I used these reviews to pick my doctor. I met with him and he is very knowledgeable and caring. He suspected me of having sleep apnea and recommended me to a specialist before I go through with the surgery. Turns out he was right! After that was taken care of I went back to discuss a surgery date and it turns out he had a cancellation right before the new year. It was only 3 or 4 days out so his team rushed to get the insurance to sign off on it and fast forward 3 1/2 weeks later I feel like a new person! I can breathe again. Don't do what I did and research about septoplasty, none of that is true with Dr. Astrachan. He had me in and out in no time. Best part is my insurance paid for the whole thing! If you cannot breathe properly do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Astrachan.

Nonetheless, I left without a diagnosis. Before my appointment six months later, in talking with a relative, it seemed possible that I had a similar issue as my blood-relative and brought up the possibility during the appointment. Dr. Hecht cavalierly said it was not possible, but my next hearing test indicated the very same issue. It just makes me curious of whether I should have been diagnosed earlier and why he was so certain I would not have the same thing. Working with GT on hearing implements was also just ok. In October 20322 my wife and I purchased expensive hearing aids. The contract on page 3 stated, "... After the trial period a member is allowed up to 3 visits within the first year ... at no cost. ". We were told that this allowed us 3 free visits to tune up the hearing aids. In May of 2023 my wife and I want to have the hearing aids adjusted and checked. At the visit we were told there would be a charge. When we objected the audiologist stated that the phrase "visits within the first year" applied to Dec 31, 2022, the end of the calendar year of the purchase and not 12 months from transaction date. We then called the salesperson who did not call us back. According to Collins dictionary, Law Insider and other sources, the definition of this phrase "Within one year as used herein means the year preceding the date of occurrence of this transaction. The definition of year is "a period of 365 or 366 days." Based on their reaction I do not recommend this company to anyone looking for hearing aids. There are cheaper places where the service cannot be any worse than the Hearing Balance & Speech Center. Bruce P

I was given the sales pitch to purchase new ones at the price of $6000. on two different occasions.I decided to stay with what I had until my dog damaged one of them. I was then told to replace just one it would cost 2-4K. I immediately went to Costco and couldn't be happier. The exam and hearing test is much more thorough. A camera is placed in the ear canal which displayed a huge ball of wax on the eardrum on one ear. I had been to MIracle Ear 3 weeks prior and that was not mentioned or detected? The customer service is much better also and I love my new hearings aids at less than 1/3 of the cost I spent!! I feel Miracle Ear is NOT worth the money!

The doctor came in at 3:45. She was patient, kind, and thorough. I was contacted less than a week later with the results of labwork and info on how to schedule a follow up.
