I never give reviews unless there is something BAD and after a fiasco this past month I need to…read moreshare because there's SO much to unpack and I'm so frustrated. Finally got my $40 refund today but honestly I think deserve more with dealing with all this. Starting off I attended my first cosmetic appointment on 8/6/2025 at the Columbia location with Doctor Doshi. My first cosmetic appointment with the practice. Coming in, I have over 2-3 years experience getting Botox from a dermatologist practice in Virginia. I typically get around 14 units at $180-210ish. I informed that prior to my arrival. Meeting with doctor Doshi, she recommended me 24 units but then proceeded to try to upsell me saying 30 units would be a better "deal" but not explaining side effects and giving me an idea of the pricing. I appreciate a good "deal" but my first concern meeting a doctor is going over safety. We had some miscommunication and she ended up giving me 24 and I didn't realize until I checked out and got the $350 bill. Honestly, that could've been partially on my fault and maybe I could've been more direct. Her communication and bedside manner is different than what I'm used to so I'm not mad at that. HOWEVER, I thought the idea of selling me 30 units after telling me they recommend 24 is shady - like what is the difference of going twice my usual going to do to my face? Is that safe? I asked the receptionist to clarify on the "deal" and she let me look at the flyer and take a picture of it so so could look at it later. I paid the receptionist on my credit card and told her to put the points on my Alle benefits account and she took a few minutes looking me up and then she said she found me. I then made my followup and left. I saw the payment go through my credit card. Receptionist said I'd get a receipt. I did not get a receipt at the time in my email. Friday afternoon (the 8th) I received a text I still owed a balance and I called the billing department at 11:08AM. They were very unhelpful saying they didn't understand it and maybe they billed for "one set when I got two" or maybe there's a mistake. they said they would contact the office manager and get back to me. Then at this point, I was curious on my points that they put into Alle so I pulled up my account only to find that they did not put in my points AND I had a $40 reward that should have been applied towards my purchase! The $40 should've been mentioned because the receptionist told me she had pulled up my information successfully - was she lying to me? If the receptionist aren't trained and "familiar" with Alle then why tell me you successfully used it to my face and advertise you have it??? I would've been fine and not dragged into this black hole if you told me flat out you don't use it and/or don't know training on it. I reached out over the weekend and the office manager said on august 11th she fixed the billing issue so I don't owe more money like the text said and they could issue me a $40 refund and I got an email my Alle points were added and the $40 take out from my Alle account for the business. The office manager said I could have the $40 refunded to my card that they took from Alle. I said that was fine. August 25th came and I have not received my $40 refund. They said someone would reach out with 24 hours. They did not to my knowledge and no refund. August 28th no refund and no one reached out by then so I reached out again and no response. September 3rd I finally got fed up and took my time off from work to go by their office. The receptionist seemed confused and tried to figure out what was happening. They said the refund would now be issued but couldn't offer a receipt in my hand. They gave me an account summary paper thing and I left with that. They called me when I was in the parking lot 338PM saying they figured out how to send me a receipt. Surprise surprise at 406PM I see no receipt in my email and call back. No one answers and I give up and pray the refund goes through. I wake up this morning September 4th to see they FINALLY issued a refund for the $40 and I guess from here the saga ends (please god) but this was all frustrating. Obviously I don't think I can go back and I STILL never got a receipt for the refund. Feels like it would be another saga to get the receipt so I'm going to let that go but I'm TIRED. Obviously everyone is entitled to their own about businesses but Jesus my first experience here was terrible and I don't think I can go back.

It's never easy having to go to a new doctor for something outside of your control. With my…read moreinsurance I have through work, I have some great options. I put in the type of doctor I want and if they are covered, I am free to go to them. That's just what I did here after being able to compare and see reviews posted by other patients. I did a majority of my stuff online before showing up here. But I still had some paperwork to do when I showed up. Checking in was pretty easy and refreshing. I did all my 'paperwork' on an iPad and it was kind of great that there wasn't any pen and paper involved. Once paperwork was done, I was back in the exam room. Nurse came in and did the preliminary. Then the doctor came in and did the once over and confirmed what I had thought. The doctor gave me options and did not pressure me one way or the other. I went with the one option that would probably take a bit more time. Even though it is a bit out there, I know when I have a follow up and I was able to plan accordingly to accommodate. If I am treated as well as I was during my first visit, I look forward to all follow up visits.

I went here 3 times. Each time they come out into the waiting room and say "Jane please come…read moreback". Or Beth please come back. When they get to me they say my last name. I asked and actually spoke face to face with Dr Bonsal about it. She said she would talk to her staff and address it. Did it change? Nope continued the next 2 times I came. I also saw them be completely rude to a lady of color when she asked about the line. Which is always left side check in and for some reason that day they mixed it up. She didn't do anything wrong and should t have been treated like that. I should not have been treated like I did. I won't say they are racist but it seems like they don't want to even try and accommodate people with different names. The doctor did tell me her parents named her Cheryl since they didn't want her to have a weird Indian name. I wish she would make an effort to have a more welcoming office.

Sat in an office with the door closed for 45 mins waiting for my practitioner to show up. I opened…read morethe door after about 30 mins of waiting. I could hear staff down the hall chatting about their personal life. After 45 mins someone came in and said "ready to leave?" I said NO I HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN YET!! More waiting. When I was seen I had to ask the practitioner to actually look at my back - one of the reasons I was there. It had been a few years since I was last seen for my skin condition and I was being given a new prescription without her actually looking at the area being treated! Nothing was written down so when I picked up my prescriptions (which said follow provider instructions) I had to call for the notes. I won't be returning.
