In all fairness, I'm giving equal time for a 'five star' experience purchasing a TV. The last one I bought was 2015 when the Panthers went to the SB, time for an upgrade. This is the time of year when retail puts theirs on SB sale. I used the Consumer Report website to check out the ratings and knew what I wanted. It was simply a matter of finding it in stock and the best price. I talked with a young man named Douglas. He is the TV pro and has been working TV's at BB for eight years and he knows his stuff. The purchase process and delivery was great. The use of their web site was not but I'm not going to ding Douglas for that poor experience. I even called BB Customer Service and they were about as helpful as a box of rocks. I really liked that they have a app that allows you to track the delivery real-time and it worked! I bought a pair of Beats by Dre in December. I have had them repaired twice and today took them back for a third time after only having been repaired 60 days ago. They would not help me. I wasn't looking for a refund. Only needed a pair of headphones that were worth the $200 I paid for them and $50 in repairs in the last year. I have apple care Insurance and everything. If they couldn't help me with my beats why waist my time with even allowing me to set an appointment. It started with a greeting from one of the two people at the door. The young man informed us that the young woman next to him will be helping us, to which she said no with disgust in her voice. So, we told her just stay where she was because if she didn't want to do her job, we didn't want her to help us anyway. The young man that did come over to help us tried to be helpful but he didn't know many of the store discounts offered. Once we decided on our purchase, we needed the Geek Squad to help us and even though a few were doing nothing they said we needed to make an appointment. I walked over to make the appointment just to have the young man walk away from me to ask my wife questions.... I was the one making the appointment. Ordered a stove and waited for delivery. Installers who were not Best Buy employees were amazing. The stove was defective. I called to get a replacement. I was given different information by different people. Finally said it would be 2 and a half weeks. My old stove had been removed. I said I want a return pick up and a refund. I have nothing to cook on. Right now I have been waiting since 7 am for them to come. Smaller Best Buy than most in the area but they make up for it in service. I knew it was coming and I knew that the most current SD card was running out of space but kept putting off getting another one. Today was the point where I had to get an new one. I like the 32 Gbt SD drives because of a goodly amount of storage (4k plus files) and the computer sorts them with ease. Anything greater and the computer search bogs down. Simple purchase and I walk in and looking around, it's a different lay out than I am familiar with. Guy running security looks at me and asks, can I help you and he immediately direct me in the right direction. Get to the area and someone elsecomes up and leads me to directly where I want to be. Number of offerings for the SD Card that I needed were limited to three or four but that is more than enough and at a reasonable price. Found what I wanted and checked out in record time. Total time in the store was less than 10 minutes and with a single goal in mind, that was more than adequate. Next time will do a bit of exploring. read more

Worst experience I have ever had trying to purchase a phone. I called to confirm the phone I had was in stock before driving down there. They confirmed it was, but told me to order it over the phone first even though i said i wanted to pay it monthly with my phone bill and would not be charged in full. I got there and there was one phone left. The associate took my old sim card and began forcing it into the new phone (not sure why this was necessary), rather than getting help from someone that knew what they were doing. They ended up having to break the last new phone to get my sim card out and said the phone was defective. After spending almost an hour I left with no phone, no apology, not given any other option and was told I would be refunded in a couple days for the $900 phone I was told I would not have to pay for on the front end. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANY MAJOR APPLIANCES FROM Best Buy...(please read all) One of the worst mistakes I've made is purchasing a major appliance from Best Buy. I made the mistake of purchasing a General Electric dryer from here in the summer of 2020. Within a couple of months I was already experiencing issues and had to have it replaced. Once replaced, it worked okay (still would not recommend) until last summer 2022 when the motherboard had to be replaced due to the clothes not drying and the dryer just turning off mid cycle. Again not the best dryer because it would leave lots of lint on the clothes even though I cleaned out the lint filter ever time I ran a cycle. I purchased the Geek Squad protection plan on the initial dryer, and thank God I did--otherwise the repairs would have been out of pocket. Well February of this year (2023) the dryer caught on fire causing a house fire, as I live in an apartment and the unit is inside. Thankfully, there was no damage to the structure of the apartment other than smoke damage. However, the dryer was, of course, completely destroyed and all the clothes inside. Not to mention due to the smoke damage, I had to replace my brand new couch and loveseat as well as my mattress. Due to having to have the apartment and clothes cleaned, I was displaced in a hotel for three weeks. Again, I am so thankful that no one was hurt or I did not lose all of my clothing and that I purchased the protection plan (warranty) on the dryer initially. After filing a claim, Best Buy sent out a technician to check and see if the dryer could be repaired (which it could not) and then somewhat assisted in the process of finding a new dryer because they no longer sell that dryer model. I found a dryer and purchased the new one on March 26th. It was supposed to arrive April 15th. I made arrangements so that someone would be there so that I could get the dryer ASAP. I received a called the day prior telling me what time frame it would arrive. Then later that day (April 14th), I received a second call saying that it would not be delivered on the 15th because they did not have it and would not have it until what appears to be May 1st. I asked if I could cancel my order and find something else and was told an customer advocacy representative would contact me to help find something comparable. I was contacted by Gladys (the Customer Advocacy Personnel). Gladys was extremely unhelpful. She had a hard time understanding what I was asking and continued repeating herself. I asked her to help me find something comparable as I could not afford to wait another two weeks. Gladys found another dryer that could be delivered on April 18th, but there was $100 difference. I asked if this could be compensated given the inconvenience of the entire situation. To which she said she would have to get approval. Best Buy would not approve the difference. I even asked to speak with her supervisor, and she told me I could not do so. I have spent so much money on replacing things due to the fire, including this dryer. (The entire cost of the new dryer was not covered by the warranty.) I have also spent money on going to a laundromat when I have paid to have a washer and dryer in my home. BEST BUY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! I highly recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

First of all let me begin by saying that I purchased a 50 inch TV online on 3/27/23. I was worried that if I had the TV shipped to my home the likeliness of it being damaged would be much greater than picking it up from the store. Well I picked the TV up on 4/08/23 using their curbside pick up. I purchased the TV for a second room so I didn't quickly open it. Nevertheless; I finally opened it to inspect it and ensure that I had a working. undamaged TV. To my surprise the TV screen was cracked. It was evident before I even had the opportunity to plug it in. I opened my Best Buy app to initiate a return and learned that I was only given the opportunity to return the TV by for 04/23. I called customer service they were not helpful AT ALL. I explained that I'm partially disabled and the return window may not be sufficient because the TV I purchased was only available online. I was now going to have to enter the store (with limited mobility) to locate a replacement or get a refund within a matter of days. The unsympathetic CS rep didn't offer any extension on the return deadline. It makes no sense for the return window to begin the day you purchase an item if you don't have it in your possession. BEST BUY!!! MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!! As I mentally prepare for this spur of the moment, painful stroll into Best Buy please be cautious if you decide to purchase from them. read more

Many people are thrilled to upgrade to an updated iPhone . I am not real tech savvy and was nervous with learning something new. I was expecting poor service and very limited supply......I was pleasantly surprised. I went in for a new Harmony remote, they had plenty on the shelf. A sales guy was helping another customer next to me and he seemed to have limited knowledge so I was hoping not to get him as I had some questions. After maybe 5 mins I was approached by a female associate who was knowledgeable and professional. She reallly helped me make my decision on which remote to get. It's been 3 weeks now and the remote is working great. This was a great experience. I will go here again when I need electronics. Best Buy at this location has in general helpful employees. I've just had issues with one employee two separate times. The first time, my boyfriend and I were looking at specs for a desktop PC. The employee named Linda came over and asked us if we needed help, and we said "yes". We explained what we were looking for and she briefly looked over the sign that was in front of us, and said something off hand about what we could already read, and left. We were deciding between two PCs, and I went to go find her again since no one else was around. She was glued to her phone and I was standing in front of her and another co-worker who I assume was a manager. He finally got her attention and told her to go help me. She took another minute to look at her phone again and proceeded to put it away as I was standing there watching. The second time we bought a computer from this location, the same employee named Linda walked over to us and asked if we needed help. We said no, and then a second later we said "wait actually"- but she had already walked away. We found another employee who was super helpful named Corey. He got us the laptop right away and answered all of our questions. As he was ringing up our purchase, Linda walked by and said, "I told you guys to wait!" and told Corey that we were her sale (and had him put her number into the computer), even though she did not help us at all and had not told us to wait for her. We just wanted to get in and out so we didn't say anything. I later called the manager and explained everything to him. read more

I would give it 0 starts but system wont allow me. I purchased a $1500 laptop and when checking out was asked the typical " you can save 10% if you apply for a credit card and use it for todays purchase." Due to the value of my purchase I went ahead and got a credit card so I could save the $150 and was told the credit card was 0% interest for 12 months. When I went to pay for my purchase , the credit was never applied and when I asked about it I was then told I had to wait 2 weeks for a 10% Reward check from Best Buy ( wasn't discussed when I applied, I was told I would save 10% that day) Weeks went by and I never got the Reward Check. When I called Best Buy they told me I would not get 10% back because I chose 0% interest for 12 months. At this point I have a credit card that I feel I was scammed into ( I was prepared to pay cash for my purchase that day and only received the credit card because I was told I was getting 10% off AND it was 0% for 12 months). Corporate said they would look into it and "see what they could do" after I was transferred 6 times and that I would hear back in 5-7 days. 3 weeks have went by and I still have no resolve, they only say "your case is open and we're backed up". Do NOT open a card with this business for any discounts as they are using fraudulent statements to get you to sign up and then are not holding their end of the deal up. read more
