Dawit assists with the phones, he is very patient with us, we are Seniors and have almost zero skills or understanding of the cell phone. If I could give a zero I would. i've been in multiple times to try and buy an iPad and set up. Each time staff has been extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming. They won't come up and help you, but you will see them flirting with each other in the corner. Finally when you flag went down, they seem like they would rather be anywhere else than helping you . They contradict each other each saying different things about a product I wanted to buy and I was left thoroughly confused. Horrible experience. read more

I have shopped at Best Buy for years . I liked the fact that the have my receipts on file for quick and easy return process . I had bought several products and the "protection" . Since I've been verbally abused for being ADHD . They stole my iPad Pro along with other devices at store level . Followed me to another Best Buy and stole my phone so I wouldn't be able to make a return . Their customer service is really awful. I dropped off my computer that had a warranty and we were specific to say that my number on file has been disconnected and for them to call my cell. We even left my dad's number in case they cannot reach me. Well what do they do? Spend two weeks calling the number that was disconnected. So they did NOTHING on my computer for two weeks. I am now into my fourth week without my computer. Every time I call the store, nobody bloody well answers the phone. I have spent the last hour continually hitting #4 to get someone. This is a complete waste of my time. I just wanted to find out the status of my computer. I even tried to contact the Geek Squad chat, but that was a waste because apparently they don't have that info. Just another reminder why I have stopped buying big electronics from Best Buy. Really terrible customer service. Don't even get me started when I bought an iPhone from them. Just not worth the headache. I just want to know what is happening with my computer. Today I went in to simply see if I could fix my phone, and from the moment I got there to the minute I left, the boy working on counter was so incredibly rude, to a point where he made me cry (I have anxiety, and the way he was talking to me made me upset). He was clearly getting frustrated with me because I was trying to look for the information on my phone, it was like he expected me to know it at the top of my head. #lifeatbestbuy Here's a Christmas story for all you hard working Canadians who are planning on shopping at Best Buy.. My husband and I bought a TV from them, and sprung for the extended warranty, because it had a "lemon policy" that stated that if the TV had to be fixed four times, epwe would have the product replaced. Guess what? Ours was a lemon. The motherboard broke four times, all within the warranty period. When it broke the fourth time, I called and told Best Buy that I wanted the TV replaced. The person who was on the phone with me, spoke to a manager, then told me that the management would call me on the following Wednesday and give me the particulars about how we would get the new television. Wednesday came and went without anyone contacting me. I called again. Again, I was promised that I would receive a call from management. No call. The person on the phone then rewrote everything in the case file, to update it, claiming that they had no record of the fourth service call. At that point, I started to think I was going insane, so I contacted the repair company to verify that they had, indeed repaired it four times. Yes, they had. I was again not contacted, so I called again, furious. I refused to get off the phone until I had a manager on the line. The woman who was on the phone told me that a manager would only be available in an hour. I was put off, and again, got no call. So, I went online and asked for advice on how to deal with this infuriating, unethical, dishonest company. I was told to go public with my story. I posted everything that had happened on the Best Buy Facebook page. Someone contacted me and asked for my information, stating that the situation would be resolved to my satisfaction. I sent the information, and actually received a phone call. It wasn't a manager, though, and I was told again, that a manager would contact me this afternoon, before 7pm, as they had to verify that the TV had had the 4 service calls, and the repair company wasn't open until Monday. It is now 7:42pm. No call, no satisfaction. I just wanted to warn anyone considering buying from this company that these people are unethical, dishonest, cheaters. Lied to me about there rewards program and how many points I would get for gaming accessories when I signed up. When I contacted them about my issue via email asking them about it then proceeded to lock my rewards program. Then I had to call to get it unlocked. They blamed me for it getting locked. Then before I could even attempt to log in they locked my account again. Thenot proceeded to give me less then the basic points per dollar spent. And not give me the gaming accessories bonus points based off of technicalities that are not stated in there terms and services. This companie will lied to you to get your business then not care how they treat u once the return period of ur purchase is over. read more

Only gotten worse since my last review. They cant even enter simple rewards zone points right even though i made multiple purchases every year my account is now inactive because of this location all other locations would actually enter them right but since i stopped going to other best buys I have lost all my points worth over $1000! Its to bad future shop shut down and now we are forced to shop here. If any other competitor comes to this city i would instantly go to them instead. This store has the worst management like I mentioned in my original review and they have only gotten worse they cant even get accurate times for when stock will be in, it isnt in till 3-4 weeks later than the date they give you and each day they tell you to wait one more day, on top of that they cant respond on the phone properly they seem to distracted and ininterseted it makes me want to cancle my order. read more

The selection in this store is so bare bones. No Amiibo selection, dvd/bluray shelves are almost empty, and the prices are pretty bleh. Staff will help if you ask but will really only acknowledge you when you enter and before you leave. read more

We went in to purchase a new laptop for our daughter, a Windows university pack, a GoPro 3+ Black, and a special edition Nintendo DS. We walked around the computer section for several minutes looking for anyone. I eventually started saying hello? hello?? Found two staff members in the camera section talking to someone. We said forget this and went to Futureshop. Then spent over $1400. I contacted their customer service where the reply I got back was..."We are sorry you experienced this at our store. We will use this as a future training too." I sent another email and didn't receive a response at all. Best Buy in Abbotsford is horrible. No staff, poor customer service in-store and on-line, and just all around not a place I will spend my money in. read more

It amazes me that this store is still in business, every time I go there I leave mad, today was another day I went there with the intention of buying a computer they have on sale for 1,499 dollars. It was verily early and store was not busy, but I still had literally 7 sales staff walk by me without any acknowledgement, I finally grabbed one guy who said he would get me some one, 10 minutes went buy with more staff totally ignoring me, so I walked out. Terrible service, no regard for customers that need help. Employees stand around talking to each other and don't even bother to help customers. When you do find someone to help, they have no knowledge of the items and can never find the person that may know a thing or two. You yourself probably would know more and could learn more with a quick Google search while the employee stands their scratching their head. Never have enough employees working either, or maybe they do and they're all just hiding in the back doing nothing aka on their personal cell phones. read more

I brought in a HP laptop that was just out of warranty. It had a jumping cursor problem and I thought the Geek squad might be able to fix it, so I don't have to do it. I trouble shot the problem before I brought it in to make sure the problem was with the touch-pad and nothing else. Among other things, I had even reformatted the HDD and reinstalled the original drivers. I gave all that info to the geek squad guys. I also told them that in an attempt to narrow down the problem, I had physically disconnected the touch-pad and used an external mouse instead, and that the problem was gone after that, which means it is the touch-pad that has issues. Geek Squad assured me that after paying 66$ (incl.tax) they would diagnose the issue again and get back to me in 3 business days. 3 WEEKS later!!! they got back to me and said that the problem is due to a hard drive failure and that they would put in a new one for 250$. I told them that this was a bunch of BS and asked them to ship the unit back un-repaired. When the computer came back, they gave me "proof" in form of a photograph they had taken of my laptop. The photo showed that they were running a diagnostics utility and that it said there was a read error on the HDD!!! --- A read error on a HDD, --- and they wanted to sell me a new one but totally ignored the problem that I brought my computer in for originally? I couldn't believe it. I started up the computer and everything was fine. At home, when I ran a disk utility, I simply had the utility mark the bad sector where the read error occurred and everything was fine. I am now fixing the touch-pad myself and never again bringing anything to Geed Squad. Their computer knowledge is mediocre at best and if they can't fix something they come up with outrageous suggestions like replacing the hard drive because their diagnostic utility found one small read error. In my mind they are nothing but unscrupulous cutthroats that will screw you for your money. But beyond running virus scans and maybe replacing a hard drive or memory, they are quite incompetent. read more

Today is Boxing Day. We went to look at Best Buy in Abbotsford for a Cannon SX700 (30x zoom) which we had found at the Mission London Drugs advertised for $279.99. Unfortunately, they were out of stock, but agreed to provide us with one at that price when they come in prior to January 8th. We had hoped to get the camera today, so headed out to Best Buy in Abbotsford. After the 20 minute drive, 10 minutes to find a parking spot, we went up the escalator to read a sign at the top which indicated Best Buy would match prices with anywhere else. WRONG!! When we got inside and they had a Cannon SX700 in stock, we were told that they DID NOT MATCH PRICES TODAY!! We are wondering on what day they do match prices? This was our first experience with this store. Very unimpressed. Then when we reached home and tried to phone to talk to the manager and explain our displeasure and ask what he/she intended to do about it, after 10 minutes of trying to get through, no one was answering extensions. Hence, this post. Seemed like this was a waste of time for us. Very frustrating when you see the product you want at a price $100.00 more than advertised elsewhere and they refuse to honour their advertisement at the front of the store. I have shopped here often and even though I do love that you can reserve what you want online I'm not happy with this Best Buy anymore first thing, I went to buy a camera waited 20 minutes for the lady to finish talking to a customer than an older woman came to wait the lady was done talking so I asked for the camera she replied you will have to wait I have to help a customer and helped the older lady that came 20 minutes after me i found her to be rude anyways but after waiting that long it's bad to take someone who just came to wait over the one who was waiting longer than say I have to help a customer ( like I'm not a customer) another time I bought a tablet and gave the cashier my points card he didn't scan it so I asked him to he replied I can't now you have to call and ask to get the points kinda annoyed me that he ignored my card than wouldn't give me my points, second I reserved an iPhone case when I got home took it out and it was used all scratched up with an old receipt in the box I figured they wouldn't return it and would blame me for all the scratches but I kept shopping there until now I was trying to buy a laptop a week ago went everywhere no one had stock I went here found a good deal and asked to buy it, the girl went to get it came back and said sorry we dont have any so I thanked her and ended up getting one elsewhere but I kinda had a feeling she was wrong so I went online and found the laptop I tried to buy and reserved it, guess what 20 minutes later I had an email saying the laptop was ready for pick up, that has ended it for me because she told me they didn't have it and they did so I spent the rest of my day searching when it was there the whole time, they don't care enough about their customers to go on their computer to check inventory after not seeing stock, most places do that and more I've had stores look and tell me other locations that have stock if they don't, but Best Buy didn't even bother to check their inventory. We bought a receiver at the Abbotsford store and have nothing but problems with it. We bought the extended warranty when we purchased it as it was a higher end brand and model so wanted to make sure we were covered. The receiver has been sent back for repair 5 times now and it has not been fixed nor will they refund our money. We were originally told that after 3 times they would either refund our money or give us an in store credit. At the forth go round they told us it had to go under go a major repair 3 times before that happens and that the people they sent it to couldn't find anything wrong with it 2 out of the 4 times so just simply shipped it back. It was hooked back up and we had problems again so back to them to ship off to the repair shop. Again we found out that there was no repair done, the repair shop has had this thing more than we have! So now they have had it from us 5 times and only twice was anything fixed... I even emailed the store pictures of a problem and still they won't give us our refund or credit. At what point does this store deal with their warranty partner and take a very frustrated customer out of the equation? We have demanded our refund and instead received a call telling us that they want to come to our house and hook it up for us. We told them NO! We had them install it here to begin with so what good is that going to do?! We have gone to another store who will back their products and purchased a brand new receiver so we would have it to help us entertain over the holiday season. We are taking our complaint to Best Buy's head office in hopes that someone will help us get back our $700.00. We WOULD NOT recommend purchasing an extended warranty here as it simply cost you money and you get nothing in return. If the repair shop would hook it up and run it for more than several minutes they might be able to duplicate the problem but obviously that is not happening. We are very disappointed with this store and managers, so much for customer service, they have not listened to a thing we have said and just do not care. read more
