‍Langley Police Attended to help me, thankfully, Dishonest…read moreCustomer Service, Faulty Workmanship- Ruined Apple IPad. Issue was the screen button would take 2-3 presses to turn on screen. Took it for service to "Discount Phone Repair" (Lucky Mobile) at 20285 56th Avenue, Langley on September 18 2020, spoke with a service tech. He said button could not be repaired Or replaced, instead needed a entire new glass window. After he installed the new glass, My IPad became useless, racing and typing on its own! Utter Malfunctioning to say the least. I took it back to the store, showing them a video I took on my phone of it typing on its own at fast speed. Although they acknowledged their repair, they would not fix it without the receipt. I said " you must have on on file here" insisted I bring my receipt. Went home and searched....contacted my Credit Card Company for highlighted charge on my statement, blocking out e- relevant other statement information. Took the printed statement to the store " 18SEP/19SEP DISCOUNT PHONE REPAIR LANGLEY BC $100.80" The Store refused it, saying they need to see my entire credit card statement that is "privacy infringement" to hand over my entire statement to them. I said you have a copy on file, why don't you look it up? Said they don't have time for that. I said you should fix it, how do I get you to fix it? You can't just leave it like this. Told me to leave the store or they will call Police. Wow, I was blindsided by the arrogance and utter rudeness. I went outside and phoned police myself. *Grateful Police attended, I explained to officer what I have been going through, and showed my CC Receipt. Officer went inside store and talked to them, came out and asked me to go inside. * Strange, miraculously that they found their copy of my receipt order, but it took Police attendance. Store offered me $50 refund, saying that's if you don't put a review about us. I said "full refund as IPad is not working now," I said I will not write a review if you refund in full as I now have to have it repaired somewhere else. Store refunded only $50, it's my right to review a Business to warn others. I am currently going to have my Apple IPad examined thoroughly for Liability report by examining what Discount Phone Repair did to achieve ruining my IPad. They chose this path, not me.

Unfortunately, the aftermarket screen they put on my iPhone 8 Plus was buggy. It would work fine in…read morethe warm house but as soon as I went outside and the screen got at all cold it would stop reliably responding to touch. I would have to warm up the phone and even then it was unreliable. This had never been a problem with my original screen. I brought my phone back to the shop and they put my old screen back on, which was much appreciated, however they would not return all of my money. They kept all of the tax I had paid (about $12) and told me to calm down when I asked them for all of my money back. I was not raising my voice at all but it was pretty clear I was not impressed. Then they told me it was only fair they could keep the taxes I had paid for their labour, despite the fact that the screen they had put on was not working properly. I took the phone elsewhere and had the screen replaced with a better quality screen and now it works just fine. I would not recommend this store. It is a bit cheaper for a reason.

I have had nothing but trouble since going to this store and now I'm stuck with terrible contracts…read morethat keep changing due to the incompetence of the employees at this store and the one on Broadway. I moved here from the US and my husband and I went to the store to get Fido plans since we were told they were the cheapest. I brought my expensive iPhone and my husband had a phone and they gave us two phone numbers but assigned the wrong phone to the wrong phone number. We were told they had to do this and it wouldn't be a problem since after saying my phone would be fine they said it actually wouldn't and I needed to buy a new phone with a contract. Fast forward a few months when my husband needs a new phone... they changed my phone's plan and not his and gave him unlimited everything and suddenly I had minutes and overages and they said they can't swap them despite it being their mistake in the beginning. The staff move around so Kevin was no longer at this store and working at the Broadway one. The guy at this store said he couldn't do anything, told me not even to come back, and to deal with Kevin. Kevin supposedly was calling me but I got no calls or voicemail. I got in touch with Kevin at the other store and he keeps saying he can't do anything but got his manager to approve a credit for the extra amount each month to up my plan to unlimited minutes and for the $76 in overages. I call Fido and they have no idea any of this is going on, but even they said I should go to the store first when the problem happened with my husband changing my plan. But after all these problems at the store, I reached out to someone again that was like "I can change your plan no problem" for the same amount. But they couldn't cover the overages. So I decided to take the credit and wait to change my plan. Kevin has changed my plan again, I have no record to see anything. He reduced my data to 3 gigs. I can't see anything. No contracts sent to me, no proof I have any credit, at this point it is a constant whirlwind as I don't have time to deal with all this with a toddler. So in short, don't go to these stores. Call Fido and have them mail you a phone. All these stores are doing is selling phones and they don't care about you, will be rude, won't be there the next day if you do get a nice person, and Fido doesn't seem to know anything about what is happening. They told me you can order phones online so if you have time don't go into these stores. I'm still insecure about handing over my last phone and not trusting them to wipe it out. I have spent a fortune at these stores now all for terrible contracts I have no idea about since I don't even have a copy of the recent changes and it's a full time job trying to manage how screwed I am getting.
