I've been getting a pedi here about once a month for the past 2 years, and I've always been pleased. Sure, some techs are better than others, just like EVERY walk-in salon, but all in all, my experiences have been positive. I've never noticed a weird smell, the salon is clean. A few times I've had to wait on a busy Saturday, and they have always been super apologetic. No one has ever been rude. As of July 2022, there are NO salons in Ellijay with Sunday hours, no matter what you see on Yelp. Mountain rural - lots of stores are closed on Sundays. read more

My mom and daughters got me a gift certificate to Best Nails for Mother's Day. When I saw the negative reviews I was nervous, but honestly I had a great experience! They were out of the original color I wanted but when I looked back at the swatch me and the nail tech doing my nails (I think she was the owner) both noticed this holographic polish and she suggested I do my full nails that color. How she knew it was perfect for me I don't know, but it was! I LOVE it. Pictures won't do it justice since the color shifts, but they are awesome and I even got compliments from another client while there. One tech even suggested an insole to help with my feet. They were really great! I found my new nail place in Ellijay for sure! **I will add I was at the salon during the negative post below mine and the techs were trying to help once the problem was brought to their attention. The client insisted on fixing her nails at home after they tried to help and brought it to their attention once the pedi was done. I could have walked out due to this disruption but I decided to stay and I'm glad I did. Bad attitudes won't get you anywhere!** read more

DO NOT GO THERE. THE FACILITY IS SO DIRTY AND.... My question is Who soaks your feet for 30 seconds tHEN starts trimming toes nails, cuticles and PAINTS YOUR TOES within three minutes. There was nobody there AND SHE ACTED LIKE THE PLACE WAS ON FIRE! I was cut by her three times while in the chair. One of the cuts was so bad she had to get up and go to her Acrylic Nail station ( at the front) and get alum to stop the bleeding. She did apologize for the worst cut. The paint job horrendous. I have pictures of my cuts and paint job but not sure how to post them. Insult to injury she asked me if I wanted to ADD A TIP to my bill!! Just the worst! Never again! read more

Horrible! Unsanitary! Rushed! Rude! Manicurist used a coarse file on my nails. She bumped the gel polish when putting them into the lamp and tried to hide it. She jammed the pusher into my nail bed. She tried to use the same dirty file on the next customer. I could go on. Run!!!!!!! Avoid this place! read more

Despite the low review rating, I decided to walk into this salon to get my nails done. I am here visiting from out of town and the last manicure I had at home was not very good. Sandy repaired a really awful manicure that I had, pier helped me pick a nice color and did a really great job. I will definitely go back. She is a really sweet person And I enjoyed chatting with her and the other customer sitting around me. They were pretty busy but they seemed to be able to handle the volume of customers that flowed through. I will come back next time I visit this area. read more

This place is disgusting. It simply reeked of cigarette smoke, like someone is actually smoking inside the place. The man who did my nails was intently watching a soccer game on his iPad the whole time he was doing my nails and was clearly not concentrating on the job at hand. He burned me not once, but three times with the dremel, drawing blood. Two days later, it still hurts. And the place is filthy; worktable covered in dust and grit; garbage can dirty, gross and overflowing. Never again. read more

Well if you are looking for a quality job and a good experience don't go to Best Nails (29 highland crossing, Ellijay). The lady was in a rush and hurt my finger several times. Not only did she not apologize, she refused to let me get a pedicure unless I allowed her to keep hurting me (very strange). I was not impressed. The lady, the owner i assumed basically was complaining the whole time she was taking off my SNS nails. They don't have SNS there, or if they do it's not a large variety. I was hoping to find a local place in Ellijay which is where I live but of course no luck. I will have to continue to go to Canton where they know what they are doing. read more

They did a great job on my nails - a lot better than other places and were very nice. I am surprised at the comments & will update my review if I see anyone be rude or not give good service, but I had a great experience. I didn't give it 5 because it was not a luxury spa with 5 star treatment, just your standard nail salon. They do not have a long wait, even without appointment, which was nice. read more

I will NOT go back. My mom and I came here 3 times.. all 3 times were terrible. They did a terrible job and also put on one of my nails crooked. I left the place 2 times with my cuticles bleeding and once with a gash on my pinky (shown in photo) that I have to treat with Neosporin. They will argue with you about what YOU want and aren't too friendly. This last time I wanted drippy blood nails.. that were oval shaped. I got pink sparkly STAMPED ON blood and very oddly shape nails (also shown in photo). I would give it no stars, but I can't.. sadly. read more

My nails: Paint color looks "watered down" and my toe nails are cut evenly. The color does not completely cover my toe nails. Didn't notice until in sunlight. My niece's nails: look great even though the design on her big toe isn't what we asked for. Not sure if the lady didn't hear the design or chose not to do it. For the first time going there not a great experience. Place was super hot inside and not very clean or well kept. The one guy did my nails, manicure, and it was not a job well done. Had to have him touch up most of my nails where he didn't paint at all. When it was time to massage my hands he used the smallest amount of lotion and was just moving my arm all around. I had a relaxing massage and thought I would top it off with a pedicure. From the moment I walked in to Best Nails they were RUDE! They ordered me around and told me they couldn't do the design I requested because it would take all day and they didn't have time for that. It was a hard design and I understood that they couldn't do it but the rudeness was un called for. I almost left but thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt...bad idea... As I was talking to the first lady I was being told to sit down in a not so kind manner. The lady was very forceful when moving my feet around. They were also poking on my foot where I had a sunburn and kept talking in their language. I told them that it was a sunburn but they just ignored me. I think it is so rude to have a client in front of you and they only talk to the other worker next to them in a different language. I was bummed because I had just gotten a great massage for my birthday and was looking forward to a great pedicure. The owner lady (I guess thats who she was) must have noticed that I was not very happy because she started being a little nicer. She was the one that did the designs on my toes that turned out good. The design is the only reason I gave this place a 2 star. I will NEVER return! This place also has some bad energy running through it. Try somewhere else:) read more
