The first visit I dont think the food was open. It was a weekend night and dark. We made wreaths in that barn. In the pole barn they had movie and popcorn. My young son was running around like a madman. He was a fast eloper. I apologized and I was told that's what kids are supposed to do on the farm. There was a cookie decoration building. Everything is decorated cute. A lot of items are made by the owner. Like the outdoor tables by the pole barn. The horse shoe hooks in the bathrooms. The next year we came on a Saturday at 3. We got lucky with a beautiful but freezing and sunshine day. I wasn't sure the ride would be as nice in the daylight but it was wonderful. My son enhoyed the playground while waiting for the train. The Santa has rules to help the process. Maybe Mrs Claus should be doing that? We had cocoa and marshmallows. We rode the train back, climbed a hay hill then visited with the animals. They were beautiful and well loved. I loved the part you could go in. I imagine in the summer there's more animals running around. And we saw a place for pony rides. We will be back in warmer weather. We then went to the Red food barn. I love the saddle seating, upside down tree and the lights set to music. But what really made my day was the pulled pork. It was wonderful! All of the staff was nice. The trees looked nice. I loved that they had mini ones and some small ones in containers.

It is $18 a person just to get in. What this gets you is a chance to pet some farm animals (which you have to pay to feed, also not crazy about them keeping cats locked up in a cage) , play some paintball (shoot at targets) and let your kids play with some playground equipment. Oh and you can take a ride on the hay wagon to go get your pumpkins. The pumpkins will cost you .55 a lb. If you want food you have to buy tickets to get it. We paid $18 each to get in (five of us), $45 for 3 pumpkins, and another $45 for a bag of cake donuts, 1/2 a gallon of cider and three caramel apples. The cider had turned so we couldn't even drink it it was so bad. It's just too much money for what you get. For no entry fee you can go to a regular orchard with a shop and get your donuts and cider for free and just buy your pumpkins. Which is what we will do next year instead of coming here. If money is no issue for you go ahead and visit this place, you might like it. But if you are on a budget this is not the place to go and there are far more less expensive places around. Oh and maybe the owner should practice smiling more, he was a bit of a grump to be honest.

There was a beautifully decorated building for where everyone ate and danced. Outside, there was a bar and lots of tables for people to hang out. There were outdoor games, and a petting farm area. They also have a place for a bonfire later on. The only problem I had was with the landscaping rocks around the outdoor table areas. I had on heels, as did many others, and they were SO HARD to walk on. Regular shoes would have been fine. My feet were absolutely killing me after a couple of hours. The staff member with us (Sophia) was helpful and was frequently asking what I needed help with. She helped us set up and take down as well. The decorations were all set up upon our arrival. They had balloons and tablecloths set up for us. The only thing I brought related to decor was a backdrop and "happy birthday" sign for the dessert table. Also brought our desserts and food. The party room was clean and all of our guests complimented how well kept the farm was. There was a high chair for the birthday boy and 6 larger tables for the guests (there were a bunch more outdoors as well but all of our guests ate in the party room). I appreciated having the entire farm and party room to ourselves. All of the kids enjoyed their play time in the yard (a bunch of toys, some ride on car/roller coasters, sand area, and more out there to keep them busy) in addition to the petting farm itself. They also enjoyed riding the horse. I would recommend some rain boots if you're coming after heavy rain. It gets muddy on the farm. The only downside was that I had to bring literally everything needed along with us such as plates, silverware, napkins, a knife and spatula and lighter for the cake (just some examples).... It would be awesome if some of those things were provided by Carousel Acres but it was no big deal since I knew in advance. This still didn't take away from the experience. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would recommend it for others! I would definitely have another party here again.

The granddaughter of the owner, Kenzie, was super nice and good with the kids. She should manage all the guest relations as she is welcoming and friendly. But that was the middle part of the visit. The beginning and the end were BAD; and it was all because of one woman and her rude attitude. Her name is Lorraine. When we arrived, we were not aware we were supposed to "check in" at the porch as there was no sign saying to do so. Another worker ran after us saying we had to check in at the porch. So we did. Then we learned we needed to pay $12 each, which caught us by surprise because the Facebook event did not say there was an entry fee. Lorraine said rudely "there's ALWAYS a $12 entry fee to get in!" We said we'd never been there so we didn't know that and that events on Facebook usually say if there is a fee. We found a way for the 7 of us to pay because only one of us had cash. (She should not be in a greeter position or any position facing off with the public. She does not know how to talk nicely to people). And then after we'd enjoyed time with the animals and had forgot about the rough start, we encountered her again and she was she was rude to our family again; twice before we left. Once when we decided to go into the gift shop and Lorraine said, "What are you doing? You can't go in there!" when we tried to open the door. She then said it was closed for a private event. I said, "the sign on the door says OPEN and come in." She didn't say anything, but stood up and slid it over so it said it was Closed. (She could've said...oh sorry for the confusion; we should have changed that). She made us feel like we did something wrong when they should've changed the sign. (Her approach and tone was very unwelcoming every time we interacted with her). Then when I was over talking to Kenzie about the cute swinging ghosts hanging over the entryway Lorraine took it upon herself to walk over and yell at my son-in-law who was playing on a teeter totter with his daughter, acting like he was riding it up and down with her, but using his legs to stand and go up and down. She rudely told him he wasn't allowed to be on the equipment. He didn't appreciate her tone and how she spoke to him in front of his daughter. That was totally unnecessary! This place has so much potential, but having someone like that as your first (and last) impression will not help you. I told Lorraine before we left that we had really enjoyed the Farm, but that she had been rude to our family several times during our visit and it had really ruined the visit for us ...and she said nothing back. Not a big deal but just make sure they have your order right before you leave! Cider was not great. Tasted like watered down apple juice. Wouldn't get it again.

They also include U-pick options as part of their CSA, however, we live an hour away and we're only able to visit once for a U-Pick. The produce selection is wide and each week, we had lots of different vegetables, including root veggies, lettuces, and cruciferous veg. We picked ours up from a local store in Plymouth made possible thanks to an awesome volunteer. The vegetables were some of the most delicious I've ever had, very fresh, maybe wonky shaped, but so delicious and without pesticides. Tantre Farms also offers an Immune Booster CSA which is curated weekly and features items from other local farms and businesses, an extended fall CSA, and a Thanksgiving CSA.

You can tell the chickens are happy as they are roaming around free. It is so easy to access. The big cooler is out near the road so it is easy to pull over on the way home from work and pick some up. There is a jar there to leave payment. The eggs are bright yellow and healthy looking. The price is way better than whole foods and these are definitely local. I am happy to pay for the quality you get and just experience of getting my eggs right from the farm.
