I made a special request on a delivery, a stackable washer and dryer. it was to exclude the 500 lbs. delivery person as I was afraid he would injure himself on my property and/or damage my property. I spoke to the owner at length on this, to include cancelling the first delivery date so that he could accommodate this request. The owner pushed back at this request originally, but ultimately acquiesced; even saying he would have to deliver it himself. Today, the appliances and delivery crew arrive which included the excluded delivery person, one of a two man crew. I should've refused delivery. I immediately called the owner to express my displeasure, and his response is "I forgot, sorry.". I start expressing my displeasure in no uncertain terms and he states, "I'm sorry, you've never made a mistake?" "What do you want me to do about it?" This was not a mistake, he purposely refused to accommodate a customer's request, violating the most basic customer service premise. And to compound it by lying has sent me off the deep end. If he had said there were no other choices on delivery personnel, I would have gone somewhere else. And he knew that, which is why he was deceptive. And this was not the only problem with this transaction. No call back, the order went to back order for a month with no notification from the business. Two stars because delivery person Jeremy was capable, the other guy was literally on the verge of a coronary, and he wasn't even doing much. I bought an entire kitchen from this business previously (previous owner), and my only recourse is to never do business with this owner again. And what makes matters worse? I want to do business with local businesses----but my experience doing so, to include this guy, is they don't employ good business practices, this interaction as an example----very disappointing! read more

I went in to Besko a few weeks ago thinking I was going to have buy a new Sub Zero. They talked me into letting them come and service one of my existing SZ's and insisted I did not have to buy a new one that they last for 30 years. Vinny came out and was awesome and now I'm good to go without having to buy a new SZ. They saved me 9k!!! He even put booties over his shoes before entering my home. That's the type of service you expect and they deliver. Can't say enough good things about them. read more

Looks like Denise Besko is hitting the old bottle again, makes calls in a drunken stooper, looks like he just rolled out of bed, not good guys. Been hearing from my circle of friends that when he was on a call, the homeowner were having a glass of wine and Denise asked if he could have one, after two he went to use the bathroom and found him passed out on the floor, LOL, the customers had to drive him home. Another one said when he came in with his hand truck, he was drunk again and lost his balance and scratched a newly installed floor and wouldnt own up to it. They kicked him out. My experience with him last summer was the guy he said would install our ac wall unit never showed up. He was then supposed to come next day and still a no show, no calls or nothing. Had to get our own installer. read more

First off, I was surprised when driving in this residential area to arrive at Besko which is headquartered in the basement of their home! The showroom is approx 200 square feet with very few models on display. We heard about Besko by word of mouth because we were looking for an appliance model that is not offered in Loews, Sears, Home Depot or the traditional area retailers. Our experience was less than stellar and that is being GENEROUS. To their credit,they had the make and model we wanted to buy, however their customer service leaves little to be desired. The proprietor is unhelpful, and down ride rude. When spending top dollar, we expected 1) to receive an item that was not damaged 2) to have our phone calls returned 3) an apology for the error. Instead, we were met with belligerence, defensiveness, harassment, and poor customer service. In this area, one's reputation is king. I suggest that the owners think twice (maybe even 3x) about how they talk to their customers, how they treat their customers and how they handle THEIR mistakes. read more

I previously was pretty happy with the man who came here to fix my dryer. Seemed very knowledgeable and fixed my dyer fast and cheap so naturally I called on Besko again when my dryer went a year or two later. However, not such great service second time. I was charged $300 + for my washing machine front load . The rubber part in front got caught up in the machine and they came to fix it for me. I was told to tell them what parts were messed up - the only visible things I could see were the rubber part. I was told that the price was going to be certain amount but that the guy would have to come and check out my machine for a final total. He came spent 10 to 15 minutes literally and left. didn't wait for the cycle to spin or anything. I realize he can't sit here and wait for a spin cycle perhaps but by the time it spun it started to make a clunky sound. I thought perhaps it was b/c I hadn't used it for a few weeks or b/c i wasn't used to hearing it for a while and that is maybe how it always sounded but it got worse each day. I called besko and explained to them that I spent 300 and perhaps if they spent a little more time during the hour of labor I paid them for - they would have realized it was far worse. At least put it on a drain and spin cycle to see - that is only 11 minutes long. SO they sent him back and the drum or something is bent and it would cost more than what it is worth - took two appointments to figure that out and it only needed to be ONE and at the end of the day - the diagnostic was not done properly to begin with or I wouldn't have had to spend all this money to find out i need a new machine. I was told i should have told them that the drum or whatever was no good!? Uhmmm, I called you and paid for an hours worth of labor so YOU as the professional could figure that out for me. How would I know. I didn't go to school for this. If I did I'd be fixing it myself. How about stay more than 10 to 15 minutes and do a proper diagnostic to BEGIN WITH?They did send the person out here the SECOND time to finally do a proper diagnostic at no charge and he deemed it apparently to be not worth fixing. Couldn't tell me that the first time BEFORE you charged me $300. I have no idea what to look for but had he asked me - how did you notice the machine was caught - did you hear a sound - did it leak, etc... I would have told him it was making a very loud thumping sound and that's how I realized the originally issue to begin with. I assumed it made that sound BECAUSE it was caught in the clothes; why would I know anything about it being the drum ?! but apparently had I told them that they would have known it wasn't worth it - Uhmm then why not ask me questions to uncover that as I am not the professional here.
