Bigger isn't ALWAYS better... If you know what you need, and you're lucky enough to find it here in stock, as we did last night, your experience here at this smaller Best Buy here in Springfield will be great. Happy not to fight the crowds, to get help that's attentive but not TOO aggressive, and after online research, find exactly the laptop I wanted. Wasn't sure we'd find the model I wanted, but lucked out and didn't have to travel to one of the larger stores near the malls. Had great help from Andy, was able to compare several different options in my price range, and didn't feel too much pressure to buy a more expensive model. Was in and out in less than half an hour. Do your homework, there are still some great buys to be found here (and in other "box stores" vs. online), and of course nothing beats seeing and testing out your "new toy" before you buy it. If they don't have what you want, you can always have it sent here from the website, which still works best for many of us who'd rather not risk having the higher $$ purchases delivered. I don't usually shop at Best Buy because in Yellowsprings, the rumor is, "Whatever Best Buy Advertises on sale; they never have". I bought what the young man said was the loudest speakers they had. I purchased a Blink outdoor 4 xr camera system last week, i went in today to purchase 2 more cameras. A large snuffalufigus looking fella was ifront of the cabinet of Blink cameras talking to an older couple so I backed off and waited my turn. He concluded his conversation and just walked away. I looked around for anyone to help and they were all busy.....except for Snuffy, he was leaning against some TV boxes , as I passed him he looks at me and smiles while telling me to have a great day. This is one of the smallest stores that I have seen. I am used to several employees at the front giving all who enter a warm welcome. This certainly isn't the hustle and bustle experience. It took a few minutes for an employee to notice my mother in law needed help. He was full of knowledge. Nothing bad or nothing great. read more

Well Best Buy lost my business today! Spent 4,000 and was supposed to get a delivery today. No call, no email, no delivery. Called CS and was told that my merch didn't arrive at the warehouse, so it couldn't be delivered. Hey Best Buy, did you ever think to let us know!!!!! Excellent help from employees, particularly Tyler in selecting a TV. He was very knowledgeable. When attaching my new TV on the wall, I realized that the screws from the old to the new weren't the same and NOT INCLUDED. This bit if info is probably not unique to other shoppers. Best Buy might let shoppers know this might make their installation less efficient. I attempted to call Springfield Best Buy. I was on hold for a long while so I drove there with my call still on hold. Upon arriving I told the manager that I am still on hold and it's ridiculous for someone not to answer. He informed me that hold calls are transferred elsewhere. THIS IS NONSENSE!!! Best Buy Should correct this for better customer service. read more

We were in Springfield to attend a track meet at Wittenburg University. So this is not my usual Best Buy and I doubt I'll be back anytime soon. But the experience was so good I had to share. We went to Best Buy to replace some broken cords for the ipod so we could listen to music on the way home. We walked in and were instantly greeted. Nice. Then I found someone right away who could tell me where to find the cords I needed. Sweet. Then when we found said cords they were in obviously opened/returned boxes and they even gave us a discount. We recently purchased five printers to use for our business. We were having an issue with one of them working. We contacted the store and were talking with the Geek Squad. After 40 minutes of conversation, with none of our questions getting answered, we were told to come to the store, bring the printer and have an appointment with an advanced tech. I set the appointment up, drove 30 minutes and started talking with someone from the store. I asked the same questions to the person helping me to get told that we would have to pay $40 to talk with someone from the Geek Squad. This was to solve a problem that the brand new printer was having and was also something that I was not told about when talking with the person on the phone. They exchanged the printer for a new one, would not answer any questions, unless charging us, and said they would pass along the frustration we had to the Geek Squad. At least I got the printer replaced but I hope we don't have any issues, the customer support is horrible. read more

Sitting in line at the Best Buy, not very customer friendly, lots of employees and everybody just looking around. It's kind of surreal

Don't EVER, EVER, EVER buy a remote start from this store. Or any Best Buy in this are as they have the absolute worst service of any store I have ever been to. Not only are the employees as rude and uncaring as could be , but so is the supervisor. They installed a faulty remote in my truck that a Geek squad member finally recently told me should have never been installed, but it also fried my wiring under my dash, which the installer ( Now quit ) denied abd the supervisor totally dismissed me with rude and belittling comments and an awful attitude. Once I realized they were not going to help and I turned around and started walking out of the store, ad I hot half way to the door, the supervisor yells at me across the store "Have a nice day sir" in a very sarcastic tone. WOW, just WOW. They now have no installers or repair person within 40 miles of this store and could care less that I spent over $400 for a remote snd installation that is totally useless.! read more

Me my brother and buddy went in to get a speaker and a pair of cordless Beats, I guess we weren't dressed well enough because every 7 seconds another employee was checking on us and monitoring our every move. Finally I was looking at a speaker and they made sure to walk me to the register with it. We spent over $300 but felt like thieves they way they treated us. I regret now buying anything. read more

Found keyboard I needed on line & drove 20 minutes to get to this store. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The associate helped me find exactly what I needed, checked to make sure that it indeed had the caps lock indicator that I wanted and assured me that my Rewards would show at the register. Check out was quick and the lady at the register was friendly. She located my account and told me that not only was my $5 rewards available for my purchase, but that I had more rewards that needed to be used soon. These people are great. read more

Wanted to buy a computer so went to Best Buy in Beavercreek once and Best Buy in Springfield twice. Was told "my best option" three different ways by three different people. Very confused!!! A member of the geek squad was working the floor in Springfield and talked me into a Lenovo lap top due to the fact that it was on sale and for $100 they would; Free up grade to windows 10, Install the wireless printer I purchased, Install a word processing program, and install webroot virus protection. When I arrived to pick up the computer I wanted to see if the word program they installed was acceptable only to find they had not installed it. After waiting in line for over 40 minutes to pick up the computer I had to then wait for them to install. After a week of trying to learn to use the windows 10 they installed and trying to follow instructions for windows 10 from the internet I finally realized they had also not installed windows 10 and I was still on windows 8. I guess 2 out of 4 ain't terrible but in this case it will prevent me from purchasing anything else from Best Buy. I also will not use the Geek Squad in the springfield store again. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. We have bought several appliances from Best Buy and were satisfied until this experience. The inexperienced and apparently ignorant young man who "assisted" us repeated the delivery address, which was for the house that I just sold. When I told him the address was incorrect, he supposedly fixed it. I received a call from Best Buy delivery two days before the scheduled delivery and they had the wrong address again. When I told the woman, she said she couldn't do anything but would have the store call me. The store never called me. I called and sat on hold for over 15 minutes with no answer. My husband sat on hold for 35 minutes and was finally told the wrong address again but was able to have them correct the address. Our delivery window was 12-6 pm. We stayed home all day and they never showed up. We called the store and were on hold for over 20 minutes when we finally got our call answered. The first girl was no help and customer service was awful. After they never called back like they promised, we went to the store. The assistant manager informed us she couldn't do anything except maybe give us a discount. We would have to take off work for it to be delivered Monday. She said she couldn't even cancel the order until Sunday but yet they don't deliver on Sunday. These people have no concept of customer service. I will never purchase an appliance from these people again. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Purchased a service contract for my new 65" UHD HDR TV. The installer told me that the price of the contract included a calibration to adjust the TV. Called to schedule said appointment and the folks in customer care informed me this is not in my contract. I called teh local store to obtain the technician's contact number and he has not returned ANY of my texts or calls. $250 down the drain on my end for not exercising due diligence. I was in the store twice this week. I was in to check out mobile phones. I came back to make the purchase. Both times I was greeted. The first time I was shown around at the things I told them I was looking to buy. The second trip in I was remembered. I purchased the phone and accessories we had talked about days before. They even transferred everything off my old phone. This is something my phone carrier has stopped doing! This Best Buy is amazing! They exceeded all my expectations! read more

Worst Experience Ever! Purchased a new Ogio book bag for $149.99 in the store, got home and did some research and learned i had payed top dollar for this item. Most retailers had it listed between $119.99-$129.99. I figured since i spend thousands of dollars there every year that they might price match this item. Brandon Johnson (Store Mgr) walked over to the cashier that said she would be more than happy to match it but had to get a Mgr...Brandon then looked it over on the other websites and said I'm not matching that and walked away. I then followed him to ask him his name and why he was not matching this item (That's their policy/ not mine) ..he then turned to me and said the name is Brandon, Brandon Johnson if you need the full name and then proceeded to walk away again. I just cant believe the customer service i was given. Brandon Johnson is not Mgr worthy... i will never be using best buy again and I'm closing My best Buy account as we speak! read more

I have had very positive experiences with the employees;however, I do find it impossible to phone the store,for no one will answer.

I have purchased about every model of Fitbit and always get the Geek protection. I've had to use it a few times and never any hassle. I used the coverage recently with the Surge, again no problem. I went home and while setting it up online I saw Fitbit had released a new device. I ran back to Best Buy right before closing and asked it I could exchange it for the Blaze. Again, no hassle. Customer service had someone on the floor aasiat, and I had my new device, and refunded difference between the Surge and Blaze, and out the door as they were closing. The only negative comment about this store is that my daughter and I had a long wait when buying a cell phone. They appeared to be understaffed in that department. read more

we bought a computer for our shop, and a sales associate talked me into buying total tech support. the 1st time i had a problem i called, was on hold for 20 mins until i got someone who could not speak english, he hung up on me. the 2nd time i got to someone named precious who was more interested in joking around with someone in her call center. she was stupid and rude with me. so unsatisfied is totally an understatment. guess i wont be shopping there again. read more
