto a narrow metal dock to access the water. You can't swim in the lake. There is a small pool but it's not very clean and little kids are not allowed in it. There was no wifi access and the tv had access restricted on many of the channels. We had originally planned on staying 4 nights and we had reserved all 4 cabins for a family reunion. We bailed at 6am and found another location for the reunion.

I felt like I was at my best friend from college's home while I stayed midweek on business in the Waseca, MN area. The beds were divine! Comfortable and just the right amount of firmness. The lines were top notch and loved my jacuzzi tub and the shower and amenities were planet friendly and smelled amazing. The coffee is delicious or you can use the Kerig machine for coffee/tea anytime. It was quiet so that I could get work done and simply relaxing. My welcome platter was shared with the owner/innkeeper and her hubby while we chatted about life. Close to a yoga studio that is breathtaking and a massage/acupuncture healing space a few miles away, Healing Hands, is a huge bonus. Being a craftbeer fan, two breweries are very close by and a pizza farm and a few wineries. You are close to a few other small cities (less than 20 minutes) for other breweries as well. I can see coming back here to enjoy a bike ride or long walk along Clear Lake or maybe kayaking too. Jodie's home is newly decorated Victorian style without the stuffiness and dust that many homes have. It is simply beautiful and her master gardener skills will surely show in the spring/summer/fall. BREAKFAST!!!!!!! was beyond amazing and healthy. I like more protein and healthy fats and since I was the only guest, we shared breakfast together of avocado toast, boiled egg, hint of cayenne, french yogurt with fruit, grapefruit juice, plenty of coffee, and a delicious blackberry and white chocolate scone. This is the BEST place to stay if traveling near Owatonna/Waseca/Mankato/Faribault area, as that is where I was traveling for work. See you again soon! Brenda

After 12 hour drive want a nice hot shower and bed. Turn on shower and dead fly comes floating by. Then toilet was never cleaned! Inside was gross! Dirt and hair in corner of floor by shower. Dirty used Kleenex, hair and dirt under counter in sink. So gross! Beds were made and there were clean towels. I didn't even sleep on sheets because I didn't know if they were actually clean. I arrived on a Tuesday at 2pm and they had a room ready for me in the 1st floor. I was greeted at the front desk and told about the free breakfast. My room was clean. The bathroom was good as well as the bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. The pillows also were fluffy and the room smelled clean. The room has a big selection of tv channels and the WiFi was easy to connect to. Being on the 1st floor I thought it might be noisy but it was extremely quiet. The breakfast had a good variety of options and I would say it is just as good if not better than some Hampton inn breakfasts. I would recommend staying here, would go back.
