I've had almost the entire menu over the years, but my favorite is the simple sliced turkey, with lettuce, tomato (which I opt out of sometimes just because I'm not a huge tomato on a sandwich guy, unless it's an actual tomato sandwich...), onion, and then I ask to add their garlic mayo and banana peppers, and sometimes jalapeños. Their turkey club is a second favorite if I'm craving bacon on my sandwich (they also have a jalapeño bacon!). Their other deli sandwiches are great, like the original with a mix of luncheon and other deli meats. I love their lesser known meatball sandwich and cheeseburger. My wife's favorite is the pastrami. The staff at Alvin Ord's are some of the nicest folks I've met in the restaurant industry, and they're always super helpful to new and old customers alike. Unfortunately, I was surprised to watch the employee bagging my order without wearing gloves, a huge hygiene concern. When I was able to try the bagels, I was surprised at the quality; the bagels were not cooked thoroughly and were raw in the middle. Due to these issues with sanitation and food quality, I will be finding a new bagel shop and suggest you do too.
