Everything is baked right on the premises and the aromas help to fill the air with sweets coming right out of the ovens. Mainly run by the Amish folks, they do hire help as I marveled at the gal with the Steeler's tee shirt on while she was making homemade cinnamon rolls, so I had to buy some of those. This area of the market is huge and I do mean filled to capacity with made from scratch whole of half cakes, cream, custard or fruit pies, breads, rolls, sticky buns, tarts, cobblers, whoopie pies, muffins, apple dumplings, cupcakes, cookies and of course shoofly pie. I know some of you who pay an arm and a leg for a cupcake, but here they are very reasonably priced and just as good and as fancy as the ones you pay top dollar for. I bought a half of a black forest cake, a half pumpkin cheesecake with a sour cream topping, both were so delicious, a few loaves of bread, two packages of freshly baked sandwich rolls, a few whoopie pies and a pumpkin roll, love pumpkin and this roll was filled to the brim with lots of cream cheese filling. I hate to bake, they love to bake and they do it so well. We have very few good bakeries nearby so it is a real pleasure knowing that I have the Dutch Country Bakery close enough for me to stock up the fridge, freezer, pantry and yes it will eventually be stored on our bodies. Oh well what a sweet way to do it.

If I need baked goods and I don't have time to make it myself, I come here first. I always find something that I like and everyone is always happy with the product. I have never heard a complaint about something I bought from here. The breads, cookies, cakes, and especally the pies .. my mouth is watering. The price is on point too. I only wish they could be open every day!

The Forager is a small local market and cheese shop with a wide variety of groceries…read more They offer sandwiches, beverages, dozens of different cheeses, several types of cured meats, local and specialty honey, hot sauces, salads, vegetables, eggs, olive oils, syrup, salts, butter, chocolate, dry pasta, tomato pie, fruits/jams, frozen Italian foods, coffee, desserts, etc. We had a lot of fun looking through all the neat items they had. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. They offered some samples of items and were a great conversation. They offer gift boxes, cheese boards and catering. Their website states they offer classes and private events. I ended up with a jar of Noccioliva - Hazelnuts and cocoa join together with extra virgin olive oil in this silken chocolate cream $18 and change (delicious, puts our US version of Nutella to shame), French black cherry jam from La Maison du Piment - made with only rare cerises noires (black cherries) harvested near the village of Itxassou in the French Basque Country, cane sugar, lemon juice and pectin and local wildflower strawberry honey from A-Frame Apiary in Boyertown. If I didn't stuff myself at Itri across the street I would have bought some cheeses and a sandwich, but I'll remember that for my next venture to Bristol Borough! Some items are pricey, but fair for what you're buying. If you like small specialty markets like this give the Forager a visit! Thanks guys!

Beer wise, well they have always been average. I'm not really a fan of anything they make. It's average at best, some brews are true to the style and some are head scratchers. They've never really made a higher ABV brew I've said bravo to either. Without getting into the weeds if your a beer geek you won't be wowed by their brews. They have alternatives though - mead, cider, wine and cold brew coffee. Full bar and a very nice staff. Beer two stars .... building gets the third star and food from Cheese Dawgs gets them to four. Mediocre brewery meets good solid pub grub with awesome specials in a good bar setting. Kid/family friendly atmosphere. When I do get a hankering for some dogs, this is the place though.

Small neighborhood pub with parking up front and street parking. The inside is on the darker side,…read morehas a square bar on the left side and about a dozen high-top tables to the right with several TV's on various spots of the outer walls. The crowd varied from some regulars at the bar to a mix of couples, friends and families in the seating area. I took my son twice for late Monday dinners and found only a few tables occupied. Our server on both visits was a kind and welcoming woman who was helpful with the menu. Their menu covers all of the bases - apps, soups, salads, sandwiches and suppers. They have specials posted on a whiteboard with a small tap list (several beers a few of which are craft). I had fresh Fiddlehead IPA on tap both times. For my first time I ordered the Soprano - Prosciutto, Spicy Capicola, Genoa Salami, Sharp Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato and Onion. Finished with Olive Oil, Vinegar and a Dash of Italian Seasoning. $11 They give a choice of seeded or non and of course I went seeded. I would say it's close to a clone of Mazzanti's classic Italian. I really enjoyed it and would order it again. The home made chips that came with it were fresh and crispy. Second go around I had The "Tip" Sandwich - Seasoned Petite Tenderloin Tips, Sautéed Onion & Mushrooms, American Cheese, Garlic Stick Bread. $14 Delicious portions of tender beef tip, a thick layer of American cheese, and a perfect balance of sautéed onion and mushroom mixed in on that crispy seeded roll made my night . Every bite was on point. My son ordered a cheese burger and said it was very good. He could only eat half and was stuffed. I would certainly return if in the area. My kid was happy we got to relax, chat and watched some college basketball. It's not the most spacious or brightly lit place, but those two sandwiches were great! Thanks guys!!
