BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!! AFTER 10+ years and 2 properties in need of propane, I FINALLY SWITCHED PROVIDERS!!!! BERWICK has proven to be DISHONEST and INCOMPETENT. With 40% propane left in the tank, they refuse to refund my money. A paid for product being returned without a refund is THEFT!. Incompetent because they made no effort to accommodate propane, 2 days of no propane, no heat during the coldest month of winter. After over 20 years with them I have to say they have zero respect for their customers. They are incompetent and can not do simple jobs a gas company should be capable of. They are unreliable and I changed to Heller after several infuriating situations they could not resolve and should be able to as a major gas company. Stay away! read more

I moved into a new home that is heated with propane. Berwick Gas Sales propane tank was attached to my home. I called to order propane. It was January and there was no propane. It e was Wednesday and they ensured me I would receive as delivery but the weekend. They could not give me a difficult date or even a window of time, just by the weekend I call Friday afternoon since here comes the weekend and I am sitting here in the frigid cold (snow and wind chill advisory of 20 below zero forecast for today and the weekend, you can check -jan 28, 2022) When I call I am told yes, you will absolutely be getting a delivery today, you have a crisis there and you will get propane today. No, no I didn't get a delivery. So I call again, it's the answering service. She must have been trained by the owner Joe because she lies her face off as well, I won't go into detail but she going up on me, apparently my crisis wasn't important enough for her to check on my delivery or to call Joe. I call Saturday morning. You will get a delivery today. I say I don't have much confidence in your statement, you told me that yesterday. Smart ass says to me "unless I get in the truck and drive your driver over to your house I can't guarantee a delivery" So once again, I have no clue if I'm getting propane today. I did look up Berwick Gas Sales on the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU website, there are just 3 complaints there, there will be 4 by the end of the day... This company has applied for accreditation by the BBB, their application is pending. I'm going to do my best to make sure this company is exposed for their true practices and not what they want the BBB to think their practices are. My advice to you if you are looking to review a company, good or bad, go to every outlet you can and express your concerns, let these companies be known for what they truly are. Good is good, right is right... Just like bad is bad and wrong is wrong. You cannot be a utility provider and lie your face off to people about getting a fuel delivery when the weather is sub zero outside. Do not play this game with someones life. I could be an elder person with limited mobility and frozen to death by the time they get here. Berwick Gas Sales, do not play with people's lives like this. You do not know someones situation, do not play God. I will be reviewing this company on every platform that excepts reviews. But not on Facebook, haha l. Why? Because Berwick Gas Sales removed their Facebook account. They didn't want anyone to see who they truly were on Facebook. That's where everyone can blast the truth easily and openly. Switched to Berwick after a terrible experience with another local propane company. They sold us our tanks and have been incredibly responsive ever since. Whenever I need a refill, they are friendly and usually arrive within 24-48h. Billing and payment is also easy. Highly recommend! read more

Berwick Propane customer service is A1. I switched back To Berwick after Local Propane Co In Bills Plaza (managed BY New Yorkers,) got snippy and when I ran low Called for refill and was told it would be a week. ??? I am 7 miles from them! I called Berwick they came out and replaced the tank with their's. The previous Propane Co left there tank for 6 months and when they came it had frozen in the ground, they left a huge hole and did nothing to repair the damage. Berwick is always there with in 24 hrs if not the same day if it is an emergency and they are Very competitive with pricing! They have a auto refill schedule I find very Helpful. Oh and Jeffery , when you move in to a home you ALWAYS SEE WHOS TANKS are attached and call Immediately to get it transferred, that's common sense. KUDOS BERWICK!! read more

Berwick Gas is unreliable. I would give it minus 20 stars, but there's no button for that. The only way it would post my comment is with 1 star, but that's too much for them. Seems to be there's only 1 guy on duty for emergencies, and you're plum out of luck if he's not in town. My house is freezing, and they can "possibly" get there by 10:30 tonight, but not sure cause they're not local. That's over 7 hours from the time I called them for help. So, what happens in the meantime should my pipes burst? I've turned everything off and have to find elsewhere to stay because no amount of electric heaters will heat up this place. If I could give Berwick Gas Sales minus 0 stars I would. I moved into my new home last December. This morning I see two men removing my propane tank. When I questioned them they stated they are taking my tank away without explanation. Not even ringing my doorbell or knocking on my door. What if I thought they were intruders? My first thought was to call the police as they were trespassing on my property. When I spoke with the Manager and asked why they are doing this he stated he can because the tank is theirs. No warnings, no mailings, nothing. Just show up on someones property and take possession. He stated you must sign up for an account. I stated ok but they took the tank anyway stating I had to start from scratch leaving me with no propane which runs half my house. I have an appointment with a lawyer to see my options. I should have called the police. Assuming direction for this fiasco comes from NORMAN SLIVUNSKI. If this is how someone runs a business I cannot imagine anyone in all of PA wanting to do business with BERWICK GAS SALES. I called Koppy's Propane and Michelle could not have been nicer. She set up an appointment for TODAY to install my new tank. That is how you do business. Whatever you do...RUN from Berwick Gas Sales and avoid them at ALL COSTS!! Trust me. read more
