The quality of their work is great. I have no complaints there. It's their pricing that annoys me. One day I bring in a pair of cargo pants to have hemmed and I get charged $15 each. I was ok with that. The next time I bring in a pair jeans to also have hemmed. I get charged $10 each. They tell me jeans are only $10. So I'm like, ok cool! The next time I bring another pair of jeans the same as the last ones then I get charged $15. I was like, wait I was only charged $10 last time and the lady tells me these jeans are wider so they cost another $5 to hem. Are you serious?! They need to make their customers aware of their pricing structure based on materials, sizing, etc. Apparently they all differ. read more

I am so thankful I found this place because when we had our wedding last December,my reception dress was too long and arrived late since it was from an onlike store in the UK! I went and asked if I coud just get the bottom part hemmed since I was a week out from the wedding and the wonderful lady (i think the owner) recommended we hem from the the middle so that the torso wouldn't look too long. I was looking for an alteration spot to get my daughter and I's dresses shortened in less than a week for my daughters debut (18th bday). Thankfully, Best 1 Alterations was around my neighborhood and were able to see us the same day. Very sweet family owned business. My daughters gown had 5 different layers of fabric and needed to shorten up the length because it was really long. My dress was also long and I asked to get the shoulder pieces tightened because it kept falling off. Our requests were super simple for her to fix. She quickly measured both of us with the shoes we planned to wear and that was it. The quality of the work was great. Every seam was perfectly straight and the alterations looked as if they were done by the original designer. The prices were also very reasonable. I paid about $110 for my daughters gown and $70ish for mines, total $185 for both. This was my first time getting alterations and it was really nice to have a piece of clothing fit perfectly to your body than just wearing the item how you purchased it knowing it's loose or long. These ladies are phenomenal! They do great, fast, quality work and saved the day - twice! After flying in from SJ to Vegas, searching on Yelp and calling around, they confirmed that they were able to press 6 multiple piece suits for my son's wedding for pick up the next day when I dropped them off late Thursday morning. Well, I wasn't happy with my own dress - it needed something. I found blingy ribbon/trim to add to it, but didn't have the time, expertise, or skill to do it myself. I went back to pick up the suits which were ready/perfectly pressed & ready to wear, and took my dress & the ribbon on Friday (day before wedding) to show them what I was working with and to explain my vision to them - hoping the seamstress could do it. Despite being crazy busy, she could do it & have it ready the next day hours before the wedding- I was elated! Saturday morning my dress was ready and looked exactly like I had envisioned. The quality of the seamstress' work was fantastic as well - it did not look crappy or like a last minute rush job - it looked like the dress was made that way. And I received endless compliments :) They saved the day twice, and their prices were very reasonable! I couldn't be happier! This place was highly suggested by multiple people, so I brought in a bridesmaid dress I needed altered for a wedding this weekend. There were three things I needed fixed with my dress: 1. The gown was too long even with heels so that needed to be taken in a few of inches. 2. This dress did not have adjustable straps, and they were too long for my frame so I needed those to be shortened. 3. The side of the bust- this also needed to be taken in just a bit to offer more support since I cannot wear a bra with this dress (it's backless and low cut) I dropped the dress off on Thursday, May 9 and was told it would be ready by Monday, May 20th. Total cost was $95, which I paid that day. I thought the price was a big high, but I needed it done & since I heard great reviews I was willing to pay. When I picked it up, the lady at the front desk gave me my dress that was wrapped up on a hanger & said have a good day. I tried on the dress when I got home, but unfortunately the dress was not to my standards. 1. The dress was hemmed unevenly; it showing my feet (which I explicitly said I did not want at the fitting). Also, one side of the dress was slightly longer than the other. I wore the same heels during my try on so I'm not sure why this happened. I got the opinion from multiple people to make sure I wasn't nitpicking- but they all noticed the unevenness right away. 2. The straps were great- no complaints there. 3. The side of my bust was bunching on my left side, while the right side looked fine. Pictures added for reference. I called the location to express my concerns, and asked for a partial refund since I was not fully satisfied with the outcome. She said that they would not be able provide a refund, but offered to fix it if I brought it in. While the bust can possible be fixed, the length of the free cannot be. It is too short, and it's not like she can add fabric to it. Overall, I was not pleased with the quality of service, as well as how they offered to rectify the situation. You would think that a business with such good rating could at least account for their actions. Before I came a few weeks ago, I called in advance to make sure I didn't need a reservation to get my prom dress altered. They picked up pretty fast and sounded pretty nice. When I get there, the ladies were so friendly. They also greeted us when we came in (which is sometimes rare). I only expected to pay $40-45 because there wasn't much to be done, as I only needed alterations to be done at the TOP. She ended up charging me $65, but I didn't mine because they were so friendly before.. She kept INSISTING to alter the bottom though we consistently told her no, because we liked the effects it gave. She even wrote it down on my receipt. However, she went behind our backs and stuck a pin at the tail of my dress. So when we went to pick it up today, it was noticeably shorter. I'm only 4'11 and I was wearing tennis shoes. We knew something was wrong. We asked the lady if she altered the dress at the bottom and she repeatedly LIED to our faces and looked us DEAD in the eye. You could LOOK at the seams and tell by the unleveled and repetitive stitching that it has been tampered with. Unsatisfied, we had to ask for the refund. I've been looking for a new alterations shop for a while after my previous place had to close. I brought in a jumpsuit that has a liner. Cost for alterations was $30. I decided to bring a second jumpsuit without a liner. Cost was $15. I asked for a turnaround time of 4 days for an event on the weekend. They were able to accommodate. The alterations are great. It's a family business. The business is in a strip mall. There is a good amount of parking in the lot. They stay busy. Highly recommend this place! read more

So happy I found this place by accident. It's quite hidden all the way up Fort Apache & past warm springs if you are headed south, nestled in the same plaza as Chevron. I had 2 dresses to be hemmed & brought my heels just in case. I walked in & they were able to see me right away to assess any adjustments. Thank goodness I brought my heels to see my height in the dress & how long the dresses needed to be hemmed. They do have some shoes in the fitting room, but no more than an inch or two (plus it may not fit your shoe size). I only expected the bottom of the dresses to be hemmed but the woman who helped me saw that the straps of one of my dresses were too long & that the front didn't fit me so well. She made a few pins & asked if I liked the feel of the dress more. I did! I didn't even think of it & it was perfect. She jotted down the prices on the ticket & notified me of the price. They both came down to about $100 all together. It was a fair price. She didn't have me pay just yet & informed me I can pay when I pick it up. I just gave a date of 1 week since I needed to use the dresses fairly quickly. The next week I came in, I gave my ticket with my name & they easily found my dress, had me try it on to see if I was happy with the fit, & then pay. Organized, efficient, quality work! My fiancé found this place for me to go and get some of my work uniform pieces altered. I only needed 2 dress skirts hemmed a few inches shorter and one of them had an inner lining. They said they could have it ready in a week as I was in no rush at all to get them back lol. I actually ended up picking it up 2 weeks late (oops) but they were able to find my skirts quickly. Update 8/22/22 I've now brought them SOOO many tops, dresses, gowns, and even my wedding dress! Everything is PERFECTION every...single....time! The ladies have now perfected the way I like my clothes! We still don't know each other's names (language barrier) but they remember my face and body. The moment I put on anything, they know to pinch it to my every curve...well whatever little curve I have. I'm sooo petite nothing ever fits the way it should. Price is reasonable. Sometimes I pay more for the alterations than what I paid for the actual article of clothing and it can be cringey at times, but when I come back and try everything on, it's worth every penny. I was charged $150 for a dress alteration for a wedding guest dress and it wasn't done properly AND I received it completely wrinkled.
