They are very expensive. You pay for everything. Some staff like dr. Stafford are very rude. Also their other services are very very expensive. E.g. teeth cleaning is around 1,400 $ which is in my humble opinion ridiculous. read more

Thank you so much for the last few years of care. Every staff member we've encountered has always been kind and supportive and above all extremely knowledgeable. We recently said goodbye to both of our dogs and the staff made sure every detail was thought of during an incredibly difficult time. We just opened the remembrance gift sent by the staff today (it was misplaced in a move) and I'm so very thankful. I realize how busy things can be. We're only human, but when it comes down to making sure we have the right patients I want to make sure the staff knows they're seeing "Rex" and not "Bella," (names used are for illustration purposes). Perhaps this is an indication there are too many appointments in one day, I'm not sure. However, I want the same care, love and attention for my animal as I would a human companion. On the very, very postive side, I was extremely relieved that my dog's mass was able to be "needled" and determined unnecessary for further testing without payment. This was a huge relief because my breed of dog have masses all the time and if I was forced to pay for every initial assessment I'd be broke. Was super pleased to hear we could quickly look at the initial results and determine further testing wasn't necessary at no cost!! I feel I'm getting the best care I can give my animals. I trust, respect and feel that my animal is in the right hands when I'm at UAVH. read more

I've been struggling to find a trustworthy vet since I've moved to the Columbus area. I've looked for weeks and due to their high ratings thought I would give this clinic a try and WOW. We are so thankful for upper Arlington. Our youngest dog is alive and thriving thanks to them. They were so fast to get her in and be seen when she was showing some very scary symptoms of something larger. Their practice continued to see her as we went down the long road of finding a diagnosis for her. Our pup has a more on the rare side autoimmune disorder and Dr. Giadis has been one of the most supportive, caring, and compassionate people on her journey of managing it. We love UVAH and wish we never had to leave. I took my dog to Dr. Harney on the first day I got her, so we've been with him from the beginning. He is so kind and knowledgeable. When my dog had GI issues, we explored many options and they always squeezed her in for emergency appointments. I can't say enough good things about the doctors, techs, and staff. The physical building is also beautiful and clean. My dog loved going there because of the good experiences she had. The ONLY reason we left was because we moved out of state. Atrocious experience here with Joanna. My mother's elderly dog with a known abdominal mass was seen on a Thursday after experiencing new symptoms and labs were drawn. Joanna promised she would call the next day with results, and failed to. My mother followed up on Saturday and was promised a follow up call from Joanna that day. The receptionist indicated that the labs had been back since Friday. On Monday, my mother called one more time and was STILL put off, at which point she demanded a printout of results to take to another vet who might actually help. Joanna did nothing but send her a text offering to "fit her in" to discuss the results that had been promised 4 DAYS ago with no apology whatsoever. Along with the inflated fees this place charges, her experience shows that it's clearly a business first and provider second. Will never be back! read more

Took my mom's new kitten in for a check-up during COVID. Had to stay in the car, while a tech transported the kitten in and out. She was very nice, and the kitten came back with a green star sticker on her head for being a good girl. But I thought that the bill was excessive. The kitty received no shots or tests. We will find another vet. read more

Had a very good experience here! The vet was great with my puppy and older dog. The puppy is still afraid of the vet and the doctor had great ideas to calm him down including spraying cheese spray on the ground, that worked great! The scheduling and price quote process is exceptional. Parking was great, especially for downtown/campus area residents which can be hard to find. Was able to wait in an awesome private room and appointment was done early! Excellent services and they are conscious of clients budgets and very respectful while having premium offerings available should clients want them. I truly can't say enough good things about Upper Arlington Veterinary Hospital. The entire staff, from the vet techs, to the assistants, to the doctors (and we've seen most of them!), has consistently given top-notch care to our two cats. Unfortunately, one of our cats became very ill in February and we had to take her in multiple times during the COVID-19 pandemic. She continued to get outstanding care, and although the building was closed to the public for everyone's safety, we were always given detailed updates by doctors or vet techs. I've practically had them on speed dial for the past few months, and they have always been kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Knowing I can reach out to them with any questions or concerns has been such a relief as we continue to try to get our cat feeling better. Very thankful for this hospital, they are so kind and so patient. My partner and I called in our baby girl (beautiful orange kitty named Nala) for an emergency visit. They were able to get us in that day. Things turned toward the worst and we decided to say goodbye to her. It was so sudden and heart breaking. Dr Bonfiglio was amazing through that horrible time. I had THE BEST experience with UAVH. I booked an appointment when our regular vet could not see us. On our first visit, Dr. Harney diagnosed my dog as being in Addisonian Crisis. As Jim and Dr. Harney took care of my dog, I was truly touched how gentle they were being with G, my dog. We actually had our now former place (spoiler alert: I am switching forever to UA Vet Hospital) tell us how awful our dog is about getting blood drawn or getting an injection and the staff reported G being great for them (which I have to believe is more about how UAVH operates and that G found that a lot less scary). It's hard not to think about how things could have gone wrong if we hadn't ended up coming to UAVH and having Dr. Harney see her, but I'm so glad we don't have to figure out what that looks like. And when we took her to MedVet at Dr. Harney's recommendation, we found out that our MedVet doctor takes her pets to UAVH too! In sum, we're believers and I will not be taking my dogs anywhere else. read more
