I love Berwick Animal clinic and I'm so thankful to have found them! I have trusted Berwick with 3 of my dogs, each with their differing issues. Dr. Huter treated my dog Abby in her senior years and her eventual passing. Dr. Huter performed a successful toe amputation (due to cancer) that gave Abby her ability to walk on all fours back and when she eventually passed from bladder cancer Dr. Huter was always honest, kind, and helpful with her feedback. Dr. Huter has also performed 2 successful ACL surgeries on my senior dog Keaton. She always explains all options to me and talks me through any questions or concerns. Keaton is currently on his way to recovery thanks to the care provided at Berwick! I can usually get in to see a vet quickly. The front staff is great and always relays any questions I have back to the veterinary staff. There is a gentleman named Mike who is exceptionally kind and good with my dogs! Pricing is more than fair and I would recommend this business to anyone! read more

Friendly staff and attentive awesome doctors! Very clean inside and usually get you in when it's your appointment time. They explain everything to you so you understand what is going on with your animal! They offer boarding but never had to use this service. Today we took Preston for his yearly physical. We got our pittie from the humane society and did not know how he would act in a vet office. We called and they directed us right in and into a room. The staff listened and answered all questions examined him and got him up to date. Great customer service, waiting and exam areas were clean, and they made us feel comfortable with bringing him there. Pricing I feel like it is reasonable and not over the top. HORROR STORY AT BERWICK ANIMAL CLINIC My dog Bayou went into Berwick Animal Clinic on Friday June 18th for an ACL repair surgery. All was fine until around 1pm we get a call from a Doctor saying something was wrong and could have severe consequences. When they put bayou under and shaved him for the surgery there was a huge mistake. Instead of injecting an epidural into his spine THEY USED ANTIBIOTICS THAT ARE NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE INJECTED INTO THE SPINE. It was only the second case of this happening ever in animals so we have no idea what the long term affects might be. We also are still asking questions of what protocols were not followed in order for this to happen since it was THE SECOND TIME IN HISTORY that this has happened to an animal. Someone blatantly disregarded something for such a novel mistake to occur. They claimed it was just a medical mistake and "these thing happen", but I would recommend never taking a chance with this practice or Joe Bando ever again. Joe also stated that our two requests for compensation (paying for the surgery and follow up visits for Bayou's spine) were completely reasonable. Only to turn around the next day and say that he felt he "shouldn't have to pay for a surgery that his practice isn't doing." This was also after having no contact with Berwick until we called the next day. Please help us get the word out!!! If this was another substance that was mixed up he could have been killed or paralyzed. We never want to see something like this happen to anyone else. read more

I picked Berwick Animal Clinic mainly because it is not far from where I live. I STAYED because they run a great office, and Dr. Kid is very friendly. I have been taking my Havanese puppy since I got him in May. All of my visits have been timely, not making me wait long in the lobby or in the exam room. When he was neutered, they gave me exact guidelines and time frames for what I needed to do, and when I could pick him up so I didn't have to wait around all day for a call. One of my favorite aspects is that they are always accommodating to the best of their ability. I have asked simple "how to" and "how should I" questions over the phone, with courteous and simple responses. I also love that I can pick up single doses of his medication (flee and heartworm) so that it is more affordable. All I do is call before I leave my house, and they add me in the schedule for a quick pickup. If nothing else, the cost seems very affordable. They are reasonable with their pricing and have options if something unexpected and costly comes up. The office is very clean, and I always feel comfortable there. I am so glad I found such a great little clinic in a big city. read more

If I could give this place a lower score, it would be around - 1 gazillion!!!!!!! 0 compasion. Period!!! My best friend, love of my days, soul animal passed unexpectedly and suspiciously and because he was healthy and hadn't been seen in the last few years, these animal loving or should I say greed mongering professionals won't even send OSU a referral for an autopsy/necropsy to find out what suddenly ended our poor boys life at such an early age. Bobcat was only 6 years old and in amazing health. He was active, friendly, playful and always extremely social. He never met a person he didn't like. We didn't skimp on his vet care. He was neutered, got his rabies shots etc. He had feline crystal disorder and we took him every time he had an episode. The vet there told us that we wet bringing him too often, and not to bring him back for this issue unless he became blocked (which thankfully, he never did) he hadn't been see at the clinic for a couple years because he was a happy healthy cat. Bob passed suddenly and unexpectedly so we wanted to do a necropsy and find out what took our sweet boy. I spoke to a staff member at Berwick and told them we needed a referal to have this procedure done at OSU. all they had to say was they were his last veterinarian of record. I called the clinic, they looked up our records and said they were sending the referal. We went to OSU, they didn't have the referal. I called the clinic and they said they would send the referal. We left our beloved cat there for the procedure. The clinic was supposed to call us when the referal was sent. Because it was getting close to the end of the day and we hadn't heard, my husband ran over to the clinic. He was informed that they refused to send the referal because he hadn't been seen in over a year. They lied to our faces multiple times today, and allowed us to leave our sweet boy at OSU when they had no intention of sending the needed paperwork. We are living a nightmare right now because of Berwick Animal Hospital. Beware before taking your animal there for any kind of care. Because these people only care about your money. read more

Trips to the veterinarian have been stressful for both myself and my dog for years. As a military spouse we've moved around a lot and that means our dog has been at a new vet every few years. Nobody ever tried to understand or calm him, even though he's never bitten anyone most places stick a muzzle on him and hold him down to get what needs done, done. He was such a good dog at the vet but slowly with all these terrible vets his be subjected to he has become very anxious and on edge. He used to sit and let someone do a blood drawl but so many techs have corner him and stuck him multiple times and still be unable draw blood. Then make comments about him. I'm like yeah well if you had a stranger in your face who stuck you 5 times you wouldn't be happy either! Anyway, digress. After a long long line of terrible vets I was incredibly impressed with my visit to this clinic. I can't remember the name of the veterinarian that saw him but she was amazing!! No muzzle used, she took her time to understand him and was flexible with what he was comfortable with. She got the blood draw on the first stick. It was the best vet visit we've had in the last five years! Highly highly recommend this clinic and I'm so happy we've finally found a place to hopefully call home. read more

The staff at this practice are incredibly friendly, especially Mike at the front desk. Dr. Bando is by far the best vet that I have used. What I like is that he takes the time to address all of your concerns with your pet. He never appears to be rushing you out. When he explains the current care plan for your pet, he also explains what the next step would be if the current option does not work. This alleviates a lot of the stress of not knowing what to do if something doesn't work. The practice is also fairly priced. Location is a bit inconvenient as I have to drive 30 minutes to get there but the doctor and staff make the drive well worth it. read more

Dr. Kidd and the Berwick Animal Clinic give my pets the best veterinary care they have ever received (and I've been with a couple of other vets in my life). Dr. Kidd's knowledge far exceeds that of a typical vet. When my cat was dying (around the time of the "Sheeba" cat food scare), my then-vet didn't know what was wrong. I was frustrated and, too late, turned to Dr. Kidd and her staff. Ever since, I've been very happy with the care my animals get. Berwick may be more expensive than the ordinary vet, but you get exceedingly knowledgeable and competent doctors in exchange. My advice: Invest in a good pet insurance carrier and see Dr. Kidd! read more

I have had 4 dogs who were patients of Dr. Huter. She is so amazing with my babies. She takes her time with them and explains everything in detail. I would never consider going anywhere else. She always acknowledges my dogs before she speaks to me, that tells me a lot about her love of animals. I have been driving from Dublin to see Dr Bando for almost a decade now. He is such a caring and compassionate doctor. The entire staff is so welcoming and kind. In July 2019, my 14 year old dog had cancer and had to have a leg removed. They were so patient with all my questions and helped her make a wonderful recovery! I had to bring my cat in for a two-part dental surgery since he had advanced forl progressions. The service and staff were amazingly supportive. Dr Kidd clearly explained everything, and even kept one of the extracted teeth to show us how progressed the dental disease had been. I have been taking my dogs to this vet for 10 years we love them. We recently had to put our dog down he had cancer it was very hard for our family as we had him for 10 years. They made room in a busy day for us to bring him in and have him put down. Dr. Huder even sent us a very nice hand written card afterwords very thoughtful. Dr. Bando, Mike at the desk, Jackie & Michael & the rest of the team have always went above and beyond to take care of Belle, Jack & Slinky for years. They are compassionate, understanding, and always available to help, especially in a crisis. I recently had a scary situation with my diabetic cat, Jack, he was having a reaction to something. Dr. Bando watched over him until he was safe, and even calling me at home to check up on him later in the evening.
